most modern country singers shy away from Patsy Cline because they can't measure up, vocally. Deceptively simple music which tests the range of the most popular singers. Last one who could do it was Leanne Rhymes (sp), at fourteen years of age, and look how SHE turned out: lame, forgettable, pop-country hokiness.

Went to see Jeff Beck and Imelda last night at the State theatre in New Jersey. She was incredible as was Jeff Beck and the entire band.What a great show,all I can say is Bravo!!!!!!!!

Imelda is wonderful. She was great in the tribute to Les Paul with Jeff Beck. It is nice to hear her guitarist play all the nice lead stuff on this tune. FANTASTIC!!!

Most female country artists stay away from Patsy Cline material. They are afraid of the comparisms. Cline is the shadow that hangs over all female country artists no matter how big they are. This woman pulls it off. Incredible talent. She's the best female artist I've seen in 20 years. She also has a kick ass band backing her. Fantastic!

@Leotheleprachaun Never claimed she was a country artist. I said she pulled off a terrific cover of a great Patsy Cline song. I can't think of a female country artist who could do it as well. Imelda May is more of a rockabilly singer but she has tremendous versatility. She can cover a wide range of material. But if she wanted to do country, she could do it easily do it. (It's also hard to be a country star if you live in UK). There's nobody in country music today who has as much talent as her.
