Eh. I would argue that nothing really changed after. Sure, many people are now more aware of hurricanes and natural disasters, but this hasn't really changed too much. Perhaps if FEMA or W. had actually had some impact because of their fuck ups I might agree. But Katrina was full of human life but it didn't really change anything. With 9/11 you have the EXTREME changes to security, government, ideals and beliefs. Not so with Katrina.
@Shadylikeatree OK Id like to change my Katrina comment to Kanye's "George Bush doesnt care about Black People Speech".....can we get a "Most awkward moments in TV history"???
Again as stated above, Nothing really changed. Sure it's sad that people died and it was a horrific event, but what has changed because of it? I would argue nothing. FEMA still blows, Bush is retarded, the Red Cross is underfunded and understaffed and people in the path of a hurricane still don't get out of the way.
That's a series of moments. While I agree that the Civil Rights movement is important I think that the most important part of that is MLK's death due to what it did.
Instead of Vietnam war i would go with Cold war because the CW was literally right after the WWII and Russia and us were fighting (verbally) over who would "best" influence the world.Russia tried to spread Communism to everywhere.Thats what really sparked Vietnam war anyway.
I separated Vietnam from the whole Cold War because this was a war that the US Lost. (so to speak) In my opinion this was a turning point because the US was no longer invincible.
Yea thats the way i view it. People just say we 'pulled back" we didn't lose . in war theres a winner and loser . NVA deafened their land from incoming attackers and the retreated . so they won.
Excellent video.. But, 20th century....the invention of the television was historical
