I've never really liked this song... and I still don't. However, for some reason, I like listening to this song. It reminds me of my childhood. I don't want to become older. It's not that I'm afraid of death. It's that I've missed so much of my childhood. I never had a chance to be a kid. I was the one people bullied, and I was always an outcast, so I had to grow up faster.

I get ridiculed because Alphaville has been my favourite band since 1984 when these songs first came out. I am blown away by the covers of these songs yet the band itself is relatively obscure and unknown. In my view, this is unrecognized genius.

This year I hope to see AV in Europe. I have been waiting 25 years for this!

Aplhaville is from Germany. They originated in the early 1980's when I was in high school. They were part of the syntho-pop fad during that time.

Originally a trio there was some turnover but the constant in the band is Marian Gold. In 1984 they released the album forever young. Several albums followed.

They still record and tour, but really only in Europe. There were some plans to come to Toronto but it never happened. This is what I have to go to Europe to see them.
