I have to disagree with the most economical car statement. The BEST EVER car and MOST ECONOMICAL was the 1980's Daihatsu Charade. Advertised as "100MPH - 100MPG". It had a small engine and fulfilled both claims. It was 30 years ahead of it's time. I had a Matiz as a courtesy car when my car was being fixed. It was terrible and very very slow, also 3 cylinders. I had to drive it so hard and rev it to get it to move, so economy was worse than my larger turbo petrol engine. They are unsafe!

Plastic manifold does not sound good! When I had one the engine often used to die soon as you took you food off the gas pedal then you had to restart it. Not very safe at junctions. I think it was the computer or exhaust valve.

THEN THERE WILL BE LEAKAGE IN INLET MANIFOLD.. AS I HAVE FACED THE PROBLEM.. BUT GOT THE SOLUTION OF IT..CARS NEEDS 2.2 LITRE OF COOLANT ALONG WITH MIXTURE OF WATER.. FILL THE CAR WID 1.6 OR 1.8 LITRE WITH COOLANT & REST WITH WATER.. TIS DOES`NT LET THE TEMP NEEDLE TO ROSE SOON...WORKS GRT WITH AC.. CHILLS IN SECS !!

DAEWOO made cars in Europe in Romania and Poland ... and in Romania this car could bought 5600-6800 euro! i think it's no low cost but it's a small price! and i want to make a comparation with Dacia Logan who is make in Romania and her price is 5.900 with 1.4 and 75hp and euro 5 matiz have euro 2/3 , 0.8 and the price is the same!...

@ALLYDAEWOO ally..rem me?i to lov my daewoo 2000 but i think i made mistake as i kept shampoo in my water bucket which is used for windscreen water suply since than i got blurry look in front glass..whever i use wiper it makes more blurry..changing windscreen and avoiding shampoo didnt work..need ur help..and i travelled 1000 kms in 2 days..continues..last time no prblem but silencer box damaged creating hoarse sound..so i replaced it..suggest me precaustion to travell long distance

@vfxnitin well use good quality of shampoo.. but in less quantity..like one saczhe in bottle of car.. then add 2 liters of water in the tank.... it will never ever blurr it again..use distilled water in the car... well for long trips.better have extra bottle of coolant in ur car.... alternator & ac belt in ur car.use castrol or shell as ur engine oil...always clean radiator with high pressure water each month..check coolant level use 2.5 liter of coolant & half liter of water. ask me .any thing

I am sorry! I just read the description if the video under the screen and it says: THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO DAEWOO MOTORS, WHO MADE THE WORLD`S MOST ECONOMICAL VEHICLE WITH ALL LUXURY FEATURES. THIS CAR IS A SURE MASTERPIECE, EVEN @HIGH SPEEDS OFFERS WONDERFULL MILEAGE. It isn't the most economical the engine was so small it worked too hard and did at 40mpg with bad CO2 figures. The only luxury features were leather seats and leather body trim and electric windows. What about the DS3 or the prius.

SHIFT THESE GEARS WITH THERE ARE MORE THEN 3 PEOPLE IN THE CAR WITH AIRCON ON...OTHER WISE REDUCED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE..... REDUCED RPM`S AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

I have drive this car and I want to say it surprise me! I am 1.95m and I fit very good in every seat front and rear! the engine also it have a lot of power (for 800cc) and its economical! BUT: Cheap plastics make noises. Side winds push the car really bad,

after 110km/h the car choose the way it goes. and bad view on the curves. Anyway Its one of the best city cars cos it is cheap, it have cheap parts and service! (sorry for my English)

for thoose who think that Daewoo Matiz is a great car, think twice. Daewoo had a factory in Romania (my country) who made this piece of crap betoween 98-2005. It's economical, but it has cheep plastic, and no resistance. And BTW, if you're stucked somewhere.. you are so fucked! Belive me.. i've drived this car and is sucks. Many poor romanian people bought this car, because it was cheap.. but they regreted later. Sorry for my english

@Maracidonel It's not even economical, 40MPG (imp) from new for a 3cyl 800/900cc engine is low. A 1300 Fiesta can get 45 MPG after 90,000 miles!
