My dad worked for & retired from a very successful company that manufactures paint. Over the years that company gobbled up other, less successful companies that manufactured paint; but I bet they they were successful enough to be considered a threat. Eventually, the company incorporated companies who manufactured components of the paint making process & even the small shops where the products were sold.

I love Kucinich, but his econimic policies are foolish. Those jobs will be propped up at the expence of other jobs that are more productive. The government has not savings to draw on. Now, it can only transfer from one person to another. Even if it comes from the rich it will still mean less money to be invested in a better place. Well run banks and companies need money to survive. Everyone is in trouble.
