  • how to get this mother fuck some bary help me

  • Epic fart noise at 01:38

  • Is there a way I can make a song without a virtual drum kit? Because I really do not have any money to buy anymore virtual programs

  • @IaintheLoner97 You don't need to buy anything. Sonar 8 comes with MIDI drums. :)

  • @theorthianguy Thanks a lot :D

  • God dammit, why can't I find a single tutorial where someone speaks at an audible volume?

  • tang na panu pag gamit nyan?

  • WTF I dont BFD in my list !!

  • How do you get BFD 2 installed on sonar 8 ? im newby so i need help

  • isit compulsary to plug in to get a music?

  • please do a tutorial using a guitar or other REAL instruments because I really want to learn how to use sonar for recording a band. pleeeeease. tnx

  • This guys knows what he is doing for himself, but NOTHING he explains or shows is BREAKING DOWN THE BASIC OPERATION OF SONAR. He is showing a "How to build and layer a song.' Keep in mind that regardless whether one is using Sonar, or Tape, or arranging a live show, with live musicians, and NO recording, one will still layer and arrange.

Now, Will someone tell me how to use the program itself? Not a personal creative approach, but the NUTS & BOLTS, HOW TO RECORD & EDIT.

  • @JoeyJoelBand There's a manual for that mate. Cakewalk's channel should get you started otherwise. Unless you meant 'ADVANCED' nuts and bolts'

  • @MrJackanthony Let me explain, lol. I had a MAC work station.& was in middle of a commissioned project. Through a serious mishap, the MAC went down. I had to borrow a PC, with Sonar on it, but still had a delivery deadline. I opened Sonar, and as awesome as it is, I did not know the program, and had to just jump in. That is what motivated my statement. MAC guy, no experience on a PC, New Music program, no manual, no time, an important project with a deadline. But I made it. Sonar is AWESOME!

  • @Chihand Oh You're worthy of my apology then :) Yes She is :D I remember struggling to move across the timeline in midi for days. Clarification- (for absolutely no reason) I meant the help file that is installed with sonar (No mater how hard you try to stop it from doing so :P) Cheers

  • To get that great sound of drums I must buy Bfd2 drums? It works with all sound cards with midi or all the midi software?

  • hey can you tell me why i cant hear anything on my sonar ? it shows what ive played with my keyboard but there is no sound , please help

  • thats kind of you even to consider it, it definately helped me I just made a two bar loop and it doesnt sound too bad considering i couldnt replicate as you have expensive plug ins.

  • @peterandaluz I will make a vid using only what comes with Sonar, in terms of plugins and stuff... Although other then BFD all the rest comes with Sonar...

  • I would like to say thanks to all of you for the support... I'm glad it's help you all to get started with Sonar.. :)

  • is it possible to encode a tutorial @1280 x 720?you have a great manner to teach this but its just too small the video.

  • @peterandaluz I will do another at a higher res.....

  • i had to split up different parts of a song and when i save it each different sections save as different files

    help

  • i wonder if you can split the drum parts since uve recorded them all together ?

  • would you say that BFD2 is better than session drummer?

  • @edbdavis4 Yes hands down.. But you have to work it like a real drum kit. But I do use session drummer 3 and get very good results.

  • @edbdavis4 one is not better than another. just different. steven slate drums on session drummer 3 has the best john bonham kits I have ever heard.

  • how do you get that site

  • Why cant I hear anything when I'm trying to preview the loop-sounds? :..

  • Next time show where to click,,where are the things,,,these video is almost completely useless

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for this. some cool tips!

  • you sound like Jay from Bullet for my valentine!

  • cool video, but your meters are all in the red ,not good...

  • I just had to post this lol you sound exactly like the guy in this video "/watch?v=Q1TTxj2q6eE"

  • you sound exactly like that guy from the peep show... umm.. the racist guy who got fired because of mark xD anyway great tutorial I've only recently got into sonar and this is exactly what I've been looking for.

  • Is there any way to get some text there, without singin ?"D

  • Tw questions for you...

    is a midi controller necessary?

and... I noticed that you have a lot of soft synths. How many of those come with the program?

  • i just got 8.5,and watched this vid. yours is kinda blurry and ur moving too fast to actually see what your doing. your skipping over things you feel are not necessary, but i would like to see exactly what your doing,as not to be making stupid mistakes. i can tell your good, but i'm not and could really use the help,(not to diminish your capabilities),of "DustyPuppy"s channel, who shows, and tells everything he is doing, making him a GREAT!!! teacher, but thanx anyway, later

  • omg!!!!!! i totally love boys with British accent :D

i think its so hot !!

  • Got sonar bout 3 months ago and keep coming back to this. Top man. Cheers

  • This program isn't cheap. xD

  • Shit man! That brit accent is annoying! Ruins the video! But, besides it is very good. Thank you, and sorry for the comment. One last question: at 1:38 you farted? lol

  • can you just record sound files and put them together with this?

  • can you assign different keys to each drum. or how did you make the drums make noise

  • lol whats up with the mouth farts and bird calls

  • Thank for putting thi up, im a noob and you have saved me load of reading!! Big up

  • cubase is so much better

  • @djbuchard why?

  • can some one tell me how to crack sonar 8 plzz i need help plzz

  • wow your mumbling and British accent pretty much makes this video useless. thanks.

  • @Onuund No! Thank you!....lol

  • @best00000007 haha! I can understand everything perfectly! XD Learned the accent when i was a kid though... so maybe that's why.

  • @best00000007 BRITSH ARE AWESOME

  • @best00000007 Perhaps Qnuund would like you to learn how to do a Chinese accent or perhaps Russian - what a stupid comment. Great tutorial m8 thanks for taking the time. Very clear and detailed.

  • @Onuund What a fuckin asshole you are!!!!!

Where's your video so I can return the favor.....

  • lmao 1:39

  • can u record line in??? with like live instruments??

  • @best00000007 you can, but sometimes there are latencies if too many effects are engaged. check the audio setting and adjust latency to fast if there is a problem and always remember to unclick the annoying metronome

  • @SpaceInvaders010 stupid question consumer!

  • @hdfhcgh stupid response nerd!

  • does it take a long time to load

  • @tausamoa NOPE!

  • @best00000007 You can record karaoke tracks on Sonar 8, right?

  • where can i download load this?

  • he recommends bfd2 (which I have) but i recommend Steven Slate drums... a lot realer sound, and as a midi drummer thats what i'm looking for so ya. look into it if u want.

  • Do you need a keyboard for this or is there some other way to make music for this.

  • okey dude, WHAT THE FUCK ?!

    what's this shit? it sucks !! ;O

  • how to use computer's keyboard for playing?

  • i new here and i dont get how do you record that sounds... can you play drums or guitar on pc keyboard? how??

  • what was that at 1.39? a fart!!??

  • @bjarnyg LOL... Yes! but by my mouth. not my bum.

  • Where'd you get that Soft Synth?

  • So do you have a keyboard hooked up to midi input of an Asio soundcard or are you playing bits with your computer keyboard? I'm so frustrated with this stuff, I can't even get a drum sound to come out let alone knock out beats. Also, can any keyboard with midi outs work or do I need to shell out for an expensive job?

  • I've got this program and you have to go to Harvard and get a Phd to be able to use it. I love it but its got a learning curve worse than a U-turn.

  • when u get to the soft synth i dont understand

  • how much is this soft ware?

  • I so do not get this... How did you put the drums in there? You were talking bout some output stuff and then le pouf it was there :s

  • Hello. I'm new to Sonar 8. Thank you for this vid. It's actually helped a lot! But i have two questions:

    1. How were you able to play the drums without pressing anything? Can I do that with a regular computer keyboard?

    2. If it's a midi keyboard, what model are you using? :)

    Thank you so much!

  • Whenever I do something (import audio. etc) it wont play back like it doesnt make sound!!!

  • I use Sonar 8 myself! How do you do the drums or keyboards in this?

  • great set of videos man...

  • Hi there, thanks for the videos.

Do you know how to use Sonar studio instruments in Sonar...?

  • I think it's the same as producer.

  • How do you get the instruments in? lol

  • @LouisJopling big BIG Hammer!

  • @best00000007 haha, so isit all on keyboard on the computer?

  • @LouisJopling If keyboard you mean piano keyboard then yes it is my friend!...

  • i was foloowing everything until u got to the list of all ur plugins... where did u get them all like the BFD one,,,

  • BFD is from FXpansion. The others are included in Sonar 8 producer. Hope this Helped.. Bye for now.

  • hey is this sonar 8 producer or studio? do you know if studio works for windows vista 64 bit?

  • @EivanRM

Yea man works fine, I use Producer 7 on Vista 64bit. Works fine.

    Hope that helps

  • k thanks man :] can you burn your music on cds with producer 7?

  • @EivanRM

Yeah dude, when you're in Sonar just go to "Tools" and then "Burn Audio CD" I haven't used this feature myself though, I just export to MP3 and burn them to a CD with Windows.

    Cheers bro

  • @best00000007 do i must have a midi keyboardor can i play with the ``pc´´ keyboard

  • hi... i was following everything until the part where u got into ur whole list of plugins and selected DFD... would u plz be able to tell me how u got them?? thank u

  • yo go go go go go go

  • Hi great video, I am a very new beginner. However I am still having trouble with recording. Under options I dont seem to have any midi inputs loaded. I want to use the one supplied with Cakewalk TTS-1. I can get the synth up and the metronone running like you and have armed and set recording but no recording takes place? Must be something simple any clues or guide.

    Cheers Paul

  • First! Are you using a MIDI Keyboard? If so you need to make sure it is selected in the "Choose Midi Device". Select it in the "Input of the softsynth track of the TTS". Then you should be able to play it..... Let me know if that helped you. Bye for now..

  • the software isn't letting me download it it says "This software cannot be used with any prograhm higher than Windows Vista" even though I'm using windows vista

  • Wow. You're awesome, man. You know how hard it is to find good Sonar tutorials? Thanks a bunch, bro.

  • OMG!! DUde Thank you sooo much for making this vids help me tons...Ur tha Man...now back to the destruction!!!!!

  • Why didn't this video have any comment. I love tutorial like this when things are done from the start. Appreciated the lessons. Wish you success in your production path.
