What's wrong with a female singing this? You know in the GNG manga there was a female Tosa inu who was one of the strongest characters. Let's not forget Cross.

Sorry I got mixed up. There's a female Tosa inu in a different dog based manga by the same mangaka as Ginga Nagareboshi Gin.
