In the mid 90s, for 10 year old kid, grendizer was big thing, establishing the morality, ethics and good vs. evil concept. be a good man and fight for all the good reasons was subconsciously absorbed and processed. now a days with all this junk on tv, i don't see that anymore, its not that i'm getting old but the massage itself is no longer as nobel as those cartoons were.

90% of these cartoons didnt have a lot of accuracy built into them. i think the only one that did was macross/robotech which actually had main characters dying and technology that ripped away from the ship was gone for good and of course ammo running out.

These cartoons were made in early 80s perhaps, when people were stuck to Sesame Street and other kiddy stuff, notice the designs and hair style they hav...everything we hav now..imagine the japs being so forward at a time when people were still in bell bots and thick side locks!!! How is that the new spacers have 100% accuracy when firing and yet the vegans miss. 95% of the time? even in the one encounter that they do hit Koji's new spacer it doesn't do anything. What was the point of having a new advanced vegan sacer if it's no better than the old?

well he did....but mrs gandal convinced him that she should take it...check the earlier episodes...and after she had a change of heart...mr gandal killed her..drove it and lost...but then again i see your point mate..i mean do you remember the episode with the robogorilla and how he managed to rip grendiser's arm!..i thought too back then that the last episode would have a stronger robot..which brings me back to my ultimate question..if grendiser was built by vega..build another!

what was the purpose of that tractor beam as it was dragging grandizer towards that large spike laser gun to collide? it happened anyway and broke??? where was the super vegan robot to at least challenge grandizer and destory those other annoying ships??? what a bad final episode

Grendizer is a cool super robot , but the story line, battel sequences and plots were so poorly done by Go Nagia that it undercuts the whole series. The Series can only be as good as the vegans are, and for the most part the vegans are retarded , attacking with minfo over and over again with the same result 74 times in a row, back stabbing , and stupid attack plans ......just compare this ending with the movie version end of Mazinga Z and into Great Mazinger, it is night & day.

stupidest is that they don't send all their machines/robots at once(at least after they "scouted" the defenses of Earth and the capabilities of Grendizer),there is just 1 robot(+some ships that appear later on) that stands in their way of conquering Earth,so by sending 1 after 1 after 1 robot,etc...makes no sense; but who cares when you are at kindergarden age? XD

That was a weak battle sceen for a final battle Grandizer wasnt even damaged nor were any of the others not very exciting as the Vegans couldnt hit them and when they did their lasers had no effect, stupid. compare to the last Mazinger Z now there a little more drama

Yes, andylie, they almost did. Like Duke and Hikaru, it just wasn't actualized. The characters and stories don't move as producers intend sometimes due to many factors. Never mind any pervert insights. Such was non-existent in makers' mind then. Grendizer was all about loyalty, sacrifice, genuine friendship, brother-sister love and romance btw. man and woman as producers declared so(1975-1976). But to filthy human mind, nothing is pure.
