I like how in all of the shows, he's never a very physically imposing man. He's not going to take you out with his fists - more likely he'd torment you until you snapped and then gas you with the toxin, or gas you straight away. He loves the effect of fear on the mind.

@toomanyobsessions the one with him in the black coat and hat is the NEW batman TAS aka NTAS. IMO they sort of screwed him up in that show. He didn't look like a scarecrow.

when i was a kid i watched batman alot and scarecrow gave me nightmares. now i look back at those times and laugh..........until i got arkham aylum. in that game scarecrow is just terifying. i love it

I like the Batman: Arkham Asylum version of Scarecrow best. In that game, Scarecrow was terrifying. And not just because of his costume. Anyone agree with me?

Oh, definitely. Batman: Arkham Asylum really managed to avoid portraying any of it's characters as the campy, stereotypical versions seen on some of the newer Batman TV shows, and actually made them into legitimately frightening villains.

The Scarecrow was an excellent example of that, in terms of both his revamped ominous appearance and unsettling voice, to his deeply disturbing gameplay levels.

The closest two scarecrows I've seen are the final incarnation Scarecrow in the new adventures and Batman Begins Scarecrow.

There were only two problems with Begins Scarecrow. He was after money which is not really what the Scarecrow was about and Katie Homes took him out. I didn't buy that for a second.

if you ever do, make sure you bring a A-class villian gallary like batman did. All the villians now are so watered down and censored that you just cant get the fantastic storylines and charaters you did in batman, i miss the days when villians where actully VILLIANS and not morons running around in circles with no idea what it is to actully be bad

I don't think it references Jesus directly, but it talks more about the hypocrites who don't act as they preach. And in my opinion the song is saying that even people who are doing bad things, as long as they admit to them, they are more virtuous than the hypocrites we normally hear from.

Thats my opinion anyway.
