The Playmates makers made a huge mistake. Donatello and Leonardo should NOT have their cross straps joining their Ninja belts! If the 1987 Cartoon episodes have all 4 Ninja turtles wearing just ordinary belts, they should have it with the toys. Donatello can put his Bo Staff at the back of the shell, so does Leonardo with the katanas and Michelangelo with his Nunchakus. Raphael alone always puts his sais at the front. The 1987 Cartoon is way better that the 1988 TMNT Playmates Toys!

In other territories they were licensed for release by Bandai and Croner.

@trans8010 well in japane they were issued by a company called Kyoto inc, then when their contract ran out bandai got it.Personally i never heard of Croner lol

@AtticusRh0des Croner I believe was the distributor for the toys in Australia. They were a division of Tyco over there.
