I have played this song a thousand times since my dad fell on Dec 24th and died on Jan. 7, 2012. He is my hero. A naval aviator through WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. His greatest mission was caring for my mom who has Alzheimers until he fell and departed this world. I love hm sooooo much. Don't think I will ever be the same. He was a great man. I miss you and love you, Dad!

I lost my brother March 29, 2011 due to a car accident which he flipped his truck and was slung out of it. Not only did me and my sisters lost our brother but his daughter lost her father at 2 years old. shes now 3. He served in the army and went overseas twiced for our country. i lost my friend skyler on october 28th 2011 at 9:23 pm he and my friend micheal got hit by a car on holloween night. micheal live but skyler slipped into a comma and held on for about teo days until he was taken off life support and died leaving with no last words no goodbyes no i love yous nothing. hes gone i miss you so much skyler i cry everyday for you :/

I miss my great-grandmother so much. Every year on my birthday I used to say, "Will grandma live to see me turn this age?" Everytime I got the answer no, and I just didn't believe it. I proved them wrong every year until my 12th birthday. I never went to see her, even though she lived right down the street. And if I could do it all again, I would. I still have her seashell she gave me and she told me when she passed away to keep it near my heart. And that's where it will stay.

MISS MY DAD SO MUCH!HE PASSED DECEMBER 3, 2006 after falling ill on Thanksgiving. He went to Hospice the next day!He told my mom Saturday he wanted to go home,they brought him home at 3PM,he passed that Sunday about 10AM in his bed with all of us. I was holding his hand,before he took his last breathe he squeezed my hand like it was him saying He has got to go now,but everything will be fine.Since then our whole family has fallen apart! :( He was my bestfriend and he was the rock!HE WAS MY HERO!

My step-dad passed away last month (11/8/11) due to a drunk driving accident. Him and his friend were drinking and his friend decided to drive home and hit a tree.His friend is now up for vehicular manslaughter. My mom was with him for 6 years and he was more of a dad then I ever had. The last thing I ever told to my step-dad was about this amazing guy I am now dating and I got his approval from my step-dad. I've been to 9 family funerals and 3 friends funerals since last year. It's not fair, They got to end their suffering but how do we end ours? I don't know what I'd do if I lost one more best friend or family member. 2 of my friends were driving under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. The last funeral I went to was my aunt, she was short on breath but the ambulance never showed so she drove herself to the hospital. She got inside but as soon as they put her on the machine it was too late.
Instead of painting the countries landscape, now she can paint the world and everything more. God bless them, and all of you. Time heal every wound, but the scars still remain. My thoughts and prayers are will all of you along with myself.

@MultiZachary8 Its his funeral on Thursday. I didn't know him well, but i heard he loved life until this, but he had some anger issues because of his autism and that was what the girls targeted. It breaks my heart that Michael never knew about how many people cared for him. The whole school came together and prayed for him and it was just saddening that he thought he was all alone. We'll never forget him.

On January 14th, 2011, My 4 year old brother died of sickness. When he was 1 year old he was diagnosed with cancer. We were all terrified but the doctors told us we were gonna be fine. After taking him to the hospital on January 10th, 2011 the doctors knew he wouldnt survive. He was special too all of my family and friends. He will always be in my heart. Like if you believe he is safe in heaven!

I am 15 years old, my boyfriend was/is 16. I liked him for 4 years and he finally asked me out on May 21, 2011. I volunteer with no kill shelters and we try to get there when we get the call of animal cruelty, R.I.P. Lola's 6 littermates. Lola and her littermates were pitbull/boxer mixes and Lola was thrown from a car window and landed on a lady's driveway she was saved from the fate that her siblings had. Her littermates were burned alive.

12 funerals between November, 2010 - Today August 11, 2011. and one more waiting and possibly 2 more people dying... how could anyone handle this? I'm going crazy and giving up.
This reminds me so much of my bestfriend Marta. She pasted away on the 18th january 2007 after a brave fight against Leukemia. we will never, ever forget her. Heaven was needing her.. 1995-2007

I have played this song a thousand times since my dad fell on Dec 24th and died on Jan. 7, 2012. He is my hero. A naval aviator through WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. His greatest mission was caring for my mom who has Alzheimers until he fell and departed this world. I love hm sooooo much. Don't think I will ever be the same. He was a great man. I lost a good friend of mine Sunday 12.02.12 in a car accident. He was on a school trip to Kenya in Africa. He was supposed to travel down to help people with some other students from his class. He was only 18 years old, he was taken away far to early! He was such a good guy, never a negative thing came from him. He always was so positive. I can't believe that he is dead. I lost my brother March 29, 2011 due to a car accident which he flipped his truck and was slung out of it. Not only did me and my sisters lost our brother but his daughter lost her father at 2 years old. shes now 3. He served in the army and went overseas twiced for our country. I miss my great-grandmother so much. Every year on my birthday I used to say, "Will grandma live to see me turn this age?" Everytime I got the answer no, and I just didn't believe it. I proved them wrong every year until my 12th birthday. I never went to see her, even though she lived right down the street. And if I could do it all again, I would. I still have her seashell she gave me and she told me when she passed away to keep it near my heart. And that's where it will stay.

MISS MY DAD SO MUCH!HE PASSED DECEMBER 3, 2006 after falling ill on Thanksgiving. He went to Hospice the next day!He told my mom Saturday he wanted to go home,they brought him home at 3PM,he passed that Sunday about 10AM in his bed with all of us. I was holding his hand,before he took his last breathe he squeezed my hand like it was him saying He has got to go now,but everything will be fine.Since then our whole family has fallen apart! :( He was my bestfriend and he was the rock!HE WAS MY HERO!

My step-dad passed away last month (11/8/11) due to a drunk driving accident. Him and his friend were drinking and his friend decided to drive home and hit a tree.His friend is now up for vehicular manslaughter. I've been to 9 family funerals and 3 friends funerals since last year. It's not fair, They got to end their suffering but how do we end ours? I don't know what I'd do if I lost one more best friend or family member. 2 of my friends were driving under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. The last funeral I went to was my aunt, she was short on breath but the ambulance never showed so she drove herself to the hospital. She got inside but as soon as they put her on the machine it was too late.

The guy have been dating since i was 10 dated august 18th2011, 4 days after my birthday(the 14th) , we spent the whole day on the 14th together and if i would have none that was the last time i would have seen him, i wouldn't have let him go....
he was drinking and driving and got in a very bad wreckkk. </3 we were together for 6 years. ):

A young boy who attended my school committed suicide yesterday because he was bullied as he had autism. @MultiZachary8 Its his funeral on Thursday. I didn't know him well, but i heard he loved life until this, but he had some anger issues because of his autism and that was what the girls targeted. It breaks my heart that Michael never knew about how many people cared for him. The whole school came together and prayed for him and it was just saddening that he thought he was all alone. We'll never forget him.

On January 14th, 2011, My 4 year old brother died of sickness. When he was 1 year old he was diagnosed with cancer. We were all terrified but the doctors told us we were gonna be fine. After taking him to the hospital on January 10th, 2011 the doctors knew he wouldnt survive. He was special too all of my family and friends. He will always be in my heart. when i was 11 My Nana died she was my best friend inever got to say bye tell her i love her and i miss her so much sometimes i just need one of my nanas huges MY HERO and now im 17 this year has been one of the hardest My Granddad died of brain cancer and for 3 months i had to watch him die leaving the hospital not knowing if i would ever see him again an don the 1st of febuary he passed away a True Hero and My Brother lost his baby his girlfriend was 7 months pregnant R.I.P loev you all <3

I am 15 years old, my boyfriend was/is 16. I liked him for 4 years and he finally asked me out on May 21, 2011. We spent the entire summer together and we loved eachother soo much, no matter what anyone said. All the fights and rumors only made us stronger. On August 22, 2011 he died in a car crash just seconds after saying "i love you so much baby" to me on the phone. I always ask why him but i guess i will never know. I still love him so much and i always will and i miss him, & hes my hero:')

You can not fall in love in 3 months (very rarely people do) and mostly, you are way to young to even understand what love like that is, and please, dont talk shit to me because my fiancee overdosed on delaudid back in Feburary this year, and we dated for 10 years - THAT is true love, not adolescent puppy love

@chevroletman1991 Clearly they were friends for years so its very possible for her 2 love him. Love isnt something that we have 2 learn 2 do, its a natural & effortless emotion that you begin to experience early on in life. Im not trying to come off as rude and inconsiderate as you did but I just cant believe that you would make such a comment to a girl who has obviously lost someone very special. I wouldve thought that you wouldnt be so judgmental considering that you too have suffered a loss.

I disagree. I met mine when I was 17 and knew the minute I laid eyes on him he was the one. I am now in my 40's and feel the same today as that first time he came over and asked if the seat next to me was taken.

my aunt just died friday from lung and bone and pancreas cancer and we all thought she was getting better but she didn't and all my family is heartbroken and she died on her birthday.i didn't even get a chance to say goodbye.i miss and love her so much.

this song makes me cry everytime i hear it. A really good friend of mine died in Florida, he moved because of his dads job, and was attacked by a shark. this was about 5 years ago. im still devastated about it, but i knew he would be better than living in constant fear. :)

This makes me think of my friend who was shot. He was working, and some idiots at a party at the building over decided to be stupid & start shooting because they were kicked out of the party. When the gun shots were fired, my friend started letting people inside his job to keep them from gettin shot, & during this, he got shot, and lost in life. He is my hero. I'm only 20, and yet I've been to 6 funerals :( The 2 hardest deaths was my grandpa, he died when I was 6, looking me in my eyes.. and my grandma who died 25.05.11 after fighting cancer for 3 years.. Her death was the worst... she was my hero, my rock, my go to person, she was my everything <3 This song means the world to me, and without it I would not be here... I love you grandma <3 forever <3

When i think of If Heaven is needing a hero. I think of the animals that lose their lives to animal cruetly. I volunteer with no kill shelters and we try to get there when we get the call of animal cruelty, R.I.P. Lola's 6 littermates. Lola and her littermates were pitbull/boxer mixes and Lola was thrown from a car window and landed on a lady's driveway she was saved from the fate that her siblings had. Her littermates were burned alive.

When i hear this song, I think about all our He-roes and She-roes over seas and our fire fighters who risk their lives to save our homes. I do believe our soldiers deserve the highest amount of respect in the world, but so do our firefighters, with out them who'd keep our homes from turning to a pile of ash? Don't let your local fire department go under appreciated :) God bless our troops and our firefighters.
