@heeygerrit Grats. And how many have bought it so far? I guess, 0. The hardware in a BeoVision TV is the same as freaking Panasonic. The software isn't, though. But I wouldn't really care much about the latter IMO, when I can get the same hardware for 1/5 or less of the price.
For everybody who thinks that there is a tv or soundsystem that's better should go to the B&O store and be wrong. Once you've heard or seen B&O in reallife, you'll never want something else.
@gerard1710 My dad has had 2 B&O TV's, a B&O Home Theater Sound-system and a B&O Radio. I don't really see the awesomeness in it? I'm fine with my Samsung 42" LED. I went to our local B&O not long ago, just to check how high their prices have gone these days. I must say, I now - more than ever - never want to buy anything branded by B&O.
i just bought a 13 inch emerson at my local walmart , this tv seems slightly better . i bought it because the thought of shitting diamonds scares me , now i only shit coal when i turn on my emerson ..
If I have this complete entertainment system, then the pretty woman come to me sneeze assigned to that facility, then what does for me that I can have two great things together. The facilities and the beautiful woman. (wenn das niemand versteht, dann ist es ja auch egal) xD xD xD xD xD
Some say that this is just a panasonic.......the panel is a Panasonic but the video engine is made by B&O and that what ist all about. Just like when you have a PC....its the GPU that matters and the screen it selv is just what shows what comes out of the video engine. So stop saying "it just a panasonic" cause its not.
The guy I talked to at B&O Cherry Creek in Denver, CO said they only sell like 6 of these a year WORLDWIDE!
And that was something I always kind of thought was interesting. This TV is like 6x more expensive than their next most expensive product (the Beolab 5 at $22,000/pair). While I could see people who buy brands like Wilson Audio or B&W getting something like this cause that stuff costs MUCH more than B&O and they'd be used to spending that much, would a B&O owner really be willing to ?
I don't understand why people will throw their money buying B&O, which is FOUR TIMES AS EXPENSIVE as other products with similar, when not better, technical characteristics.
I guess some people just enjoys spending as much money as they can, regardless of the quality they get.
So, is it guaranteed that this "piece of art" will even match the style of your apartement?
From my experience with hi-end electronics consumers, I can tell music and movies lovers like to spend even more money, as long as they get the best audio and video quality, and regardless of the design.
I mean, for that amount of money you can custom ANY piece of electronics you want to suit your interior design needs. The difference is better spent in acquiring better quality.
I understand, the people spend their money becouse is the way of telling "I'm rich", you have to see that these people don't want a TV, they want a piece of art, an expensive piece of art!
Actually, you may be right. I was told by a B&O enthusiast that this TV was actually made by Panasonic, and B&O is just putting their name on it and jacking the price up about $100,000.
You seem to have a problem with B&O, as you are leaving a lot of comments around the web!
Now, B&O obviously don't make their own panels, infact very few people do! However, read up and you might be surprised at what they do make, and that includes much of the circuitry that drives these panels!
Oh no, I don't have a problem with B&O. I own their A8 earphones, which I love. Actually, I'd say I like B&O more than a lot of audio enthusiasts out there. Some of the ones I've talked to say it's crap; one even compared B&O to the quality of Jensen!
The reason I do like B&O is because their products look outstanding, which is their main selling point. Their TVs are nice, and so are their CD players, but their speaker's cost-to-performance ratio is just not there.
yes indeed, fuckinlaser has problems with the company...He just can't simply afford but the headphones he allegedly claims he got..........i bet you! from craiglist for $40.....he's 20 years old for godsake!!!!
Actually, I got them directly from the dealer in Portland, OR (which unfortunately went out of business. But, I got a new pair from B&O Cherry Creek in Denver. Great people to deal with!)
But, if you don't believe me, I'll just have the satisfaction of knowing you're wrong and I'm right.
And, my dream is to own a Wilson surround system, and the one I'd want would cost twice as much as the most expensive 7.1 B&O system. I can't afford this, so why am I not hating it like you think I should be?
Hey folks, it's not for us, the mortal ones! If you drive a Ferrari, a Bentley or a Lamborghini, you won't want to lower yourself to a ... Samsung, or Sony!
@danxl5 You are absolutely correct. i went to a B&O store yesterday and got a sample of the 55,000 USD full system (including drop down projector system) and pretty much did exactly that. I watched the opening sequence of Casino Royale on it. Jesus Christ it was amazing.
By the way this TV cost much more then 10000$ it is something close to 135.000$ if you don`t believe me check their website. This is Bang&Olufsen product, the most expensive.
That's crazy money for a tv, makes me wonder how the PQ on this monster compares to say the 9g kuro's.
The elite models where what $7k when they released? I for one can't imagine the PQ on this B&O being worth $128,000more. Then again I've never seen it in action and 103" is just 0_0
too easy talk like that, the picture engine is different, the quality of the component also, the stand motorized, the brand, status symbol,art....it doesn't justifien the price, but when the price is justified on the luxury product?never.the mark up is always very high
you are 100% right. It uses the Panasonic P P however, they have add the B&O clear vision technology along with the Motor. The Panasonic is $70000. If you consider it part of Decor, then its more than a TV set.
