The reason for that is that people who are intellegent want to Comprehend God they want to know God what he is how is he . When they cant they reject it some accept it. God can not be Comprehended in mind or in sight.

According to a report circulated in the internet, in Indonesia, Christianity gained converts from poor rural areas where the populace are generally illiterate and ignorant while Islam gained converts mostly from urbanized educated populace.. Go figure..

My friend Islam is the fastest spreading religion in the world. The fastest in the UK & US. So by that you mean to say they are less intellectual. If we assume that is the case, then what about the Iraqis and Egyptians.
