  • @gietek thanks for clearing that up for me buddy!

  • @Apex820 LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG, the original King Diamond.

  • I could've sworn I saw Sebastian Cabot on bass or wasn't the LSD?

  • @gietek Ok! I thought it was mentioned on an ELP documentary. It briefly covered the "musical beginings" of each member. I think it mentioned that Lake started with the Faces.

    Maybe I got confused!

  • @crazybxdon1 Palmer played with them from 1969. This was 1968 and Drachen Theaker on the drums.

  • Anyone Smell Burning Hair?

  • Carl Palmer(from ELP) on drums right?

  • @crazybxdon1 no

  • Vincent Crane was the prototype for Jonny Greenwood! Watch Jonny play keys and you'll see what I mean. I love Arthur Brown! Ahead of his time!

  • U mentioning this as metal ???? (o.O) (got to know abt this band when I was searching "heavy metal music" in Wikipedia

  • @multiinnocentguy this fucker invented metal

  • why have i never heard about this guy before??

  • the original dr. doom

  • who is the painting by, behind his head?

  • If this isn't King Diamond's dad, I don't know who is!

  • @kpaxfaq He's the Reverend Marilyn Manson's grandfather.

  • the guy at 1:34 nonchalantly walking past arthur brown!

  • the drummer is fucking hot

  • look at the girl at 1:16 she's really checkin him and the keyboard player out!!! and he's going nuts wearing a mask

  • Crazy meant 'incredible' in hippy language.

  • is it playback ??If you notice the drummer,he doesn't play at all...

  • This guy was crazy before being crazy was cool. XD

  • The folks at 1:23 are really regretting, not turning up to this party in their costumes.

  • I'd like to know who the fuck is in the 10 'dislikes' and personally bop em' in the fizog!!

  • Learnt about this guy through Blackie Lawless and Alice Cooper.Alice selected this song while programing AUSTRALIA's RAGE.:)

  • The organ player in Arthur's band back during this time is the best. He plays the most groovin piece of organ music I've ever heard from that era!

  • @jrmetmoi it's Vincent Crane

  • Pepople reacting to this=MAGIC!

  • Cool, man. Gotta love those late 1960's hipster flicks.

  • @loaisthe11 Hipster?! Hippy!

  • press 1 for auto hump, 2 for oh oh oh,3 for twat, 4 for sezure,7 for AAAHHHHHHH,8 for ouch, and 9 for raise the roof

  • "You took too much man, too much, too much" 1:35-1:38

  • take the hot poker outta his ass and you got nothing

  • Thats the heroes of our heroes...

  • 1:42 Talking Heads/David Byrne - Once In A Lifetime

  • The drummer and keyboard player look good.

  • idiot indeed.....go smoke some instant stupid.

  • he is kinda in acid :D

  • @pyromanician I'd bet the whole band is on something. So is the guy who walks by at 1:35 lol.

  • I love the way he moves.

  • @noodlesmealey I'll take that as sarcasm. If not, you're a fucking idiot.

  • @noodlesmealey Haha. Its fun some times when people are to dum to see or hear something that is new or just difrent, so thay just shut their eyes and hold their ears and scream stuff like "uh uh hippies! uh paganism!" like some kind of low inteligent rain man. Thank you, you made my daye =)

  • His hat kinda looks like that awful thing that chuck wore at the royal wedding.

  • Victor Peraino? Maybe?

  • Who is playing the keys?

  • @micdailing I think it's Vincent Crane from the great "Atomic Rooster".

  • @micdailing Vincent Crane

  • Hey drummer, I know this is lip synching, but get a little mor lively would ya?

  • @efrem1 I'm sure if you had what he looks like he's had,you wouldn't be doing a Moony around the kit!ha! He looks out of it.

    Regards.

  • 01:51 Looks like someone hates the A tone. :D :D

  • Arthur looks like the lovechild of MF Doom and Tom Green in this vid lol

  • Nice psych r'n b..

  • Kids love rappers nowadays cause they think these rappers are hard -

can you imagine them seeing Arthur at this gig - they'd SHIT themselves!

  • Can someone please be kind and tell me why Rebecca Black's "Friday" is in the related videos bar? That's seriously the worst insult i've ever seen in my thirty-two year old life.

  • The drummer is asleep

  • Fuck me. Why did I have to be born in '96?

  • Brilliant - it's rocking along nicely - then at 2.02 it gets even better - he goes all Rob Halford on us!

  • I get the feeling Arthur Brown is the only sane person in this world, the rest of us have only been kidding ourselves.

  • The mask of the red death - Art performs and sounds a bit like Ian Anderson of Jethro Toll with a little bit of Hendrix and falsetto from Mic Jagger. And the band sounds like the Spencer Davis band gone a little mad.

  • You kids won't believe it, but this is how we partied back in the day on non-school nights..

  • @sburns54 aaaawww.... so sad and dull nowadays...

  • @sburns54 Well, bring us those nights back, please. We would really appreciate it.

  • @sburns54

yall had to be high as hell constantly back than

  • @sburns54 cool

  • @sburns54 Trust me parties haven't gone anywhere. :)

  • man, this is probably the best fuckin thing i have ever seen in my life!

  • this is unbelievable

  • Oh Arthur you so crazy. I love you.

  • Man. This is Severe!

  • No - Most definitely not Carl Palmer on drums, although it's the yaer he joined the band.

  • Carl palmer on drums???

  • damn i was expecting the Beatles make a cameo in this flick as well.

  • I know this dude.

  • esta wea es del 68, sapos qls ignorantes

asi los mongolicos qls de porlaputa aprenden algo de música

    enfermos qls

  • What a great video!! And you have to dig the drummer smoking a ciggie...This looks like an awesome film.. J Gliddon you have raised the bar for the STAN action!!

  • Pretty obviously lip-synched, aside from all other comments. Very typical for the era; the drummer is barely touching the skins at some points.

  • porlaputa

  • @Monoxx90CL dos palabras aweo nao

  • @elvisONEtek tres palabras aweo nao marikon

  • Really should have put Palmer on drums.

  • I hope he didn't burn himself with his "Fire" Helmet...

  • @ThePsychopatrick He actually did burn his scalp several times with a previously improvised version of the helmet and he did mention that the screw dug into his scalp.

  • This is possibly the best thing i have seen on youtube.

  • They were an amazing team Arthur Brown and Vincent Crane. Just listen to the haunting opening chords Crane is playing to prepare us for the master Mr Brown. Loved it then ,love it now.

    Always

    Sean Burke.

  • @OPENSOREUK It's too bad that Vincent's depression got the best of him. Had it not been for depression, I imagine he would been a bigger star then he was. Because of how fast and skillful he was with the organ, I have considered Vincent Crane the unsung Godfather of Speed Metal.

  • anyone know where i can watch this movie?

  • Arthur Brown's first (and last) Bar-Mitzvah gig.

  • .... that high

  • Lol at 1:35 the guy walking in front of the stage looks fried and confused.

  • MF DOOM's white older brother.

  • Too bad he didn't catch onto the velvet curtain by the door.

  • He's sort of pre-Dutty Wining at 1:45

  • 1:18 priceless WTF expression on the right!

  • I was probably watching this on a black and white tv as a child ebing about 6 at the time. I somehow feel a connection lol

  • I.....have NEVER been that stoned....Gawd....

  • @9notes22frets Try a couple hits of acid and you will be.

  • primera!!!!!

  • I bought this album when it came out , some great memories of the time , but brown is still nothing but an oversized NOB,

  • I think he's a Raider fan.

  • Vaya voz Arthur Brown! Que grande, me encanta el video!

El bateria que parece que se duerme... En el 1:17 la chica rubia que parece estar cachonda... Maravilloso^^

  • 1:41

  • LOL @ the drummer

  • Way ahead of it's time and way awesome.

  • It is extraordinary!!

  • Excellent performance and after more than 40 (!) years a girlish look (1:18) that is even hotter than Arthur Brown's hat and would make Antarctica melt. Oh, wait...

And wow- he has got the moves!

  • This video is lame. But love the music.

  • so thats where Jack Black gets his moves xD

  • @MrStonefree76 ...LOL!!!:>

  • so thats where Jack Black gets his moves xD

  • The vocals are so pre-King Diamond. I love it.

  • @Emannikcufesin

Exactly. Arthur Brown is the King Diamond of the 60's

  • @Emannikcufesin I was wondering if this is where King Diamond got some of his musical inspiration and the idea for his face paint. What do you think?

  • @Emannikcufesin Indeed. This guy is the bomb.

  • @Emannikcufesin I never thought of it, but yeah I can see that.

  • @Emannikcufesin good thing his music dosen't suck then

  • Love that mind mannered Arthur I do

  • Would Anyone happen to know where this was?

  • Lol ,at 0:37 the fire dies ,pity .

  • You gotta be shitten me? ...I can sing like that! ....This is definitely not The Doors.

  • this guy inspired alice cooper!!!!

  • O my F***.....

  • shit is awesome

  • Is this the original shock-rocker?

  • It's time to take a hit of that joint and have some FUN!!!

  • i WANT his outfit its sweet

  • Great clip, and very interesting. Arthur Brown truly made an effort to put the spectacle into his performance. In Richie Unterberger's book "Urban Spacemen and Wayfaring Strangers" Brown explains how he would wear many layers of costumes on top of each other, so he could gradually change appearance as the show progressed. With each song there would be a new mood, lights, costume, and Brown would change his character and movements. Must have been an experience seeing those shows!

  • He IS part of my 'nightmare'!!!!

  • Just don't call him 'friend' or you'll be in BIG 'Trouble'!!!!

  • Indeed Black Sabbath meets the Doors. The first corpsepaint dude in the whole world

  • who's drumming? Is it Carl Palmer or Theacher?

  • Jesus loves the Acid

  • amazing..

  • Sweet! :D Yea, He's wicked stuff maAn! Chechout early Atomic Rooster too! :D

  • This guy is an amazing talent. His latest CD "the amazing world of arthur brown" is too good for words - just buy it and you'll see. Arthur is a true true great

  • @280553vs Still???

  • Awesome!!

  • this is like the doors crossed with black sabbath, except he probably pre-dates them both!

  • yeah get down

  • I'm having a serious WHAT THE F#$^% moment LMAO

  • hahaha, the drummer looks like he's about to nod-out :S

  • This guy is a nut job! He rocks! What is the picture in the back? What would Simon Cowell say?

  • @pictureisup1 What would Arthur Brown say about Simon Cowell !!

  • Brill

  • I met this guy today! He is the nicest man, was at glasto this year apparently so still about making music.

  • Carajo carajoo carajooo. Es increíble este video.

  • Yeaah! Psychedelic Rock!!!!!!

  • Ted Nugent would shoot specialized arrows at Arthur only to have them deftly dodged by the crazy world himself who would them consume them both in hellfire.

  • @Fontknow well said :D
