  • this guy went to my highschool

  • @BluemoonAXE he is still learning a complex playbook,he could be a playoff suprise though when we saw him he was good

  • PASSED ON DANIEL THOMAS & MIKEL LESHOURE FOR THE FORMER CAL PROJECT..... BILL BELICHICK TURNS PROJECTS INTO PROPERTY BUT I STILL BELIEVE DANIEL THOMAS WAS THE BETTER PICK

  • i cant wait 2 see this guy play

  • I find it hard to believe he weighs 210?

  • fuck this guy. danny woodhead is way better

  • @CallAnAmberLampsLOL1 Look at Woodheads stats dude he's never even gotten a rushing TD and isn't doing anything this year for your team I say move Green Ellis to FB becuase he is no RB and use Vereen to start and Woodhead a 3DRB and KR and PR'er and there is their running game partially patched up.

  • @BluemoonEXE im guessing that you think you know football cuz you play madden. Wood head does have a rushing touchdown actually and green ellis is too small for fullback. if vereen stays healthy he could be good one day, but right now, its ridley who is winning the starting job

  • @41fallout14 Madden has nothing to do with most football logic a guy can run a 4.40 and in madden have 85 speed again Madden had nothing to do with my thinking.

Sorry about the Woodhead part I was stating it over sometime before but woodhead hasn't been truly effective this year and their have been many better 3DRB, I haven't seen much of ridley yet sadly not a pat's fan. Though Pat's really need a running game Ben Jarvus is only there for blocking an goal line rushing.

  • @BluemoonEXE ridley played more at the end of the season, and he was pretty good. but, i mostly agree with you.

  • @BluemoonEXE green is to small to be a fullback and he is solid rb and is great in short yard the patriots dont need a guy to break away for a huge gain thats what the passing game is 4

  • is this BEN VEREEN's son? lol

  • Green-ellis fullback ? New Englad does not use fullbacks

  • @aldocreyes

I wouldnt be suprised if after this year green ellis moved to FB and woodhead and vereen were the main HB's

  • @XxJKittenxX Green Ellis as a fullback? That will never happen, have you seen his frame? He isn't built for that at all.

  • if this guy can versus the nfl great players, green ellis, should be FB...

  • him and woodhead yea patssssss

  • @1998shyguy Too bad Woodhead sucks.

  • Yeah Shane coming from Valencia high school don't forget to come visit once in a while

  • @I2EFLeX69 Marshawn Lynch visits my highschool almost everyday during off season.

    Oakland Tech Baby!

  • @blakedub13 poor guy is never healthy. thought he'd be a beast in buffalo. Bills offensive line sucks anyways, he's lucky to be out of Barfalo.

  • great pick for the pats

  • I hate Mel Kiper.

  • i hate when they predict wether or not they will be elite. they have no clue as to what his success will be i dont like when they limit ppl

  • I agree ShutDown, I see him a lot like Jahvid Best.

  • Love this pick. With Kevin Faulk ever aging, Fred Taylor considering retirement, and with the whole BJ-GE contract situation, I think drafting two good running backs to add to Woodhead is a very good decision. Quick, smart, one-cut, downhill runner, welcome to the Pats!

  • i love this pick he is going to be like Jahvid Best but on the pats

  • I still think they should of nabbed Ingram

  • @ColinTheMac1201 me too, but ive heard that he wouldnt fit very well in our offensive system.

  • @TOEBOY813 vereen is going to be extremely successful for the pats...I guarantee it

  • They didn't need a runningback with this pick. They skipped the top 5 runningbacks!

  • @ItzzSelena Yes we but we should try and get that LB from Boston College and Darvin Adams from auburn.

  • @ItzzSelena the guy we got in the 5th was a guard named marcus cannon who was a 2nd round talent. Markel Carter was the DE we got out of central arkansas in the 6th round he is who your thinking of but he wasnt projected as a 2nd rounder in fact he wasn't even invited to the combine.

  • Congrats Shane! Represent VHS '08!!

  • It's all about production with this young man; 35 total TD'S....averaged 9.1 yards on 74 catches....averaged 5.1 yards on 556 carries.

Great combo of speed, quickness, & strength (31 reps at the combine)

  • To the Pats fans below me, Shane is an awesome fit. I think he's better in this system than Mark Ingram. Shane is a complete player. Doesn't have any elite attribute, but is very very good in plenty.

  • @SirEatsALotz i agree

  • We should of picked Ingram!!! Thats the dumbest move the pats have ever made I'm so pissed about it that I still can't get over it he fell perfectly into the pats lap but the trade with the saints and just sent them off to another superbowl!!!

  • I just have a little question: WHY THE FUCK DID WE TRADE OUR 1ST ROUND PICK???we could have had the best RB in the fucking draft!that was our worst decision in this year's draft. And I do think that we should have got at least a DE.

  • Another Cal RB in the NFL

  • im a pats fan and its a great pick up for us...

  • As a Jets fan who despises the Patriots, I wish you the best of luck Shane! VHS 08! It was a true pleasure following this guy's career since the day he became a local star. Shane is the only Pats player I will legitimately root for (I still have a slight liking for Woodhead but I'm sure that'll die out soon).

Who knew that at Angel Stadium on December 11, 2004 that 2 future NFL players were on the field and would end up on bitter rivals? I am sooo glad I made the trip.

  • Shane!
