  • Best work Shane did was against Angle at KOTR. Shane couldnt throw a good punch to save his life. But he worked OK. I do have to say they picked good spots for him to do. I feel he was a feel in for a push of a guy. Such as Test Blackman X pac Or Kane. Hell... the fall Vince took during that cage match made me respect what Lil Vince does. Shane and Vince are spot monkeys and not wrestlers. Jim cornette took on bad fall off a scafold and now he feels hes good. LOL

  • Hey cornotte Shane took more bumps than you ever did.

Just because Ray Trailer didn't catch you you think you are tough.

  • I agree on some of Jim's points, but for all the crazy bumbs he took, Shane Mcmahon gets my respect no matter what

  • "Whole things so stupid it makes me wanna shit!"

    LOL.

  • Shane Mcmahon is definitely one of the best wrestlers of all time.

  • Anyone else want to punch Jim Cornette?

  • FUCK THE WWE !! IT AINT SHIT AND IT'S NEVER GONNA BE SHIT...IF SHANE McMahon TAKES OVER THE COMPANY !!!

  • @Hyman2000 shane has absolutely nothing to do with the multi-billion dollar empire that is by faaaaaar the most successful professional wrestling company in history that you say, and i quote, "aint shit". shane has his own business thing in japan or thailand or some shit. HHH is running the wwe and will be until someone realizes that he's inept.

  • @rabidbunnies2 That egotistical asshole HHH and his bitch of a wife steph will run the business down to the ground, but then again it's all ready touching the ground becuase like I said it aint shit ! If shane don't want to run the company he is making a big mistake also HHH only married his boss's daughter because he is a kiss ass and want to take over the company !

  • shane mcmahon running WWE = success

stephanie and HHH running WWE = failure

stephanie ,HHH and shane running WWE = sub par mess like it is today .

  • What bullshit. I remember Shane vs. Angle at King of the Ring and Shane had the living shit beaten out of him and kept on coming back for more when plenty of the top performers of today be them in TNA, ROH, WWE or where ever would have said no way to the bumps Shane took in that match. I usually agree with Jim, but this is just bullshit and one more way for him to try to knock away at Vince.

Does he think Cena or Orton or The Rock would have taken those bumps?

Sorry Jim, you're full of shit.

  • What makes the business look ridiculous is a guy who has about 500 shoot interviews about a business that he claims to love but clearly hates. Cornette has basically ran down Hogan, Nash, Hall, Bret Hart, HBK, HHH, Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, Chyna, Goldberg, Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman, etc...is he wrong all of the time? No. But if you look at that list, there are a lot of successful people, many of which who have been more successful than Cornette.

  • Some of you try to defend Shane by saying he did risky moves lol. That doesnt mean he should be able to go out and beat top wrestlers or even compete with them in a close match. If the boss's son ( a non-wrestler who was so embarrassed of his own body he covered it completely up when he wrestled) can beat top wrestlers whenever he decides to get in the ring, then it makes the wrestlers look weak as hell. I agree with Cornette. It was ridiculous.

  • Cornette sounds even more whiny, bitter, and jaded than usual in this vid.

  • I DO miss Shane in WWE...in the good ol' days

  • A lot of people don't seem to get the point of this Interview. Jim is not shooting ON Shane. He shoots on how Shane was presented sometimes for being a McMahon. Shane is a legend IMO for what he did. The best non-wrestler to ever actually work a match. But I remember back in 2003 he was in a feud with Kane who was on his annual rampage. Kane basically squashed his former Partner RVD with little effort but then it was Shane that he had problems with? That was just ridiculous.

  • @Wurzelknecht Shane also wasn't in normal 1 on 1 pinfall/ submission matches with Kane. They wrestled in an ambulance match and a last man standing match. If your craftly enough, it doesn't matter how small you are, you can hang around with a much bigger guy in those types of matches and make them believable. It would've been really unbelievable if he had won those matches, but he didn't. Shane's character also had some motivation in that storyline to with Kane Tombstoning Linda McMahon.

  • @GaDawgs15818 no way, jim was right on. it ruins it when vince and shane wrestle. Wouldn't it be weird to see the owner of a sports team suiting up for his team and playing just as well as the pro athletes. shane did great bumps, no question. However, Shane wrestling always seemed to break "kayfabe". It ruined the illusion. It was just a bad storyline and came off as the boss' kid living out his dream.

  • @caseyface3 Thats your opinion. It isn't that weird for owners to play. Baseball managers and coaches wear uniforms because they used to play as well. If a manager wanted to make a sub, he could put himself in. Legendary Chicago Bears owner George Hallas also coached the Bears and there were times in the 40's when he put himself in the game. True it would look weird now, but WWE isn't structured like most sports. And how does it break a storyline for Shane to wrestle?

  • cornette is the fucking truth!!!

  • Shane McMahon was a great athlete and could have probably been a really good wrestler had he dedicated himself to it. However I agree with Cornette. Shane was the bosses son and was never going to be a full time wrestler, so he was getting a spot that a real wrestler could have had and he was going to have heat due to his name without needing a push.

I mean look at Vince; he had a great feud with Austin, but he didn't beat midcarders clean each week to build up to it. Being the boss was enough.

  • lol @ House is on

  • shane o'mac was awsome he took risks and everything. he was great

  • HHH is a loser

  • Shane is supposedly anti - McMahon when it comes to being a Hater of WWE

  • I thought Shane-O had some really good matches. At the same time, he shouldn't have been out there. The boss's son, and not really a wrestler...? Corny's right...it made the business look bad.

  • Shane is a LEGEND

  • hey jim ROH sucks ever since you goot in it.

  • @vivilakers I thought it always sucked. Every time I put there show on, I see two guys who look like they may break a combined 250 lbs. soaking wet, who know squat about psychology and storytelling.

  • HBK vs Shane was awesome especially when HBK superplexed him thru that table. Granted ALL HBK matches are awesome but it was still cool of Shane to take that superplex thru the table with him.

  • What's so wrong with a guy going out there and trying to be Superman? That's exactly what you want out of your talent, and I think it's even more awesome that Shane, being Vince McMahon's son, and having NO NEED to get in a ring in the first place, actually did it and put his body on the line so many times, again, with NO NEED to do so.

  • Is Lawler wrestling? Best response I've ever heard to whether or not you're watching Raw or not...

  • Of course Shane had to Superman to actually look like he'll be worth a crap when the match came. Cornette has this one wrong.

  • I agree with Cornette on a lot of things, but ripping on Shane... he is WAY off base.

  • Shane is one of my favorites. He is definitely my favorite McMahon. Steph is a whore who has no brains, Vince has Alzheimer's. He is a great hardcore wrestler and has had amazing matches. I agree with Jim on most things. But him on comedy in wrestling and this I don't.

  • Is Lawyler wrestling? #Epic.

  • Why the FUCK did you censor the bad language, you easily offended CUNT?!

  • corrnette sure seems to like house

  • I agree wholeheartly with Cornette here, Shane beating up Orton and Legacy was horrible and made me stop caring about them for a long time.

  • @Trencher1375 Lol what about all of shanes other great matches?

  • @Carnius797 He is made to look good by his fathers workers. I think there is a place for him as a jobber when he uses the cane but him beating up for instance Randy Orton I can not belive.

  • Jim was really wrong. Because he was different then any other McMahon he went out there as himself he didn't change Linda was the same way. Vince and Steph trys to act like assholes for the fans Shane doesn't change. Shane also did boxing when he was a kid. He can stay in the ring with the greats like Kurt,Mick Foley, Randy Orton, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, HHH. All of his matches was hardcore only 5% wasn't so Jim your wrong Shane Mcmahon was a great wrestler! And he new how to put a show

  • Who the f censored this?

  • shane o'mac was a class act even in the attitude era, he worked wiv the best an got them over as much as any over them did 4 him.. shane was the shit at the time.. but ne wer else in small arena's i can see jame.e's point.. but shane was gd enough 4 the ppv's it said alot abo some of the talent in WCW at the time LOL

  • I've been watching wrestling all my life, and I love to watch Shane fight, Did you see Kurt angle vs Shane? EPIC! also the guy takes so many high risk chances on the top rope! PLEASEE JIM! You couldn't do one dang elbow dropWORTH CRAP

  • I remember Shane actually losing and getting his ass beat down like crazy most of the time, but I wasn't around for most of his matches and only see a few off YT.

I think that Shane's hardcore antics make the guy he's facing look more badass and improves their image. Shane doesn't exactly work the mat, sure, but he knows what works and what doesn't and has enough balls to do stuff that make crowds go crazy.

  • "And House is on!" FTW!

  • The funny thing is Shane was pretty damn good in the ring and he had no quite remember KOR when Kurt went to german suplex him through the glass, and it didn't break the first time and he landed on his neck and he told kurt to do it again that shit was ballsy

  • @TheOriginalKingD I think it was an overhead belly to belly suplex. And Kurt did it about 3 times, each time Shane failed to break the glass, and fell down onto his neck. And each time he got up and told Kurt to try it again until Kurt finally gave up and threw him face first thru the glass. Whoever was responsible for setting up the glass must have gotten fired after that. Don't let it be said that Shane doesn't put it out there for the business. His matches were hardcore to make it believable.

  • Shane would go down well as a masked hard core character

  • Jim Cornette doesnt have a good word to say about anyone

  • @docko84 He says good things about Gregory House.

  • shane mcmahon was my favourite wrestler when i was a kid

  • shane mcmahon was my favourite wrestler when i was a kid

  • Shane was better then most of the roster.

  • @kryceksangel agreed he was a good worker for the crowd

  • I remember Shane from King of the Ring 99, and what he did in that handicap match against Austin was fuckin' amazing. I also remember him diving off of a high ladder or some kind of elevated position, that is what is needed every now and again, the GREAT risks, but not too much because it causes too much body damage and creates spoiled fans who want to see that ALL the time. Just look at most of those old ECW guys now, they beat the shit out of themselves so much, they are now unemployed !!

  • Lets not forget, KANE even jobbed to Shane and that is just too far beyond imagination's sake to be believable.

  • who attacks shane

  • love this guy.WWE blows

  • Comment removed

  • the only bad thing shane ever did is expect randy orton to sell for him.

    randy doesn't sell for anyone!!!

you want another example of this?

watch any match he had with jeff hardy.

Orton does not sell cause he's a bitch

  • @theraVen27 How is Randy supposed to sell punches that didn't come close to landing? I love Shane and he's had some memorable matches, but his 2009 return he did not look good.

  • @AmericanWolves13

none of the punches come close and nobody else has a problem selling them.

yeah shane wasn't the best but randy did nothing to help him..or anyone else ever for that matter

  • @theraVen27 None of the punches land full force but a lot look like they actually connect. But when Shane returned on Raw NONE of his punches even came close to landing. And Orton still sold like he got hit. He shouldn't have sold when they were so clearly not landing. Luckily Shane looked a whole lot better at their No way out match.

  • @AmericanWolves13

haha the only ones he reacted to where the ones that were way off and after shane stopped moving.

    the camera angles do wonders.....

  • @theraVen27 I do always get a kick out of Shane landing a 3 punch combo and Orton selling it like it's Mike Tyson's punchout then just falling limp to the mat.

  • @AmericanWolves13 SOME OF SHANES PUNCHES WERE STIFF, MAYBE THAT IS WHY HE TONED IT DOWN.

  • @theraVen27 Ive seen plenty of matches where Orton sells, including for Jeff Hardy.

  • @theraVen27 he sold for Foley.

  • @monokhem

    he better!

Foley made a career of making people look good! if you don't make an effort to make him look good in return you don't belong in the wwe.

  • @theraVen27 I thought maybe he did it because if you don't sell for Foley he'll give you something you have no choice but to sell.

  • @monokhem

haha that is true. lets hope he had a little bit of respect for the guy who made the attitude era stars look like stars!

  • @theraVen27 love cornettes comments because shane is a mcmahon, its all political b.s. thanks for your insight, i like the impartiality of cornette saying it would be like him hitting ronnie garvin. i remember kane vs. shane in survivor series 2003 ambulance match. as much as he loves the business like his dad, thats kfed wrestling nonsense.

  • @theraVen27 jeff hardy, john morrison, matt hardy, rey mysterio,

randy orton the viper wow punching the wrestling mat to do his rko, he rips on mark henry, at least mark henry is a gold medalist in weight lifting. randys brain cells are interfered with mary jane. because he blows so much smoke up his ass, randy acts like hes a bret hart, or a kurt angle, he rips on the rock, at least the rock is smart he left hollywood works less and makes more money.

  • @omhat

haha oh yes let me relive randy almost breaking his wrist punching the mat. what an awesome moment! what a moron! haha

Mark Henry has been as loyal and hard working of an employee as anyone could ever ask. he had sex with mae young that man deserves the title!!!

hey no reason to talk bad about mary jane just cause some users are morons

  • @theraVen27 its his life if he wants to do mary jane, its scott halls life if he wants to waste millions of dollars on coke and choose drugs over his family. mark henry miss the dark chocolate with mae young also henry was in the company over 15 years to get the hw belt, randy got in the business easy because of his father. rey, y2j, eddie and benoit paid their dues.

  • @omhat

i'm a big fan of the mark henry of today. he paid his dues and now his character has caught up as well.

it's a dying breed. punk & bryan have traveled the world and done the indy scene.

when hhh and taker talk about the end of an era they are talking about the guys who lived the "attitude era"

when chris jericho talks about the end of an era he is talking about those guys who cut their teeth in mexico japan indys and a life time passion. those guys arent around anymore.

  • @theraVen27 daniel bryan and albertro del rio are the last hopes to maintain the jericho, eddy guerrero mexico japan indys. del rio is like jericho he has charisma and talent, and is a marvelous heel. punk and christian jobbed for orton last year orton is a bitch.

shane mcmahon did a better effort than david arquette but him wrestling is like david in ready to rumble i call it investment suicide, its fairytale bullshit, whats next put shane mcmahon vs big show in a fist fight.

  • @omhat

i agree w/what ur saying but disagree with del rio. he is already on the tail end of his career. he has NEVER done anything to entertain me. i'm American i don't speak spanish and your 15min spanish promo just makes me change the channel. another nobody built up for cena to destroy..doesn't entertain me.

shane i do respect. he was fairytale and crap but the guy busted his ass and had soem really great matches with kane and angle. again that just goes back to the writers and ceo

  • @theraVen27 im ecuadorian/turkish and north american. im not trying to be biased, but del rio is cool, hes got the cool bentleys, rolls royce, arrogance to piss off fans and get under the skin of other wrestlers of course for entertainment purposes, hes a former mma fighter in japan, hes an architect. cena has great mic skills but dont tell me hes better than del rio. if scott hall did not do drugs hed be one of the best ever. orton is jealous of the rock, rock left at thebestmoment.

  • @omhat

i'm not bein racist but if 90% of your crowd doesn't understand what dude is saying why are you wasting our time?

his mma career was spent staring up at lights from his back.

wait wait don't bring cena into this that's another story

scott hall, fucked up and barely alive, is better than 60% of today's roster.

orton is just a shit bag of a person.

  • @theraVen27 yeah you are a rascist, no im kidding. i agree with you alberto del rio needs to beef up his english. if this was a latin wwe, then del rio would be their hbk or bret hart.

i did not have enough room to explain why the rock is the most sagacious person in wrestling, he left being on top, he left without letting wrestling consume him, shit hes done movies the rundown, walking tall, etc. workload less and makes more money, rock will make more at wm than randy will in ayear

  • @theraVen27 i was going to ask you a question do u think jack swagger is underappreciated, its sad that swagger got a big push, now hes pushed to the u.s. title and randy is a main eventer its all due to fucking creative team, to bullshit uncreative team. swagger has collegiate credentials, awesome mic skills, the look of a heel.

scott hall did a great interview coked out on rf better than scott steiner without coke and compared to other wrestlers.

  • @omhat

    i don't like swagger.

he is terrible on the mic and gasses doin ghis intro.

the guy was pushed so hard and it never clicked and now that he has the us title and is on superstars and squashes to kane it just makes the title look bad.

they have all but given up on swagger. i was excited to see a swagger/ziggler fued but that won't be happening too soon.

haha at least steiner was still entertaining with his jibberish. scott hall is one of the best crowd workers i have seen.

  • @theraVen27 i didnt say great mic skills, good mic skills, swagger is talented. who would u choose randy orton as a star or jack swagger true talent, i agree with the superstars thing. mark henry is a believable heel and can bench over 1000 pounds.

steiner is funny because of his antics, but steiner is incoherent saying you know and mumbles he uses his loud voice to offset the mumbling. steiner is a hater hbk had charisma and talent. i miss the kurt angle milk truck wwe segment.

  • @omhat

they are decent enough..the lisp and accent are just too much sometimes. and he sweats more than shaq, it's distracting.

..oh you bastard. i would rather see orton. i hate you for making me say that. but yes i would much rather see true athletes like swagger and ziggler vs orton or models.

mark henry is back to being the big squash..poor guy deserves better after what he did for smackdown.

steiner is...steiner no other way to call it. haha

    hbk is god!

    angle was hilarious!!!!!

  • @theraVen27 bret hart was my favorite hed make a diesel, a triple h look good or if not great. can u elaborate on scott steiner? i miss cenas thuganomics, if steiner was younger hed be great tagging up with cm punk being called the opinionators. austin was going to be scotts partner at wm19 vs. hall and nash.

sorry for making you say orton. the wwe is right now like krusty underwear or rusted nails. i only wait to see if daniel bryan and cm punk can maintain the spark to the flame.

  • @omhat

i've always felt bret was overratted offensivly but he sold like a champ!

ss-nobody knew what the heck he was saying but he believed it! i just can't watch him without rolling. the guy is hilarious to me. and supposedly a good guy backstage.

the steiner bros tag team is top 3 of all time!

it's sad that punk/bryan has been wasted on free tv the last three weeks. that should be a wm 60minute iron man match that will go down in history. not free tv

  • @theraVen27

i miss the nation of domination ahmed johnson rivalries. that ahmed and faarooq shit was craaazy, ahmed broke rons rib cage with his head htting the center of rons chest, that was retribution for the ruptured kidney. can you explain me the beef?

what do u think about the ted dibiase hunico rivalry? ted dibiase I respect y2j for where he was and how he got there. u are right about punk bryan

who are your favorite tag team wrestlers of all-time? I love legion of doom.

  • @omhat

i have been trying to find the story to that for a long time.

I think it started as two big men who were pretty stiff in the ring and it just kinda went from there. made for some great matches and an awesome fued tho.

i like ted, it's too bad they buried him when he was getting a reaction with legacy.

Hunico is great in the ring he just doesn't have anyone that can match his style..he wont go far.

LOD 4 life brotha! the rockers were great. steiners. hart's. sting/luger

  • @theraVen27

the super powers was pretty entertaining. kane/rvd and hurricane/kane made me laugh

    book-dust! that was tv gold

MCMG and Beer Money are the best teams of this generation.

i really liked the Awesome Truth team as well.

but my all time favorite will always be..

Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. those two together were what a tag team should be!

  • @theraVen27 what are your three favorite wrestling tag teams, scott steiner looked like mario lopez back in the day with the muscles and mullet.

chris jericho paid his dues, on the george lopez show he said he drove close to 300 miles to perform at a birthday party for kids he got paid a hot dog and orange juice thats paying ur dues.

do u agree with jim cornette on hbk finding god because everyone hates him. do u think hbk uses god as a crutch to treat people like shit.

  • @omhat

haha he did look like AC Slater. even worse when he had the studded belt around his singlet..oh that looked terrible.

if you haven't, read both of Jerichos books. great stories and behind the scenes stuff and very funny.

i think JC is one of the most bitter, foolish, knowlagable people in wrestling.

he has all the tools but he's too worried about burying everyone on a pod cast than he is with ROH.

idk why he did but he did "find god" and he seems to be liked better sense..?

  • @theraVen27

i'm going to start doing a show.

you send me questions and i will have my dream of talking about wrestling all day.

i know i can do better than the otrs clowns..

    haha

  • @theraVen27 your so cool saying ac slater, yup albert clifford, i loved tiffany amber thiessen, then elizabeth berkley became a cheap slut in show girls just another vh1 where are they now. that would have been funny if scott steiner was on a reality makeover show. i agree with daniel bryan vs cm punk that was entertaining. my favorite bret match was the hart foundation vs steiner brothers, who are your 3 fav tag teams?

i hope dibiase and hunico are in a no holds barred wm match.

  • @omhat

i loved that stupid show. Tiffany was my coming of age...

can you see scotty crying after extreme home make over haha?

    top 3

    LOD

    MCMG

    Benoit & Malenko

  • @theraVen27 who is mcmg, i thought u thought steiner brothers were in the top 3. two wrestlers that wwe used wrong along with matt and jeff hardy, are RVD and john morrison, bam bam bigelow rip i love that starship move. do u see justin gabriel as a main eventer in a couple of years, love that 450, if he can beef up his charisma like cody rhodes and let him talk hes my candidate.

if i ever meet scott steiner i will buy him a christmas story, ill tell him to say fuck instead of fudge

  • @omhat

Motor City Machine Guns-TNA try to find mcmg vs beer money best of 5 series. best tag wrestling i have seen for a long time.

if u put a gun to my head those are my top 3 but the steiners surely deserve some respect.

RVD finally started to get some freedom then he and sabu got arrested and that was the end of ECW and WWE champ RVD. sadly he was very missused. Jo Mo is one of my favorites of all time watched him from Tough Enuf on and hope to see him in tna soon.

  • @theraVen27

ol bam bam and vader..those guys are missed.

i could see gabrial as the new rey rey if they used him right. he has a pretty good reaction each week. he puts on good matches. i like the way he sells and i like his move set..but can he talk? he hasn't had much of a chance to talk. during Nexus i always thought he and wade were the stand out guys (post Dan Bryan firing of course)

Cody is superstar of the year imo his evolution has been really fun to watch.

    hahaha

  • @theraVen27 cody could never be face. the hardys had to job to give up their belt to triple h its a shame. i hope there is a fight for vickies love match, jack fights for her love with dolph, vickie gets hot when jack does those pushups a triangle of love match. like john cena kissed vickie last year i forgot what it was. do u remember ahmed johnson teaming wit lod vs faarooq and nod. what tv show were u saying that was stupid, was it saved by the bell or vh1.

  • @omhat

cody is far too good a heel to be face. but he does have an underdog look that might work for a face run.

at this point i don't even care about vickies faction anymore. they just dropped all of that. instead we will get team johnny ace...

i remember the one with shamrock lod and ahmad. great fued with legit tough guys working hard.

haha both vh1 and saved by the bell. i watch them and the whole time wonder why am i watching this crap...but same with wwe most days haha

  • @theraVen27 i agree with you on saved by the bell, if kelly wasnt hot, i wouldnt watch it, it was so stupid that they all worked in the same hotel on the beach. the john cena rock thing is overrated bullshit cena was gr8 when he was heel, but its just a charisma match, the wwe in this day and age is like a deteriorating cavity which is a reflection of the economy in the us. if lady gaga can wrestle and in more money than cm punk and the rest of the wwe vince will do it, thats fd.

  • @omhat

Stiner was much more interesting to watch before he becam big poppa pump

  • @MagicKirin look at the hart foundation vs steiner brothers, that was talent at its best and finest. its so funny steiner looked like mario lopez the muscles and mullet he also looked like bobby sixkiller from the show renegade.

  • Jimmy was prolly referring to Shane's stint with Randy Orton and his two subs Cody Rhodes and Ted jr. When Shane came back, it looked so horrible that i held my head in shame. So many missed jabs, overselling. that whole deal. When shane was wrestling way back when, i loved it cause lets face it. HE WAS NUTS! Falling off the tron at least twice, taking some crazy bumps through glass designs and announce tables. He earned the respect fans give him, but that Ortan thing didn't do him justice.

  • @terryts2 And we should point out, Shane never came back after the 'broken ankle'. He gave his notice 5 months later and he's better off. WWE isn't but he is.

  • Maybe it's all the whiners that made Shane leave the business.

  • what's with the bleeps?

  • Love Cornett. Brilliant guy. He should still be working at the highest levels, but I gotta say...he's wrong on this one. Shane-O earned some respect...the hard way. He got the hell beat out of him alot and earned his stripes. Falling from the Titan-Tron...getting suplexed through glass...great work. If the guys backstage respect Shane, and they do, the Cornett sure as hell should.

  • fuck cornette shane put his body on the line in more dangerous instances than most of the wrestlers

  • I usually agree with Jim, but I have to say that Shane has never once made me feel like what I was watching was ridiculous when he was fighting in the ring. The dude more hardcore than 95% of the roster with what he was willing to put his body through to make a great match or moment. And he was always charismatic on the mic. He has my respect as a wrestling fan. I never thought it was silly to see him win or beat someone up. He's not a little guy, either. It looks realistic.

  • @Tellthatruth good comment

  • @Tellthatruth Not when he was "beating up" three guys (bigger than him) at once.

  • Shane McMahon was incredible entertainment. Some of my favourite moments in wrestling include Shane.

  • "For F**K sake!" ~ Jim Cornette

  • I definitely agree with Jim, while Shane has done some cool high risk moves, let's face it - he ripped those off of ECW guys that did it long before he ever did. Plus stuff like him beating the Big Show really watered down things too. It's a different time then when Andre the Giant was wrestling, but still, stuff like that just really waters things down.

  • I couldn't agree more with Cornette. I have always said the same things about Shane. He makes the wrestling business look bad when he gets in the ring.

  • This guy 'shoots' on everyone.

  • Is there anyone in the wrestling business Cornette DOESN'T bad mouth? It seems he has something bad to say about almost everyone in the business.

  • shane is what a wrestling needs right now

  • @poet215 In what way? What does he bring to the table from a creative standpoint? More Mayweather? More big guys to push. Are you not forgetting he was behind The Boogyman, the Mayweather million dollar payday, all of Tests pushes, etc.

I actually think that since Triple H has gotten more creative control we are finally seeing a break from PG and a vreak from John Cena always having the title. Do you not like CM Punks push? Or Daniel Brians push?

  • @WhiteStripes45150

wow boogyman tho :(...but beyond those flaws dude was very entertaining...you talking about trips but he's no saint either behind booking...he's just a toned down vinny mac

  • @poet215 Hi there. From what I've read - Shane was always more liked than Vince, Hunter or Steph as he was easy going on the wrestlers and actually listened to them.

I think that NICE attitude was the reason he was purposely demoted and bullied. Hence the reason he left. No one in the family had ever done that and it seems he cared about WWE and the young talent.

The others seem to treat them as a threat to their egos.

    Leaving took balls being family.

  • @thatsthewayitgoes09

Thats the whole point to why shane is much needed in the wwe...if he played a bigger role...the company wouldn't be in the place it's in nowadays...imagine if they went deeper with the inVasion angle and having shane run wcw as a different branch on maybe thursdays, having paul e run ecw on saturdays, and letting wwe have mondays...that'll be a blessing to the industry...but vince, trips, and the rest of the higher ups can never let go ego...which is sad for the business

  • @poet215 The WCW/ECW invasion angle was one of the BIGGEST waste of potential. That would've enabled several diverging story lines and refreshed WWE across the board.

INSTEAD, it became a jobber epic that was more about revenge. Vince will never revisit WCW or ECW as he's scared of not having 100% control. The NEW ECW started off well because Heyman was in charge but was ruined by crap Mcmahon approved GREEN wrestlers and pushing the Big Show.

Sad and it WILL cost WWE one day.

  • @thatsthewayitgoes09

agreed...if vince was smart enough he would have fork over some funds to get the big names like sting, hogan, etc and REALLY made the angle worthwhile...besides that thought...wwe could have push the inVasion roster to full potential...ddp was ruined by that stupid storyline with him and taker...he was the top dog in wcw and they dropped the ball on him...same goes for booker and others...the only guy that got off easy was rvd

  • @poet215 DDP was treated as a joke. RVD did get off easy compared to some but was turned into some lame ass DUDE without ability to speak any more than a few words (as he says in a epic promo at One Night Stand).

The whole point of WWE is that they have always had a hatred of anything outside of themselves. They'd got rid of their main rival WCW who'd beaten them in the ratings for a while and nearly destroyed them.

A revenge of making the stars of both ECW and WCW look weak. EGO.

  • @thatsthewayitgoes09: Agreed. I seriously hate that WWE took a dump on ECW when they brought the show back and then made all the ECW originals look like garbage.

  • @Loader2K1 Well they are two faced to make the ECW originals look like garbage as they're reshowing it all on WWE Network soon?

Just imagine what some skill full booking and working with Heyman would've produced? I think RAW is scared of being outclassed. I always think Smackdown is more fun and less boring.

So many areas that the WWE could improve ie Divas. Japanese woman wrestling is real wrestling. They are tougher than some male WWE stars LOL.

  • @thatsthewayitgoes09: Beyond seeing Ayako Hamada when she was active in TNA, I really don't know much of Japanese women's wrestling. On the subject of women's wrestling, though, in my humble opinion, it is one of the things TNA has done right. The TNA Knockouts could destroy the WWE Divas in a match. But yeah, it would be nice if Paul Heyman has a wrestling promotion that didn't end up going belly-up. He almost joined TNA, but didn't like the direction it was going into.

  • @Loader2K1 You're right Knock outs could EASILY destroy the Divas and far more wrestling orientated. If WWE hired people on wrestling skills and not looks/commercial appeal it would be so much better. It would be a honest product with different levels to the styles and personality not cookie cutters.

Heyman's philosophy was to take advantage of a someone's strength and put it to the fore.

  • @Loader2K1 (Con't) His experience of WWE burnt him and has given him the impression wrestling needs to change before he can commit to another major promotion. I think he is genius because he sticks to basic booking lore. KEEP IT SIMPLE. WWE/TNA are poor compared to ROH as they are focused on ego, £ and a unwillingness to listen.

£ is important but you can't achieve that with out doing it properly and taking notice of fans as well as trends amongst causal viewers.

    WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT.

  • So True Cornette

  • Cornette is an idiot. When was the last time he ever did anything of importance? He's great at putting people down, but has done jack sh*t since the 80s.

  • @TBain81 wrongo

  • Cornettes the shit! Speaks his mind, and the truth!

  • How old is this interview...?

  • fuck yea jim! i swear i have yet to disagree with this man..

  • I desagry whith Cornet here becous Shane is awesom it's not like they bring any celebrity or Santino with hes F'N cobra crap to beat up Legacy, however, Cornette's interviews are F'N awesom! Ilove it

  • That was so fucking funny when Shane went out and beat up Randy, Di Biase and Cody Rhodes all at the same time, really did bury them so badly

  • ha still cant believe wwe shane beat big show its bullshit

  • JIm Cornette shooting on a random person he's worked with? I didn't expect THAT!

    (Sarcasm alert.)

  • Is Lawler wrestling? lmfaooooo

  • this is pretty fucked old isnt it

  • @LibertyPrimeV1 yes cornette really won't do shoots anymore

  • supermanmcmahon!

  • I liked Shane

    Bring his ass back

    New gm on twitter. Lol

  • Go Jimmy. I hated thge whole Super Shane angle. It was terrible. Plain and simple Shane should not be a face on WWE TV EVER! All his best moments were as a heel.

  • @WhiteStripes45150 super shane angle? there was no super shane angle

  • @charmer2323 Did you not see the Legacy vs McMahon angle back in 2008. Shane was taking on three guys all the time, standing toe to toe with Orton and even "saved" the Undertaker during a match. If that's not egomania running wild not sure what is. At least with Cena he's in shape and works his ass off in the ring. Shane just shows up, burys three young guys, then goes back to his cush desk job. Must be nice being a McMahon.

  • this is from a few years ago...

  • this is kinda old. Shane's been gone for a while.

  • Happy Birthday Shane O'Mac. Jim Cornette responds with a big FUCK YOU!

  • Here comes the money!

  • Jim Cornette just shoots and shoots.... god he is boring after awhile, even if he is right... wow dude this is your job now

  • This interview was done around the the same time as the storyline of when Randy Orton kicked Vince in the head.

  • First time jim cornette is coming off as bitter here...Shane is actually a cool guy. Plus it seems the only one that has common sense in that family anymore.

  • @CMPunkMassaroSVR How is Shane the only one with common sense? Because he left the WWE? Working at MSG I've met Linda, Shane and Stephanie. Of the 3 Stephanie was the coolest, most down to earth & when you talk to her about wrestling, very passionate and knowledgeable. Linda had like zero personality, and Shane really didn't want to be bothered by anyone. What has Shane done that makes sense? Negotiate 1mil for a Mayweather PPV appearance? Create The Boogyman?

  • Shane O Mac rules

  • Happy 42nd Birthday Shane :)

  • You dont go off on my boy Shane!

  • I find it impossible to believe Shane is almost 40
