For those of you who don't know, in this scene, Crockett and Tubbs are (long story short) heading for almost certain death. That's why Crockett needs to make that call, one last time. This scene just blows everything else completely out of the water. This level of intensity.. I mean, you just don't see this in today's shows/movies. The 80s were the fucking bomb. If I die, I want to be put back in the 80s.
@sagat4 This is the 365 GTS/4 Daytona actually. The Testarossa was introduced in season 3 after this one was destroyed. Actually this is not even a real Daytona, but a Corvette-based kit replica.
@TheARMAProductions i will definitely get the set!!! i think they will maybe because , that whole 80's thing i can't get enough of - the music - the look - the drama - it's really fun i think. that guy jan hammer really does his music sooo good too i agree. thanks for the good words - so many good peeps here commenting on an incredible show! i love that! hugs!
As a Child my Grandma LOVED Miami Vice ... i was to young to understand that .. i always wanted to watch Star Trek on TV .. now she is dead since a couple of years .. and whats happend with me ? I still like Star Trek .. but i fuckin LOVE Miami Vice ... interesting how time changed my mind ..

@xnova5 this is the first episode of the show. They were heading to a drug bust and Crockett called his ex-wife because he didn't think they were gonna make it back alive.
Grande!!!! Grandissimo video per una grandissima serie. Ho 29 anni, e rimpiango questi telefilm epici. Che atmosfera, che musiche e sopratutto che ricordi...
@stevkil7 Change does suck at times for sure and I agree with you on everything else. I guess I am thankful for my Miami Vice DVD collection and being able to sit down with a glass of good wine and remember how good things once were. Those times seemed to go so fast; because they sure didn't last long enough. I am glad I was there and a part of those good times.
This was my favorite series because it represented the heart and soul of the 80s. It really was another world remote from these times; less complicated and more relaxed. The clothes, music, and attitudes of people were so remote from today. If there was one decade to do over in my life; the 80s were it. I feel really sorry for those who couldn't experience it personally; however if you own this series on DVD you well get a good taste of it. I love this car more
Awesome series. I don't care that it's not a real Ferrari, it looked fantastic in this scene. The song really set the mood and the different camera angles on the car showing the street lights was pure genius by Michael Mann. The 80's never looked or sounded cooler than this.
There were 3 great cop shows, Miami Vice, Nash Bridges and Crime Story. They lay the groundwork for all that followed. None lived up to them. Well, maybe Law and Order and Law and Order SVU
I got into Miami last week for a vacation and I stopped to get a drink in a bar and this song was playing, made me want to rent a ferrari and cruise south beach blasting this song !
All of the comments are true treasures. I think that we all relate in one way or the other to Miami Vice. What a wonderful show. Changed the dress style of the world. LOL.
Always loved the song, remember watchinng the series back when it came out. This is a great video, I hope it never gets blocked for copyright or other reasons.
My dad introduced me to this series and I've been hooked ever since. As someone who has studied film, one of the most impressive things about Vice is that it's a TV show but it's filmed like a motion picture. This scene is a perfect example of this!!!!
The 80s were a time when cocaine poured into Miami faster than lightning. Everyone was getting rich fast. Small miami banks were flooded with cash which created super banks, Miami exotic & luxury car lots were selling cars like hot cakes, Miami mansions & country clubs were being built to handle the overflow of new millionaires in the area & everyone from the crooked to square of every race had their hands in the cookie jar which is why hollywood producers created the show Miami Vice
im glad that im not the only one who chooses to spend their evenings in miami...better than tv now...screw jersey shore...its all about miami beach bitches....
Why. Why is it I couldn't experience the 80's? It's an indescribable decade. That was meant in a good way. I love the feeling I get when I listen to the music, watch the film and television, see the style, the world as it was meant to be. I want that feeling to be forever...
I bought the complete series, all 111 episodes for my brother for his 35th birthday. Unfortunately he became addicted, and is now a recovering Miami Vice addict. I believe he has seen all 111 episodes at least 4682 times. He also rants of buying a black Daytona replica and occasionally dresses in a white jacket and pink t shirt, poor boy.
@TheCOB98 i dont know actually, i always liked the white testarossa when i was a kid, but after i have rewatched the entire Miami Vice i gotta say there are something about that black daytona(Chevy underneath) that just feels more right! Dont get me wrong, the Testarossa is awesome aswell
@ChewmeBacon Why wouldn't you wanna buy a black daytona spider and dress like a boss, these were the coolest motherfuckers to ever do it in the 80's. Shows these days are not even half as entertaining or exciting as vice was. It was like watching a 111 hours of scareface.
@ChewmeBacon it´s cool, I´d hope some day have all miami vice series but i don´t know how to do. Say to your brother care all the series ´cause is gold in dust.

Żal mi was. Udajcie sie do stanów pomieszkajcie tam z rok i wtedy pogadamy.
