Well my girlfriend did. She had no Watchtower literature at hand when she saw the biblical truth that the earth will be a restored paradise in a near future. Nor did she have a Jehovahs Witness there with her to indoctrinate her. The holy spirit guided her way.

a question of the 144,000 annointed. in revelations that number is the representation of the 12,000 representitives of the 12 tribes of israel. that you consider to be symbolic, yet the 144,000 is literal. did john stand there and take 5 days to count every single one, or were they arranged in 12 squares of 120x100? How do you know that is a literal number and not a symbolic one to represent a large mass of people? When one transgresses against you, do you forgive him only 490 (70x7) times?
Col 1:16, in talking about Jesus, says that"... All [other] things have been created through him and FOR HIM". If Jesus were Michael the Archangel at the time of creation, would an angel have created all things for himself? Isa 43:7 says God created "everyone ... for my OWN glory ..."
The text doesnt say that everything was created by himself and that what he created he created it for himself. Rather it says that all things were created "through him and for him". God created all things through his Son. Jesus was a instrument in creation and was besides the Father as a "Master worker".(Proverbs 8:22-28)Since Jesus was the firstborn of all creation of course everything else that the Father makes is for him!

I believe that this earth is going to be destroyed, and that God is going to create a new heaven and a new earth. The New Jerusalem will descend from Heaven and I believe that all true Christians(not just 144,000) will dwell with God and the Lamb on this new earth in the New Jerusalem. All others who are not dwelling with God(people who are not born again--non-saved people) will be cast into the lake of fire. Please read Revelation Ch.21.
I appreciate the comment. But your statement of the earth being destoryed runs contray to what the scriptures say in Isaiah 45:18. God will not destroy the earth. The "New Heavens and the New earth" are not literally new places if not that means heaven would be destroyed to. Rather the "New heavens" is the rule of Christ and his Anoited followers. And the new earth is the New World Society that will survive the End.
Thank you for your reply, Newagegamer. Isaiah 45:18 tells us that He created it to be inhabited, but it does not necessarily say that it will never be destroyed and replaced by a new earth. II Peter 3:10-12(KJV) teaches us that the heavens shall pass away with a great noise. These verses also tell us that the earth shall be burned up, and also tells us that the heavens shall be dissolved. Jesus Himself also said "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."(Matt.24:35).
But where we disagree is whether they are to be taken seriously or to take it as symbolic. Of course heaven cannot pass away for it is Gods dwelling place. Isaiah 45:18 says that the earth was not made for nothing. Why would God destroy the earth just to make it over again? The same with heaven. It must therefore mean that the "New heavens and the New earth" represent a dramtic change in these places in which they can hence be called "New".
It's possible, but that wouldn't really explain why the Bilbe says in II Peter that the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and that the earth shall be burned up. God made this earth for us to live on, we sinned and defiled it, God sent His Son to purchase us back to Himself with His own blood, Jesus rose again, ascended to heaven, and of course He is coming back soon. After the Judgement, God will make a New Heaven and a New Earth from what I understand.
Also, it is possible that when it refers to the heavens being destroyed, it may not be talking about God's dwelling place, but the sky and space itself. When the Bible refers to "heaven" it is not always referring to the abode of God, but sometimes simply the sky above us. When speaking of the heaven and the earth passing away, it may be meaning that God will destroy this current universe(earth and heaven--the sky and space). I don't claim this to be fact, just theory. I'd have to study it more.
I believe that the rightous will inherit the earth. However, there is a small trip to heaven, in between. 1 Thess 4:13-17, read also 2 Thess 2: note the statement, that the anti-christ, will be destroyed at the coming of Christ. Then look in revelation 20:5,6 and the entire chapter, Note, there is 2 ressurections. One to life, then 1000 years later, a ressurection to damnation. Then God will make everything new, rev 21.

I think you should read your Bible again that scripture has been completly taken out of context the light geting brighter actually means your quality of life will get better if you follow wise council. I agree with you, God does NOT mislead. There is however, enough evidence in the Bible, to ignore, and thus create your own doctrines, based on hidden motives. God will not force you to worship Him, or follow Him. The heart, does not want to know that it is sinful, or wicked, it will decieve itself only to feel comfortable and secure. Well, you do know the verse, "I and the Father am One?" I think its in john 14. "Have you seen Me, have you seen the Father" Paul, states in Hebews, that Jesus Christ, is the exact mirror image of the Father. 2 cor 3:17, tells us that the Lord is the Spirit, in the NWT, it translates Jehova is the Spirit. So there you have it.

If the Trinity is true, it is degrading to Jesus to say that he was never equal to God as part of a Godhead. But if the Trinity is false, it is degrading to Almighty God to call anyone his equal, and even worse to call Mary the "Mother of God." a question of the 144,000 annointed. in revelations that number is the representation of the 12,000 representitives of the 12 tribes of israel. that you consider to be symbolic, yet the 144,000 is literal. did john stand there and take 5 days to count every single one, or were they arranged in 12 squares of 120x100? How do you know that is a literal number and not a symbolic one to represent a large mass of people? When one transgresses against you, do you forgive him only 490 (70x7) times?

The text doesnt say that everything was created by himself and that what he created he created it for himself. Rather it says that all things were created "through him and for him". God created all things through his Son. Jesus was a instrument in creation and was besides the Father as a "Master worker".(Proverbs 8:22-28)Since Jesus was the firstborn of all creation of course everything else that the Father makes is for him!

I believe that this earth is going to be destroyed, and that God is going to create a new heaven and a new earth. The New Jerusalem will descend from Heaven and I believe that all true Christians(not just 144,000) will dwell with God and the Lamb on this new earth in the New Jerusalem. All others who are not dwelling with God(people who are not born again--non-saved people) will be cast into the lake of fire. Please read Revelation Ch.21.

I appreciate the comment. But your statement of the earth being destoryed runs contray to what the scriptures say in Isaiah 45:18. God will not destroy the earth. The "New Heavens and the New earth" are not literally new places if not that means heaven would be destroyed to. Rather the "New heavens" is the rule of Christ and his Anoited followers. And the new earth is the New World Society that will survive the End.

Thank you for your reply, Newagegamer. Isaiah 45:18 tells us that He created it to be inhabited, but it does not necessarily say that it will never be destroyed and replaced by a new earth. II Peter 3:10-12(KJV) teaches us that the heavens shall pass away with a great noise. These verses also tell us that the earth shall be burned up, and also tells us that the heavens shall be dissolved. Jesus Himself also said "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."(Matt.24:35).

But where we disagree is whether they are to be taken seriously or to take it as symbolic. Of course heaven cannot pass away for it is Gods dwelling place. Isaiah 45:18 says that the earth was not made for nothing. Why would God destroy the earth just to make it over again? The same with heaven. It must therefore mean that the "New heavens and the New earth" represent a dramtic change in these places in which they can hence be called "New".

It's possible, but that wouldn't really explain why the Bilbe says in II Peter that the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and that the earth shall be burned up. God made this earth for us to live on, we sinned and defiled it, God sent His Son to purchase us back to Himself with His own blood, Jesus rose again, ascended to heaven, and of course He is coming back soon. After the Judgement, God will make a New Heaven and a New Earth from what I understand.

Also, it is possible that when it refers to the heavens being destroyed, it may not be talking about God's dwelling place, but the sky and space itself. When the Bible refers to "heaven" it is not always referring to the abode of God, but sometimes simply the sky above us. When speaking of the heaven and the earth passing away, it may be meaning that God will destroy this current universe(earth and heaven--the sky and space). I don't claim this to be fact, just theory. I'd have to study it more.

I believe that the rightous will inherit the earth. However, there is a small trip to heaven, in between. 1 Thess 4:13-17, read also 2 Thess 2: note the statement, that the anti-christ, will be destroyed at the coming of Christ. Then look in revelation 20:5,6 and the entire chapter, Note, there is 2 ressurections. One to life, then 1000 years later, a ressurection to damnation. Then God will make everything new, rev 21.

I think you should read your Bible again that scripture has been completly taken out of context the light geting brighter actually means your quality of life will get better if you follow wise council. Problem with the watchtower is its views do change the Bible has never changed neither has Jehovah so why does his chosen organization change so much? if Jehovah is guiding them how is it that they get things soo wrong that people leave?

New light, can never override, old light. God does not mislead, but reveal the truth gradualy. So what Gods people, said 100 years ago was true according to the Bible, then it is still true today. If you understand what I mean?

I agree with you, God does NOT mislead. There is however, enough evidence in the Bible, to ignore, and thus create your own doctrines, based on hidden motives. God will not force you to worship Him, or follow Him. The heart, does not want to know that it is sinful, or wicked, it will decieve itself only to feel comfortable and secure. I fear that, JW feel secure in their organisation, thus they are listening to their heart, they should seek Truth, always.

Thank God. Don't need anymore of those. But you are right, you'll be d'fed for teaching other doctrine. The WTS isn't perfect. They've made mistakes too. I compare it to the Jews in Jesus day. But Jesus still told his followers to subject to it. Jehovah will straighten things out if needed. But aside from their mistakes, they do have more truth than anyone else. Which makes them very liable to Jehovah. I could be wrong though. I'm merely human

It is worth mentioning, that in the beginning, JW did not shun the members that they disfellowshiped. It is a relative new thing. It is not a christian thing to do. The shunning bit that is, to disfellowship yes, shunning, no.

Of course I do, silly. All JWs accept Jesus as their Savior and King. You can't call yourself a Christian if you don't follow what Christ taught. But I don't believe in adding things that he didn't teach, like the trinity or him being equal to God. Not to be found, not the teaching, not even the word. Jesus said God was better than he was. I follow that. Jesus is second, though, only to the creator of the universe. No lower.

Friend: Jesus Christ, is the Creator. If you follow Christ, as you claim, why do you not keep the commandments that He gave us? That is, the 10 commandments of God. You know, there is only one Lawgiver, James 4:12 tells us, that is our Saviour, Acts 4:12 tells us, that is Jesus Christ. True, the word Trinity is not in the Bible, the word Godhead, however, is. Jesus is part of the Godhead.

Not Godhead isn't in the original Greek and Hebrew text. Your bible added it to support the trinity. You are following Constantine, Not Jesus. He basically invented the trinity at council of Nicea. In fact, nothing was even said about the Holy spirit at that time. That didn't happen for a while after. Before telling me to research, maybe you should follow your own advice. Try Britannica. Well, you do know the verse, "I and the Father am One?" I think its in john 14. "Have you seen Me, have you seen the Father" Paul, states in Hebews, that Jesus Christ, is the exact mirror image of the Father. 2 cor 3:17, tells us that the Lord is the Spirit, in the NWT, it translates Jehova is the Spirit. So there you have it.

THAT text, at John 10:30, is often cited to support the Trinity, even though no third person is mentioned there. But Jesus himself showed what he meant by his being "one" with the Father. At John 17:21, 22, he prayed to God that his disciples "may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, . . . that they may be one just as we are one." Was Jesus praying that all his disciples would become a single entity?

Island. In a sense, yes. Jesus Christ, as the head of the body, the body being the church of God, the people of God, would become as one single unit. It is not a multiheaded beast, but that one that is under direction and leadership. That have no arguments, that do what God tells us.

If the Trinity is true, it is degrading to Jesus to say that he was never equal to God as part of a Godhead. But if the Trinity is false, it is degrading to Almighty God to call anyone his equal, and even worse to call Mary the "Mother of God." If the Trinity is false, it dishonors God to say, as noted in the book Catholicism: "Unless [people] keep this Faith whole and undefiled, without doubt [they] shall perish everlastingly. And the Catholic Faith is this: we worship one God in Trinity."

Im not a catholic, they have a wrong view of the trinity. Mary will never be the mother of God, the RCC believes she is, and makes her a godess. The Bible states that she is dead, sleeping in the graves, until the second coming of Christ. Jesus Christ, said that He was equal to the Father, John 14.

No, according to me, He prayed to the Father. This is not what I am saying, it is what the Bible is saying. The words here, is a prophecy fullfilled from psalms 22. Also read Isayah 40. There it clearly shows us, that Jesus Christ is our God. Jesus Christ, our Creator, the Creator and Lawgiver, died for our Sins. So that we can be forever with the Godhead.

Island: We are not saying, that Jesus Christ, is the Father, he is the Son. The Godhead, is 3 persons, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. If you read Matt 28:19, you learn that they each share the same Name. Why is that? 2 cor 3:17. Read it.

So, read that verse in the NWT. "Begot me at the beginning of His way" The His here, is The Father, so the verse is saying, that Wisdom was begotten, at the beginning of the Fathers way. Thus, if Wisdom, was brought into existance, then the Father must also been brought into existance, thus you are at an impass. (Btw, the Catholic Bible, is a joke when it comes to accuracy.)

When the Son of God is called the "first born of every creature" by Paul, Christ is included in the class of those who experienced a calling into life by the Creator, a beginning of existence, not someone who had existed from all eternity.

I have to disagree with you. Firstborn, does not mean firstcreated. Not in terms of the Bible, it means the First, thats all. Take David as an example, was born 8th in the family, was called the Firstborn. As for Jesus Christ, being the Firstborn, still imply that, He is born of God, that means, He is God, like I am born of my father/mother, I am the son, but Im still Human. God is not an angel.
