Actually, the name of this ancient sport is called Varzesh-e Pahlevani. Which means exercise of heroes. The place where it is done at is named Zurkhaneh.
And its is REALLY NOT a dance, when Persian warriors prepeared for war they would warm-up with this sport. There is alot of philosophy behind the this, which makes it more then just a sport, its spiritual..

that is not dancing! it is a form of exercise to strengthen ur leg & arm muscles. It was used for Javelin throwing.
