No need to be racist, surely. And I think you'll find that many people other than 'white trash Brits' would find it both interesting and enlightening that the vast majority of Argentinians from Maradona on down seem to find the handball goal more pleasing than what was arguably the greatest, most beautiful goal ever scored. Personally I think it reflects a deep-seated inferiority complex (i.e. putting one over on 'The Man'), but then I was raised to respect fair play.
