  • Umm this doesn't prove anything... Don't all Rogers phones wrk with Fido where they own the company...

  • go lie to ur dog buddy!!!

  • hahahahahah SOO STUPID!!! fido and rogers are the same i mean fido is from rogers !!! that phone works with fido and rogers chip!!!!!

  • Of course if you put a Fido Sim in a Rogers phone it'll work, they're the same carrier, there's no unlocking required. Any schmuck can swap out a sim card.

  • ok i tried upgrading my iphone from itunes, but then it gets locked and has a pineapple on it and wont get past the starting screen. so i took it to this guy who fixed it but now i cant upgrade the phone or it will do the same thing again. why is this?

  • free your iphone using''''''bestunlockiphone com''''

    easy, safe and fast method

  • If you have a contract iPhone can you unlock it, and put the aim onto another phone so the iPhone can take any sim. Thank You

  • This video is a good example for why they shouldn't let these retards make videos and title them.

  • this is very stupid!!! where's the info on how to unlock the phone? You should change your title from unlocking iphones to " how to switch sim cards " lol

  • whats the point of this video? there is no info at all... all you did is show how to switch SIM cards, not how to unlock the phone?!?

  • I tried this yesterday.... putting a Fido SIM in a Rogers locked iphone 3G.... didn't work.

  • youre so fukin stupid Rogers owns Fido that is their `value`brand

  • @adikoni You're even stupider. SIM locks are locks from any provider to any provider, even if that second provider is part of the first...try it yourself with a locked phone and you'll figure it out.

  • If i unlock a rogers iphone 3g, will it work with bell mobility?

  • @mariedumpling did you ever unlock it? I have a iphone 3g with Rogers (well an old one) and would like to switch it to Bell.

  • @VampMovie1 I actually did end up unlocking it! I took it to this place that charged me about $20-30 to unlock it. It worked did work. Apparently now you can get a gevey sim card that can unlock your phone automatically without having to go through a long process like I did. Either way It is possible for you to unlock your phone. No worries!

  • @mariedumpling awesome! thanks a bunch for letting me know :)

  • what about for network blocked iphones?

  • does unlocking affect connection bars?

  • I unlocked my iphone 3G using

    unlock-iphone org

it was easy and now i can use my iphone in any carrier

  • you can see how nathan realizes what he said and how he tries to save his ass there

  • fido has the iphone now .

  • i have a 16gb rogers iphone but i m having hard time unlocking it using yellosn0w...can someone plz guide me...thanks

  • download quickpwn. google the how to unlock video on youtube. follow the steps. BE CAREFUL less you brick your phone.

  • Can you unlock your iphone from Fido to Bell Mobility??

  • Bell and Telus use CDMA wireless network technology. Fido and Rogers use GSM. The iPhone is only available with GSM radios. You cannot use a GSM phone on a CDMA network.

  • a did u read the internet latly telus adn bell are going to be on a GSm server in november

  • wait but if the iphone is ONLY available with GSM radio's how come Bell is carying them when they have a CDMA network? I'm just confused that's all, i hope you don't mind clarifying..thnxx

  • Telus Bell recently added a new GSM network to their infrastructure(this fall).

  • @Punchcatface Telus and Bell added a HSPA/UMTS 850/1900 network. Which is not a GSM network. It will work with most frequencies that GSM use but not all. If you want to add a phone from Rogers or Fido it will have to be compatible with the certain frequencies and also be compatible with HSPA+ which most of their phones are, but not a lot of the phones before the iPhone was released.

  • @strker99 Thanks for the info. Are you an iPhone user yourself? Which provider do you use?

  • @Punchcatface Telus and Bell Has now the GSM Technology.

  • wow you guys r pretty stupid to be honest... rogers does not allow ( and this goes for fido aswell ) they do not allow you to use one or the other sim card on the other companys iphone it will not work nor will it ever.. rogers and fido are like cousins they share the same network but have different sim cards for fuck sakes... i work for fido so i would know all of this.. the yellowsn0w program has recently came out for sofyt unlocking iphones to carry any gsm sim card availbale..

  • This is a FACT: people that work for fido or rogers know the LEAST about unlocking, jailbreaking, bricking, soft unlocking, restoring etc... so do yourself a favor Nathan and just keep quiet. I've unlocked countless rogers phones and used them on fido so the fact that you work for fido means that they teach you only fido propaganda.

  • i never said you couldnt use a fido sim in an UNLOCKED rogers phone * copper* learn to read forget your big words and pay attention to what your reading first.... ill say it again..

YOU CAN NOT USE A FIDO SIM IN A NON-UNLOCKED IPHONE WITH ROGERS OR VICE VERSA!!!

  • lolol what an idiot fido is owned buy rogers and they use the same network !!!

  • yea buhh i tryed my dads old blackberry from rogers and my fido ship dosent work on it

  • It is called a sim card unlocker there is a cut in the sim card

  • This a fake.

  • u all dont get it. the reason the phone works for both rogers and fido is because rogers owns fido, therefore u can buy the iphone with either rogers or fido

  • exactly

  • so you dont need to unlock it?

  • no, because you can only use the iphone on rogers or fido network in canada, and nothing else, unless someone else found out how to unlock it

  • k got it. so if i have a rogers activated iphone, i can use it with fido. kthxbai ^^ lol

  • All of you guys are silly don't believe everything people say here on youtube. Having said that I would like to point out a few things that might not be a iPhone 3g since he doesn't have the right sim slot opener and I want you guys to pay extra attention to the video from 33rd second 37th second, what you see here is a hardware method of unlocking ie sim unlock (the whole punch on the top of sim card in order to fit the sim chip on it. You can refer to this link to see how it looks and confirm.

  • Agree!!!! I saw a small punch hold on the top of the FIDO card. That's the hardware unlocking method.

  • it is real, but you need a sim card adapter and chip, i'v seen it myself, did u see the black thing around the sim card, that was the adapter and i think that the chip was on the sim, that is what allowed the I phone to work on a different netwrok or sim.

  • how did u unlock this iphone can i ask i would like to buy one and unlock it with T-Mobile plz let me know if there's a way

  • question do u have to get the iphone from rogers or can u buy one and insert a sim?

  • In Canada, Rogers and Fido are THE SAME NETWORK. Yes, Rogers, OWNS Fido, and the Network ID of Fido, is, as you guessed, Rogers.

The only difference is that the iPhone displays the Network Name as set in the SIM card. i.e. you could set the network name to "Who's your daddy" and that's what will show in the upper left.

  • so it doesnt need to be unlocked?

  • yotin you unlocked the iphone 3g, good job!!!

  • can u tell as where did u get this sim ..?

Did everything include Internet browser and youtube work..?
