I was in the same situation leaving a club, fight and shooting break out, cop tells me to back up my car as another cop runs behind me. I almost hit him, he in turn bashes my window out and starts attacking me i was beaten by several cops and in court they tried to attach me to the man they caught with the gun whom I'd never met. Charged with assault on 2 cops & resisting
@Mizzac my car was ranshacked nothing was found, I was knocked out cold by cops b/c they say i wouldn't put my hands behind my back, but i was only protecting myself from repeated kicks and punches to the face. I suffered cuts and bruises to my head, neck, elbows, knees and back. I was punched several times b4 I could remove my seatbelt in-fact b4 the beaten spilled out to the parking lot grounds. As far as cuffing a prisoner its standard procedure in almost any police department because prisoners have faked injury/pain/unconciousness to try and escape the scene of a crime, or in my case from an emergency room

The report I heard was also that he was drunk. Drunk or not, running over police officers would most likely get you shot. I'm white and I would expect to be shot at if I drive over 2 police officers. I also did write that the people there were not helping, besides the police, one woman in a white coat or sweater can be seen doing CPR, all other persons are distracting and causing help to be diverted from the young man on the ground. We will see after the investigation is conluded who bears liability.

It doesn't matter that I wasn't there, nor was the reporter gathering the facts on the story. The cop just happens to be white and the now dead drunk driver who tried to run down a police officer happens to be black. Let me tell you something kid, if you were in a 2000 pound car driving towards me, I wouldn't even think twice to pull the trigger.The officers acted in self defense, its just that simple. Lessons to be learned from this tragedy
1. Don't consume alcohol when you're underage in a public place then get into a fight
2. When the police show up, don't try to run; ESPECIALLY in a car.
3. When you run from the police, you're catching an ass whuppin; it's a rule. But if you head even REMOTELY toward a standing officer driving a car, you CAN be shot. Shoot FIRST and ask questions LATER, that's how police officers stay alive

I was in the same situation leaving a club, fight and shooting break out, cop tells me to back up my car as another cop runs behind me. I almost hit him, he in turn bashes my window out and starts attacking me i was beaten by several cops and in court they tried to attach me to the man they caught with the gun whom I'd never met. The report I heard was also that he was drunk. Drunk or not, running over police officers would most likely get you shot. I'm white and I would expect to be shot at if I drive over 2 police officers. driving up to the scene of a large brawl involving numerous negroes,,officers are very defensive and concerned with their own safety as well as safety of possible victims a t location,,,looking at dj henrys photo,,two large earrings immediately would think playa or banger,,,not a chemistry major at a local college,,again defensive mode kicks in,,,parked in a fire lane,,as if preparing for quick geteaway as if involved in brawl,,lets see,legally drunk,,hmmm,,,,,,this young man fucked up

@nastylefthook1 first of all it was many different kinds of kids celebrating the homecoming game not just numerous "negroes" as you put it.. and now police evidence..shows that theres is no evidence that the kid was drunk or that he was even in the bar. The kid was asked to leave by one cop and the other cop jump to conclusions thinking he was making a getaway and got in front of the car with his weapon drawn after the kid had already started moving from they shit and he hit the second one.

@friendfriendsfriend .. he was at the bar, he drank there, he was supposed to be the D/D for others at the bar, toxicology shows 1.3 blood alcohol level. he hit the first cop with his car, broke his knee and tried to run down the other cop who ended up on his hood, where he shot him.

The police are spilling unconfirmed findings, the media is making it worse. I know the public wants to know what happened...but, we have Police investigating Police right now and they ran to the media while, we the Pace University students and witnesses held off because while grieving we were bombarded. for the person who placed that racial comment--- How dare you? This world has chaos and broken morals because of people like you! It all would stop if we found fellowship in eachother as people!

Why does everyone immediately think that the Police are always to blame? The kid started a brawl at a bar with a .13% BAC, got in his car, and hit two police officers. I'm not an expert concerning the Law but can't that be considered Attempted Manslaughter or something similar? It doesn't satisfy me that someone had to die but come on, where else should the line be drawn? Had he not been stopped who knows who else he would have killed.

white victims of police violence survive. black victims of police violence often die. THAT'S the reason why is not published in the media.
white victims win lawsuits or settlements, black victims hardly ever get compensation (those that live) white victims are assumed innocent but black victims MUST have been guilty of something. white victims get the benefit of doubt, black victims don't.

Also, usually when there are so few facts I side with the Police-it's so common for people to just completely make things up, especially when they're so obviously in hysterics. I'm not dismissing that it is possible that the Police truly did just shoot the poor kid, as I'm totally willing to say, "Okay, he was killed unjustly," if there is proof of this.

The evidence now it that the kid was not drunk at all..you might want to get an updated story because all witnesses so far are saying the police are at fault and that the car barely moved before it was lit up with bullers...There was no attempted manslaughter..just a kid doing what he was told and leaving the fire lane just to have a crazed police officer jump in front with a gun... The police officer is the man slaughterer

As for the idiots who inflamed the situation afterwards, they should have calmed down or left the scene, they just made it worse.
For all of you who sit at home and guess at what happened or start rumors without support save it and let the forensics prove the case in whatever direction it takes it. I am sure there is video from some vantage point the police cars, the bar from which he was leaving the store where it all ended.

@shottanikka I never eluded to that, I did write that I am sure we will see once all the evidence and if there is any video around the scene is collected exactly what had happened. I also did write that the people there were not helping, besides the police, one woman in a white coat or sweater can be seen doing CPR, all other persons are distracting and causing help to be diverted from the young man on the ground. We will see after the investigation is conluded who bears liability.

@job1866 YES, THEY DO! That's the first part of this problem. Most ppl in this country are indoctrinated to believe whatever they are told by "AUTHORITIES". They see the "Title" &/or "Uniform" as something above reproach. Like it makes the person bearing the title & wearing the uniform some type of "SUPERMAN". Not acknowledging that a corrupt or corruptable person before the title & uniform, only becomes a corrupt or corruptable person with "POWER" after the title & uniform have been bestowed.

@job1866 This issue isn't even really about Black & White. It's about Black & Blue! Once ppl become cops their own race phases out, & the uniform phases in. Black cops are often the worst when it comes to the treatment of their own race. They want to prove to their white counterparts that they have no loyalty to their own kind. That "BLUE" is the only color that matters. Ppl are being led like lambs to slaughter, & most will climb over your back to get there! Uncle Sam is the greatest! SMH!
