  • ~ Holy shittttt...If I blinked twice during this it was twice to many times. I wonder if a show like this would work on todays television. Other than of course, on PBS...Which no one watches but me from time to time.

  • Could something this beautiful and profound really have been pop music once? can you imagine something like this on TV today?

  • <3 her face, the expression, the voice, beautiful.

  • The arrangement isa masterpiece. Who is the arranger?

  • @guscaldas2 Maybe Mort Lindsey, the orchestra's conductor. This is available on DVD and perhaps it might say. Or check with a website about Ms. Lee.

  • Peggy Lee sings it nicely but i Love the way Dietrich sung it. think you can only find it on a Google search..

  • This was a favorite song of Natalie Wood. Just reading a biography of her's and looked up this song. Kind of sad.

  • @sunnyelaine999 Yes, it was her favorite- such a bitter song, we don't want to think of Natalie as sad or bitter.

  • @sunnyelaine999 I came here for the same reason a year after you... I agree with what you say. Regards!

  • no wonder it's a bit dated, it's older than me:-) and i'm no spring chicken either. it's grand and i thank you for posting it!

  • The staging is interesting, if a bit dated, but OH! The emotion!!! I hardly knew Peggy Lee could sing with so much feeling. Amazing!!

  • Pretty good for a little girl from Jamestown, North Dakota.
