On the other hand, Vee has a lot of quarks that can be Serena Trouble, she just hasn't tapped into it..instead of trying to match Serena's power Vee needs to scale it back and use her techniques, dial back the intensity, in other words--play 'white' It will throw Serena totally off! This is exactly how Maria beat Serena at Wimbledon.

@Danashtheman1232 ITA! Venus is every bit a good as Serena. It's just about mentality that separates them IMO, not talent. Venus' mentality at Wimbledon is the kind of mentality Serena brings to all Slams. If Venus brought that same mentality to all the Slams as she has done on grass, she'd IMO have just as many Singles Slam Titles as Serena.

I like Venus a lot and she's the best grass court player of her generation...But how strange in the intro to this interview that they show all US players in open era who won Wimbledon - King, Evert, Davenport, Williams sisters - EXCEPT FOR Navratilova, the US citizen who won more Wimbledon titles than any other woman in history. How can you have a clip entitled 'Wimbledon History' and not show its greatest champion ever? Very interesting omission - says a lot about the US view of Navratilova.

@miggy25 I agree ...if Venus played the way she does on grass in all the other tournaments she would have more slams. I remember when she USE to play that way on all surfaces back in 2001 and 2002 but her sister was on fire those years as well. There is a slim margin of who's better out of Venus and Serena..but Serenas mental toughness is what helps her game.

Venus isn't flashy. It's like Hollywood. The flashier and more outrageous you can be either in dress, speech, or action, the more press you get. You'll notice, they get more attention but also twice the criticism by the same poeple. Venus just does her. I like that.

Well Like in everything people want to see people who have something to say.Good or bad. Venus like Sampras is a quiet champion and people respect, but really do not want to see it. They want to be entertained. Serena is fiery, and mean. People love it. And thus venus is pushed to the sidelines!

I hope the Wimbledon victory motivates Venus for sure. Venus has won Wimbledon 4 times she's in elite territory. Wimbledon is the jewel of tennis and for Venus to have won it 4 times is incredible.
