  • Is there any way to lighten the 3500dpi version mouse? It's pretty heavy.

  • ITS THE SONG FROM SIMS CITY 4

  • So what was the point of this?

  • разобрать та разобрал, а собрать?

  • dude that's sim city 4 music yeah

  • I've had a Razor Precision 2000DP for years and the last couple months it's been double and triple clicking like crazy at the slightest touch. Not software or mouse properties either guys\gals. Anywho, it always amazes me how far we've come and how good we have it these days. You can actually google "Taking apart my damn Razor mouse" and find something. You young'ns have no idea how easy your world is ;)

Thanks for the vid! It's a close enough model to see there are contacts that I can fix.

  • first song name? anyone

  • If you take apart an Apple mouse, you will find a Ferret

  • whats the point?

  • @2GamingSwedes No. I was using it on my black (slightly glossy) PC desk.

  • I can't beleive I need to use a white paper, to use the mouse...

  • @Poodleinacan Are you using a plastic mousemat otherwise?

  • Next Time! Take the garanty dumb ass,ppl that normaly have the true use of a pro gamer mice are not that stupid.

  • get a tripod

  • NO =(

  • wyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy WHAT Did

the mouse do to you ;S

  • @TheLeosim it wasnt reacting like he wanted( *cough cough* lack of skills)

  • I'm thinking of disassemble mine. Is there any weight(sinker) inside it? I can't convince myself as to whether by your video.

  • Hey my DA mouse scroll has started to turn yellow and.. is their a chemical i can soak it in to get back that white color?

  • I WOULD NEVER TAKE OF THOSE MOUSE FEETS "WHITE STICKERS" !!!

  • its a serial number not a license plate number to a care lol.

  • can the same teflon feet that the deathadder comes with be re applied after you take them off?

  • @majortankzTF2 should be able to re-use it but advisable to purchase a set of new ones.

  • Did you get the screws out easily the first time?

I can't get them out they are screwed in too tight

  • @SexyMisterDave Yep. Juz needed a little of force to get all 3 of them undone...but not too much forcefully as it will break the poly-carbonate (plastic) stand-offs. Juz apply some force gradually till you hear a sound like something was broken inside. That indicates that the metal screw has been slightly loosen from its poly-carb stand-offs groove.

  • @geraldlkc my screws screwed in really tight too but it doesn't break when i use a little bit force?

  • sim city 4 soundtrack ftw!!

  • its a bad usb connection probably inside the mouse my old razor use to do that

  • I can't disassemble my DA :( the midbottom screw is screwed up, and the other two, it just can't reach them

  • @sfour you probably stripped the screws so your screwd ...

  • I know there's a reason for it but why do you censored the serial number?

  • @jetpack1986 idk...I wasn't thinking clearly at that time. Sorry.

  • @jetpack1986 Not sure how but if i remember correctly a buddy of mine had some stuff stolen from him because someone claimed that it was theirs and they copied the serial number, so thats why some do it, idk how some people get away with it tho

  • @jetpack1986 Because he wouldnt dissassemble it without having the garanty,...whats a fake.he dont even need to repair.

  • 2:55 I see what you did there.

  • i bought this mouse in March this year and in May the mouse started to have problems, it unpluged by itself the ligths of the mouse start blinking and the mouse turn off. If someon has the same problem and may help me i would be greatfull, this mouse is shit dont buy it, it is preferable the Micorosoft intellimouse 1.1

  • @CarbonoPrdccns What OS are you using? Version of your DeathAdder mice? Maybe you could update the mouse firmware and grab the latest drivers.

    My current OS is Win7 Ultimate x64. Firmware - v1.39 NDC & Driver - v3.03 (for 1800dpi)

  • @geraldlkc My OS is Windows XP, the drivers and the firmware are on the latest update (Firmware 2.45 & Driver 3.03) My mouse is the razer deahtadder 3500 dpi. I think that I will buy the 1.1 its like 15$. I ask for the warranty but they didnt change it, they say that the mouse was working fine, but I tested the mouse on 2 laptot and my PC and it is still with the same problem :(

  • @CarbonoPrdccns idk, could be Motherboard's USB port faulty; or not giving enuf power to the mice; or other possiblities that causes the intermittent connection of mice and motherboard, like IRQ or drivers conflict. I'm not sure myself. Try flashing to the latest BIOs if you may or you could test the mouse onto your friend's PC. If problem still persist write in to your Razer's dealer.

*sometimes it could be unstable PSU causing this dilemma...juz saying. Will search for clues for you.

  • @CarbonoPrdccns It seems like a handful of ppl out there who owns Razer mice are facing some problems too. Well if you copy and paste this(w/o the quotes) into your search bar of your favourite search engine --> "Info: Deathadder USB Device Not Recognised" <-- and click on the first link (overclock net).

Not sure whether your problem is related, but I'm sure there is an answer somewhere in this link or in others links.

  • @CarbonoPrdccns this is with other mice aswell its because youre cable is damaged from the inside i had same problem with Logitech g9 and the mx518 if u open up you need to connect the cable back to the where its "half attached too and it will work again :)

  • Poor poor mouse

  • @plop6 Still functioning well. Soon it will be undergoing it's maintainence schedule and I will be making a full tutorial of this mice's disassembly.

  • What did that poor professional mouse do to you except excel your life :[

  • @MrtBAProductions As long I treat "her" well by maintaining and cleaning her, "she" will serve me well till her last click.

In fact, if one does a tri-monthly PC maintainence, not only does it last till obsoletion, you'll do save quite alot. As you know that technologies are going at a light-speed rate and it is hard to keep up unless I'm born with a silver spoon or income keeps coming to me like Niagara Falls.

  • Appreciate the video, but man is that scroll wheel dirty. Next time wipe the cheeto dust off your fingers before you scroll like a mad man. *j/k*

  • @Jinto117 lol nice one. That's tobacco stain from my fingers being transferred to the scroll wheel :D

  • @geraldlkc chewn' tobacco!?

  • @savagekiller99 lol...

  • man ur mouse is dirty

  • SG here =D

  • i can't get the screws open or something.... they're stuck to the plastic i think

  • @Goepie Pretty sure they're fully unscrewed? Maybe u could try to pry a little while unscrewing them. Try not to use to much force or they might snap off. Best use a screw-driver with a magnetic head.

  • @geraldlkc well i can't unscrew them because they're stuck or something i've used pretty much force and even let someone else try it... and i'm a bit scared not to break it all open

  • @Goepie Oh, better stop then as you'll risk breaking the support.

  • It's only been 7months and 2 of my fucken' buttons broke,mousebutton4 and left click...It's a BUMMER since I have a Lan gaming Fest up in 2 weeks..

Do you think warranty will cover this?

    Please help..

  • @DragonAxe666 Let's hope you would get a new mice from Razer.

  • Howd you pull out those screws? for the life of me i cant get them undone

  • @deathrunning Remove the 2 top teflon pads to reveal 2 black screws and the third screw is located slightly above the bottom teflon pad, but this requires you to break the seal of the warranty. When it is done, everything is much pretty straight forward when you ripped apart your mouse.

  • Guys I have a deathadder and it double clicks everytime I single click it. (Left Click)

Sometimes it doesn't even respond to my click. So it seems that the click is somehow damaged or something. I need step by step instructions on how to fix it myself. Cuz I can't turn it in on warranty basis.

  • @MUnknownGI Could be internal hardware switch (left clicks), wiring twisted due to constant usage,

Software/drivers misconfig or clashes with previous or uninstalled drivers,

M/B IRQ conflict? Not updating M/B chipset drivers to the latest? Still using outdated M/B BIOs? Broken USB port and so on.

Out of warranty as stated -> Try it onto another PC or a Laptop and see how it goes, or a different USB port.

If prob still persist, then i think ur mouse maybe 'broken'.

  • @MUnknownGI Happend to me to but i just made a proper clean and took it all apart. i mean everything. its dirt on the inside the button on the circitboard.

on 4:08 you can see a picture of the button (same on the other side) its the white, black, white one near the LED. just take it apart and clean it.

  • @MUnknownGI we have the same problem bro :| have you fix yours?

  • @trebkawaii I don't know what happened i opened it cleaned it and it didn't help. After a while i reinstalled my windows and had new drivers installed and it worked fine.

  • @MUnknownGI & @trebkawaii. It helps to do a re-installation of OS. But what if One doesn't want to take the hassle to do it?

A solution, which may or may not help, is to uninstall the current Razer drivers, OS generic drivers and cleaning up the registry (in safe-mode would be better). Unplug the mouse and reboot. Plug it in and wait for detection, install the Razer drivers, and reboot. Best tool to use to maintain Win-Registry are JV16 or CCleaner. TuneUp Utilities works too.

    Hope this helps.

  • anyone knows how to fix the scroll? mine just stop responding, it only works has a button.

  • @Kapitan234 HI, you'll need to give more info about the problem so that we (everyone on Youtube) could help you. Thks.

  • @geraldlkc i just realized i was not very specific lol. My scroll today died. I can't hear the "clicks" that it does when you move the wheel up and down, it just goes without resistance. The scroll light and the button functionality of it are still working.

The wierd part is that i was only using it on firefox, so there was no excesive force.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @Kapitan234 Chk my response to MUnknownGI. It (scroll wheel) may be quite smiliar to what i've stated. Also, check your Mouse config/Properties under Control Panel and Settings of whichever version of Windows you are currently using. If possible, try re-installing the mouse driver. Try it onto another PC or a Laptop and see how it goes, or a different USB port. If prob (scroll wheel) still persist, then i think ur mouse maybe 'broken'

(sorry for the cut & paste work)

  • @IllusionMailer 3 years and still using it.

  • @IllusionMailer Yes, I had it for about 3 years and currently still using it.

  • @IllusionMailer Yes, I had it for about 3 years and currently still using it. Had treated the mice badly when having a bad session on MW and MW2. Only thing is that part of the rubber surface had worn off, bottom had scratches, other than that, all are still is good condition

  • Now can you make a video on how to reassemble it. :S

  • @baseballwizard Sry bro...too lazy to do that.

  • @geraldlkc

My back button broke and I just wanted to see if there was anyway to fix it, it was cracked so Ill just end up buying another one tomorrow. Video helped alot thanks.

  • @baseballwizard Sure...no problem.

  • Comment removed

  • @itskevinheath Not sure but it seems the both DAs editions layouts are similiar. Oh...you have to wait for the warranty to expire first and then give it a shot.

  • what a dirty razer u have?

  • @mikzmikko23 Thks. This isn't the worst yet you've seen, actually it's quite clean when I shot this video... :)

  • was it worth it?

  • @mrwhatwhat15 Quite Ok I'd say and out of curiousity to see whats inside. Besides, it has past it's warranty period and its rubber padded feets needed replacement, therefore, why not take this as an experiment just to kill my boredom. Lastly, since my younger days, I loved taking things apart and putting back the way it was...(almost).

  • i want this song, and this helped me fix my broken diamondback 3g. kudos.

  • @uselessmarial Sure you have this song but I'm not gonna upload to any website. You can watch in 720p and sountrack would be in 192kbps, then open Internet options. Under Browsing History click settings and View Files, search for a MP4 file abt 100MB. Once found the file then use ur fav mp3 ripper to extract the sound from the video. I'm using using Adobe Audition 3 to do most of my ripping.

For ur DB-3G, that I had it too, not sure how to go abt as it's under warranty. Sorryz.

  • @geraldlkc

i just wanted the title of the song, i wouldnt go worrying how id obtain it. i'll worry about that :p

also, i dont know what you are not sure about because i disassembled my DB3G with ease yesterday, i found the problem...although i dont think i can fix it, and basically that issue is that..the plastic piece that makes contact with the "button" inside to left click..has been worn down and doesn't make full contact anymore, this is what you get for slamming your left click down :(

  • @uselessmarial Can't help much with this, sryz. Maybe u could hot-glued the plastic back to the 'leg' or molded it to form an extention out of the hot-glue.

As for the songs. The 1st one had gotten out from "Sim City 4" and the 2nd one is from "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" (Nemesis Quest). Both songs are taken out from the games either directly from the CD itself or from the installation folder(s).

  • Got any idea how to make the scroll run harder? :o

  • @fizikeL Find an old or broken mouse(s). Remove the scroll wheel and fit it into your DA. It may help a little...or...may not.

idk bro, mine's too running loosely especially when on gaming. Using the scroll wheel alot while switching weapons in MW2. But that doesn't really bother me much. Get used too, or you could juz get a new one. (sryz for sounding to harsh)

  • Well I saw someone put some kind of paper next to his wheel when he opened it - the bigger the paper was the harder the wheel would run - so I thought you'd have any idea like that. I don't want to open it if I have no idea though. Still thanks,I'm gonna get a G500 as soon as this breaks (got enough of Razer for now.)

  • @fizikeL I thought of that too and I wouldn't think of it as a permanent solution. It may or may not wear off the support of the wheel quickly. But anyways, It's no harm in trying that out, right? I ought to give that a shot and when time comes, I'll post a video review of the result.

    Thks and good luck.

edit* Both Razer, Logitech and other products are neither bad nor great for gaming, they're just fine as long we are comfortable with it and it's drivers neither giving as problems.

  • Would be very nice of you to post a response there! And yea, everybody got his own opinion. :-)

  • @fizikeL surely, surely I would try to post a response of it. Juz gimme a couple of days to sort out my time and I'll let ya know.

  • @fizikeL

Im not sure if you mean that it is physically to loose or if you mean that the mouse scrolls to fast in game. If you want it to scroll slower in game, you can change that in the mouse section of the control panel.

  • @CoryDemone I think he meant that the switch linking to the scroll wheel was 'loose' and therefore by stuffing pieces of paper at the other end of the support, it would helps to 'tighten' when scrolling. Changing the settings from the software doesn't help much. Tried that too. It's bcoz more likely everyones' heavy usage of scrolling to search for songs in our mp3 collection, surfing the internet or in forums, etc. that's why wheel in certain mouse tends to have these 'loose' feeling.

  • I've seen that,I want to make it to get stuck harder when I scroll, really hard to explain.

  • Hi all pls joiin my and my friends DA Fraggers group in facebook. Just search for Razer DA Fraggers!

Post a pic of your DA and lets UNITE!

    Soon in steam!

  • sup bro have any suggestion to fix double click?

  • @nukec Not sure tho...maybe its switches has worn off. If that's isn't the case and is working properly, you could try programing the macros.

  • @nukec edit: try searching "how to fix double click in deathadder" with your favourite seach engine. Hope you can get some answers from there.

  • IS it compatible with Windows 7?

  • @Kazier312 Yes, it is compatible from Win2k, XP, Vista and Win7. I'm on Win 7 Ultimate x64 and had no problems with its v3.01 drivers.

  • my deathadder broke after like 3 month :(

it can suddenly just like stop work and sometimes it lagges as hell.

when i put in the USB the scroll start glowing but not the logo, and it doesent work. The computer says like: Cant recognise usb shit etc... pls help me if you can.

  • @affse Not sure about this. Some suggestions:

    1. Maybe u can flash your Razer D.A to a newest firmware and grab the latest drivers to give it a try.

    2. Test it at a different PC or a Laptop, or try a different mouse on the same PC.

    3. Update your motherboard's chipset drivers, [or flash it to the latest BIOs. Last resort if all fails(not so recommended)]

    4. Maybe motherboard is almost broken and can't give enuf power to the D.A mouse?

    5. RMA if it is under warranty. ***Recommended***

  • my deathadder gets this white stuf near the buttons and crap...

  • @crackhead4211 Sweat from your palm and fingers, plus dust and dirt from the surrounding air around us will settle down on the sweat stain mouse. After sweat has dried up it will form a thin layer of "dirt-cake", and this will happen after days of usage.

Use a damp cloth to clean the surface of the mouse only. No chemical nor any washing agent to be used, as it will remove the rubber surface and thus makes the mouse sticky.

    Hope this helps. ;)
