the way he pulls guard it looks like he is going for either the Z-guard or the X-guard, but he immediately transitions into the submission without establishing either. therefore, i think he had drilled that move (guard pull to knee bar) and the weight distribution of his opponent allowed him to get it. he had two other guards set up if it failed. i will soon put up another amazing samuel monin match in which he gets the highest ever score i have filmed in bjj match - ends in submission too.
