Joe wouldn't want ya to sit around and be sad...I don't think. He would want ya to get up off of the couch and enjoy life hard...listen to new music, dance, drink, visit friends, build a bonfire...I think.
The Magnificent Seven is definitely one of the best opening tracks to an album, and Sandinista is certainly one of the best albums of the 80s. 'Washington Bullets' is probably my favourite Clash tune.
Yes and it was great to see how down to earth they were. Joe was an inspiratonal guy, his philosophy of "These are our ideas but its up to you to try to figure things out yourself" was spot-on
Either that or hungover lol, it was my birthday yesterday and I did enjoy it a bit much! I guess I was musing on an exciting time of my life but not in a bad way, I think I've kept my idealism alive pretty well.
R.I.P. Joe, I'm saying, "buh-buh-buh-buh-bye" again.

I love what Mick says about Sandinista, they made it such a big album so that people on oil rigs who didn't get to buy many albums could buy it.
