i labored for about 50 hours with my son.thank god i was at home cause if i went to the hospital they would have never let me take that long. i hope this one goes a little faster
@satisfactionnone REALLY!! I love the name. We had the name chosen for a girl, I really wanted a girl because I love the name so much. YAY! Not a common name at all.
I will let the mama respond to your question for sake of confidentiality. But yes she did relax just fine and there were some other factors involved. When birth is left alone it ca take up to 4 days. We dont see that much as childbirth educators because the medical system is so quick to induce, augment, and do csections.
I'm a home birth Momma & nat. childbirth educator, and in my experience the more Momma can relax the easier the baby will come down. She seemed to do a good job of relaxing. A three day labor is something that we don't hear much about, without a C- section. Is there a reason why it was three days, was it the Mommas sate of mind or just the baby acting in its own time? Was this a planned home or hospital birth?
@mynaturalchildbirth I has planned a home birth. My water broke 20 hours before big contractions started. At one point my contractions were about 2 min apart and I was only dilated 5cm. The baby was really low but by the time I got to the hospital she moved back up and her heart rate was dropping. So yes, I do believe the long labor was both my mind set and the baby in the end.
So awesome, I LOVE big babies... and you know most people tell me that they had no idea that their baby was going to be big also. I really dont think a mother can tell. Most people try to go by size of belly or how much the mother has gained weight but that still do not hold value. I had this one friend who gained 65pnds and her baby was a little over 6pnds yikes!

@renerocks745 Hi Rene, thank you. But that was all the video clip I had of the labor. Mostly it was a few pictures here and there which I tried hard not to be obvious (a laboring woman does not need camera flashing everywhere). Thank you for viewing : )

Yah, I gained just over 60lbs. I think the extra 50 was due to all the cookies I ate ;)
