people are honestly stupid if they think pacey and joey were better than dawson and joeys relationship. It didnt matter who she was with, she had a hidden wanting for dawson which made pacey always question her during there relationship. But then kevin williamson left and i never did think the series would show truely how the characters evolved. different writers with different ideas, yet taking the show away from the original writers point of view. pacey didnt have a chance if kevin stayed.

@91TransAmKid ITA! Honestly, I hate Dawson but I still think Dawson and Joey were meant to be. That said, I also like Joey and Pacey and think they have intense chemistry - but Dawson and Joey had a history and connection that Pacey could never have with her. Plus, Pacey became a total jerk in season 4 (yelling at her all the time, pressuring her for sex, etc.). Personally, I think Dawson & Joey but especially Pacey and Andie were the best couples on the show. Andie made Pacey a better person.

@XshamosasX Exuse me but Dawson did nothing but hold Joey back, Try and prevent her from moving on, IE the ultimatum in the longest day, Joey fell in love with Pacey, and FYI, Pacey NEVER pressured joey for sex, NEVER! Pacey's insecurities was what happened at the prom, pacey felt like crap about himself way before he ever got with joey. Andie cheated on Pacey, Cheating changes things, you see the person differently.

@autumnmist927 Umm YES HE DID. They got in a fight because she wasn't ready to sleep with him when they went to that place - it doesn't matter what he was insecure about, he had no right to do that. And even if he was insecure, the way he talked to her at prom was just horrible. Even if Andie did cheat on Pacey, she still loved him and she was the one who made him feel good about himself, and always encouraged him in school. And Joey cheated on Dawson, but Dawson's always the villian?!

Dawson is selfish, egotistical and an all round douche. He may have been the title character, but he was also the most hated. Which is why PJ started in S3.

Also, the DJ couple are just not convincing. Joey appears truly disinhibited and happy with Pacey. With Dawson it was just nostalgic sentiment, since they were a perpetually 15. The DJ relationship will always be a more platonic one, as the chemistry just wasn't there. Whilst Pacey and Joey had electryfying chemistry. Best couple ever.

I think the writers made a huge mistake putting Joey with Pacey, It was so clear that Dawson and Joey were meant for each other. Jen was such a waste of film. It was always Joey and Dawson, and any true fan can see past Pacey as just a sarcastic facade
