I actually average 97 and 96% on Let there be Rock and Chop Suey with my Fender, so you are just used to the Les Paul. But the Les Paul cramps my fingers because the frets are too high. If you were playing a REAL guitar (like me) you'd understand that the frets need to be flat. If anything was raised on my neck( i have a Les Paul sunburst), I couldn't play shit.

Wow, I just played through this song in Rock band, and I didn't remember GH being this hard. I always thought GH always added unnecessary notes. Now RB takes the cake this time. Those extra notes threw me off majorly here (it's late at night and I can't see properly right now). Those notes weren't in the original song. Just listen. For those who say it's realistic in live....this isn't live. GH nailed the ending though with its sliding progressions.

Compairing those two I have to say that world tour is way better. The chart is more accurate to the guitar (RB for example have way to many notes during the verse)

Screw it I'm not gonna settle for either games. I just love these kinds of games, that's why I have both the GH and RB series, and I love them the same. Still I rather use the GHWT instruments than the RB2 ones. Both are good games, so you'd better have both of the games if you're gonna talk smack about the other.

World Tour and Rock Band 2 are both fine games, but you'd have to be a massive fanboy to not see how much more polished Rock Band 2 is. World Tour is, more or less, on par with Rock Band 1, which had a whole slew of design flaws. World Tour is better in some respects yet worse in others.
This is retarded, first off there are 345 DLC songs not 500 dont overrate it.
Second of all nobody buys all those songs without sponsership orsomething like that. if you want all the FAST fun songs its like 30 songs total, and depending on your taste you can chose which you want to buy for rockband.
Maybe in RB they move more realisticly, but most of time they repeat same moves all over again and some of those moves are just plain retarded. But I like both games.
A lot of people are complaining because they charted the palm mute on rock band, but that's more realistic because on real guitar you strum continuously on that pattern.
i like em' both but it is true about the guitar hero timing window being bigger. I had just beaten rock band 1s career on expert then i played gh3 for the first time and fc'd the metal on my sightread, which is harder than most of the stuff on rb1
Well, that part is done with the touch/slide pad on GH, because on real guitar that is a slide from the 10th fret to the 22nd, so GH's is a little more realistic there. Also, RB's is overcharted on the main rhythm because he's using a syncopated strum instead of a steady strum, so he's skipping strums essentially for all non-guitar players. That being said, I have both games and love them both, I'm not a RB hater.
Well I'm wrong for that then, but It can't be denied there is a havy overuse in chords in many ghwt songs, and look at the drum chart comparison videos, like dammit and ghwt missedmany symbol hits (although ghwt changing to 4 drums may have something to do with it, I don't know)

Also the only reason that guitar hero players can play the overcharted messes is that the timing window that Neversoft puts in their game is ridiculously big. Rock Band requires you to be more precise when playing while GH gives a lot of leeway. I've seen many GH "expert" players struggle in Rock Band because they actually have to hit the notes exactly when the note is played and not whenever they feel like. Like their used to in guitar hero.
Guitar Hero has NEVER had better guitar or bass than Rock Band. Rock Bnad charts have always been mor realistic and not ridiculously overcharted like Neversoft likes to do.

Ya I played all Guitar Heroes beat them all on Expert and enjoy RB much more. The only songs I cant beat are the songs that are a lot harder than they actually are like a couple of the dragon force songs. Also basically all good guitarists in RB came from GH. RB songs are much more enjoyable to play and I would like to see some GH players come to RB and try to play the opening to Devil's Island or Caprici Di Diablo.
And GH likes to chart pickslides and slides as well, going down the fret board. RB just makes it a sustained note. I like RB's way better here because the tone change is not huge, but it's just my opinion.

...You can HEAR the part being played that Rock Band charts. It's just very quiet on the master. Neversoft themselves have admitted the part is there, they just chose not to mess with the sound mixing, so they didn't chart it.
@fhq000 personally i support neversoft's decision, it's just annoying to try and hit a part that you can barely hear. People don't get that it's not about getting it 100% realistic, it's about fun! Though GH pushed it with the way they charted Medicate in 5, i mean in the opening riff, theres a 3 note hammeron that i guess charts the silence in between notes...

They're playing to different guitar parts.
The RB matches more towards the bassisty part+ guitar, which sometimes does happen when you're playing solo in some of those games.

if you comment about the graphics in GH:WT,
they're supposed to be Cartoonic. RB2
uses the same moves alot in each song, but
just recorded the mouths although the graphics are great.
Remember, GH = GHTUNES you DONT HAVE TO BUY RB2's DLC 20 free DLC, but you have to buy the "500" dlc which is like 1000 dollars ?

A lot of people are complaining because they charted the palm mute on rock band, but that's more realistic because on real guitar you strum continuously on that pattern.

i like em' both but it is true about the guitar hero timing window being bigger. I had just beaten rock band 1s career on expert then i played gh3 for the first time and fc'd the metal on my sightread, which is harder than most of the stuff on rb1

Well, that part is done with the touch/slide pad on GH, because on real guitar that is a slide from the 10th fret to the 22nd, so GH's is a little more realistic there. Also, RB's is overcharted on the main rhythm because he's using a syncopated strum instead of a steady strum, so he's skipping strums essentially for all non-guitar players. That being said, I have both games and love them both, I'm not a RB hater.

Well I'm wrong for that then, but It can't be denied there is a havy overuse in chords in many ghwt songs, and look at the drum chart comparison videos, like dammit and ghwt missedmany symbol hits (although ghwt changing to 4 drums may have something to do with it, I don't know)

ghwt's kit is nicer looking but dont let it fool u its a piece of sh*t ive had two sets and both have had horrible problems do not buy the instruments for ghwt get rock band 2 instruments and ghwt game i hate rock band but either get rock band 2 instruments or wait till guitar hero gets rid of the bugs.

Also the only reason that guitar hero players can play the overcharted messes is that the timing window that Neversoft puts in their game is ridiculously big. Rock Band requires you to be more precise when playing while GH gives a lot of leeway. I've seen many GH "expert" players struggle in Rock Band because they actually have to hit the notes exactly when the note is played and not whenever they feel like. Like their used to in guitar hero.

Ya I played all Guitar Heroes beat them all on Expert and enjoy RB much more. The only songs I cant beat are the songs that are a lot harder than they actually are like a couple of the dragon force songs. Also basically all good guitarists in RB came from GH. RB songs are much more enjoyable to play and I would like to see some GH players come to RB and try to play the opening to Devil's Island or Caprici Di Diablo.

Rock Band charted the palm mutes.
And GH likes to chart pickslides and slides as well, going down the fret board. RB just makes it a sustained note. I like RB's way better here because the tone change is not huge, but it's just my opinion.

...You can HEAR the part being played that Rock Band charts. It's just very quiet on the master. Neversoft themselves have admitted the part is there, they just chose not to mess with the sound mixing, so they didn't chart it.

@fhq000 personally i support neversoft's decision, it's just annoying to try and hit a part that you can barely hear. People don't get that it's not about getting it 100% realistic, it's about fun! Though GH pushed it with the way they charted Medicate in 5, i mean in the opening riff, theres a 3 note hammeron that i guess charts the silence in between notes...
