It really works. Can flippers can be confused: Continuously jettisoning 1 unit of Velspar to leave behind garbage cans (dang appropriate name) , while mining for your own full shipboard load of any ore, has proven to be a nice payback for can flipper rats as evidenced by the grape vine and personal observation and chat channels.
The game can be confusing for new players because it does not exactly explain much of the important things in the tutorial. Hell a lot of players dont even know how to use the directional scanner and that is one of the best tools available to every player. Some dont even know there is a directional scanner.
I tank 00 bs rats in my hulk... My drones chew them up. If you have really good drone skills those things are like pit bulls. Wanna a funny ship try a Nuet Phobos :) phantasm officer fits ftw !
With multis in my scorp I can jam 3-5 ships I've jammed 3 drakesand one scimtar race works much better though if you got a idea what ur fighting or change fit in vattle near ur zap ships muhahaha

@E23443: You end up in a Pod. if that is destroyed you land in your medical clone...if it is not up to date, you loose one level of your highest skill.
Pray you ponied up for INS (if you can get it some ships aren't allowed such) and then try to get the components you had. Basically if you don't have a spare ship ready to go your out an hour or so for refitting.
depends. lose your ship you get a free noob one. But if you have good skills you can earn the money back a lot quicker. Most people will have a backup ship. Only thing that you cant go into pvp without is a good clone.
yes you have to buy a new one. its a bitch but in the biggining the ships are all cheap so losing them is no big deal and ass you skill up ships get bigger better and more expensive. so its a risky business but its fun. and yeah you will get pissed that someone blew you up once in a while. but its is so much fun blowing someone else up when you know they don't get there ship back nice and easy.

I'm a high security pirate and TBH i have seen my fare share of PVP Hulks and they dont really stand a chance. They are just no fast enough for figates and plus the pirate will most likely have a back up fleet waiting to hot drop you. Good vid though and the Thorax is a noob ;)
and what about the drones? it can fit 5 t2 meds in there, or 10 t2 smalls, and nos's can only take cap provided you have less cap than what your trying to take, by looking at the hulks cap, i'd say the thorax should have more than enough cap to fire off a round or 20. Must of been a terrible pilot to get killed by a hulk, any day.
the thorax was flashing yellow, which means "your being targeted". And drones only need to attack once, so medium t2 drones, once set on a target, will carry on attacking after you've been ECM'd as long as they are in range.
If any of you really think your solo hulk can kill a thorax (or more specifically mine) please visit me in geminate.

Dude. I felt the same way about eve LOST, and after 14 day train, went back to WoW. Got tired of hack N slash, went back to eve, and gave it a go. It's confusing, but let me tell you, once you get a little understanding with catroom help, sit now i'm playing 8-12 hours a day! This game has everything that wow has, luse billions of other reasons to play. It's endless. It even has pitare drug smuggling. I'm only 10 days payee now, and I just can't stop plaing. Give it a chance. you wont regret it
EVE is a complex game, but new players have everything they need to understand it. Simply reading the tutorial and asking questions on the rookie chat will get you started. Furthermore, this game requires patience and calculative thinking. Traits that unfortunately are missing in many other games.
In short, the casual gamer will not find as much interest in EVE than the 'hardcore'. This is a game of consequence. Of opportunity.

its a great game that can be really rewarding if you take some time to get over the initial learning curve...this game is the opposite of a game like WOW. There are huge risk but in return great gameplay. Heck there have been times i could feel my heart beating through my shirt during pvp

For General Info: EVE has 1 "Server"(-cluster) only, with around 400 000 Players Worldwide playing on it, ~40 000 at once due to Timezones.
The Game itself is divided in Regions and Solar Systems, which can be free roamed in, connected via Jump-Gates. In each Solar-System there are "Hot Spots", for Example Asterioid Belts, Space Stations or Moons, which can be warped to.
Id really like some info on this.. is it like wow or WHO where theres servers with thousands of people on it? and what exactly goes on in this game. Info appreciated, thanks
Yes you can free roam. He was just making sure the ship couldn't go anywhere. Of course I'm new so he could have done whatever but you be 100 KM from the enemy and hit him with missiles.

It's harder than most games, but you can learn the basics in a day or two. As you begin to specialize, you'll continue to learn.
Part of what makes EVE so fun is that the more you learn, the more things you discover... And the more you discover about the game, the more you have to learn.
i learnt this game in about 2 days without the tutorial, i joined a corp and they helped and i watched alot of videos which kinda gave me the idea of what some things do.

No Thorax Navy issue exists in game to date. It is a regular Thorax. If you are referring to the Heavy assault Ship 'Demios' which is patterened green and black and uses the Thorax hull, You would be mistaken, for the hulk survived ;)
lol its cool, takes a long time to get into a hulk though and have some half good tank skills. The drones is the longest part to get sorted. I normaly hang at Amarr, my char is called 'NeO TheMiner' look me up for some industrial fun mate ^^

If you look at the hulks midslots, he has a ECM jammer on it, perhaps the thorax just couldn't look on and fire his guns.

No, he didn't get a single jam cycle off...for a few reasons....
First, it was a multispec, with low jam strength.
Two, the Hulk has no jamming bonuses.
Thus, you'll never jam a Thorax with a Hulk...

lmao - Ave Maria was an inspiped soundtrack choice, and great editing as well - reminiscent of the classic Smartbombing Raven vid.

lol its cool, takes a long time to get into a hulk though and have some half good tank skills. The drones is the longest part to get sorted. I normaly hang at Amarr, my char is called 'NeO TheMiner' look me up for some industrial fun mate ^^
