1.steve kilby gave me an asian chinpoint nod dec 1990 at belgrave fish and chips.
2.Knowing karma is selling your soul to yourself- therefore pleasing god is OM NAMA SHIVAYA(mantras to honor the self as purest of karma)-THIS SONG ROCKS!!!!(To the hour).
The first album "Jack Frost" was magnificent. Got that in 91. Saw them live a couple of times. of course have seen Steve solo, The Church and Go-Bees also. RIP Grant.
this song the best of Jack Frost in my op. Of Steve Kilbeys solo stuff- "Remindlessness" is my fave. song- elephant god- most sublime; "Gloriana" -out of this world.
Jack Frost is a collaboration between Steve Kilbey of The Church and the late Grant Mclennan of the Go-Betweens,they did 2 awesome albums 'Jack Frost' and 'Snowjob' both excellent,as are Earthed and Unearthed...all good places to start.. :)
Thanks for sharing this... one awesome song ! I like the video of the members but the rest of it...is strange ! Long live Australia's great music and I am Canadian !
Jack frost is project with Grant McLennan. this song is from self-titled debut album. Most of the songs are more sad and ballady - one of my fave album of all time.
kilbey`s solo stuff is excellent ( i would start with "painkiller"). Unnivited like the clouds is not that good (to me...). Get the last one "unintitled #23" and "forget yourself" to start with . The more you listen to them, the more you love them... i personally have never enough of the church :-)

Whats Jack Frost
Have about 15 Church cds, but the only solo I have Church-wise is From the Well
Is Jack Frost a good place to start with Kilbeys solo (I'm assuming its his band?)
or Unearthed?

Is it a touring band, or just does studio work?
Is Kilbeys solo stuff worth checking out? Unearthed good?
also, is Uninvited like the clouds any good?

Uninvited Like the Clouds is amazing. It's epic, upbeat, poppy yet a little experimental. It rocks. One of my fave Church albums.
