And now listening to a 'live' version of this song played by John Mayer, he plays it almost the exact same speed. There's a difference when you play in studio and out of studio and typically you play a little bit faster in front of people than actually playing it alone in studio. But that doesn't mean you can't play your own style, and the most aggravating thing to me is people are always critisizing others by comparing to the exact song other than the musicians own style of that song.

Personally I don't care if this kid plays it faster or slower, it's just a cover. I like the way he plays it fast, he gives it a catchy sound with his style. I've been playing for 12 years on and off and I'm pretty good ill say, but I dont think I'll ever get as good as this kid, good job bro. And I dont deserve the right to critisize this talented kid. Props to you man, keep it up, and keep the haters off of your back; more importantly, play your style and nobody elses, and you'll go a long way

lol just wait until you have enough money and get a Gibson Les Paul, Gibson SG, Fender Telecaster, or a Fender Stratocaster. I personally have a les paul because it has one hellofa rock sound and can also play one warm nice toned acoustic.
