I don´t like the english version by the 1st female singer, the second cover version sounds better, but none as the french original.

"Capri c´est fini" is The classic song of Hervé Vilard, his landmark,

I don´t get why Salvatore adamo appears in this video.-

Haven't heard a bad version of this song...Love the JANE MORGAN version and then Mr. Vilard's!!!! Lainie Kazan does the song really well...very down to earth.

Et puis que chacun chante cette chanson avec son coeur, ses émotions, à sa façon, qu'importe, surtout qu'Hervé Vilard ce n'est pas juste cette chanson "Capri" il a écrit, et interpréter tant de merveilleuses chansons en 44 ans, et il continuera encore!! Merci à ceux qui reprennent ses chansons!

Hervé Vilard es mucho más que "Capri está terminado", pero esta canción que se ha hecho conocido en todo el mundo, así que gracias a todos los que aún hacen videos con esta canción o los artistas que regresan También esta canción!

Yo no conozco estas canciones que tú mencionas, aquí hay CDs de Hervé Vilard, yo tengo algunos, ellos son compilados (colecciones) de sus temas más conocidos, otro es "Les anges du matin". Cuando yo era chico él visitó nuestro país y actuó en teatros y en Shows TV locales, yo lo recuerdo.

las canciones que estoy hablando son parte de varios álbumes de Hervé, como "señal" que se encuentra en el último "Cri du Coeur" y esas canciones que he citado a menudo se conoce sólo las personas que siguen Hervé Vilard y recoge todos los Top! Es normal que no lo sé! Hervé fue en Chile creo que hace 2 años, pero mientras tanto había un problema de corazón, y ahora tiene que viajar menos! Pero no se olvida del público en América del Sur .

Capri est une ville d'Italie, à côté de Naples, et en français on dit "Capri c'est fini" c'est une chanson française, écrite et composée par Hervé Vilard en 1965, et après elle a été reprise par un grand nombre d'artistes, en France, mais surtout à l'Etranger, en France c'est surtout Serge Lama qui a repris cette chanson mais jamais Salvatore Adamo.

YES!!!YES!!!YESS!!! LAINE KAZAN'S version of this is the graetest of them all!!! I have 2 copy's on 45rpm's. I even have the album which has the flip side[which is the tittle of the LP no less,but it's in mono. I WANT IT IN STEREO!!!! But MGM was to fussy about what they put out in stereo. Capri; Isle just off Napels, (Italy), comes from the latin word capraeae (kaprayay) meaning goats's (isle).

Caprice ; french and means something like a whim.. It's such a french thing that we even use the french word in our language.. Le filles du Paris plein de leurs caprices..

I am very surprised that Jane Morgan didn't have a hit with this song. I've loved it since I was a teenager in the '60's. I love her songs in French, as well.

It wasn't the era for that kind of pop. But you led me to look it up in the new Joel Whitburn book "Across the Charts - the 1960s". For Jane it "Bubbled Under" the top 100 at #121. But on the Adult Contemporary Chart it was #30. For Lainie Kazan it bubbled under at #123 and was AC #29 - her only charted hit.

In 1962 this title also bubbled under for Danny White in the US, but I don't know if it was the same song.

Et il faut se souvenir que lorsque Hervé interprétait cette chanson il avait juste 19 ans, et sa voix a perdu cette fraicheur, mais a gagné en chaleur, en force !!

Et quoiqu'il en soit il est certain que pour moi la version la meilleur de "Capri" c'est Hervé c'est sa création, sa chanson, et il la chante encore à plus de 60 ans, avec une voix bien chaude et forte, et beaucoup d'émotion!! j'aime la tonalité de la voix d'Hervé, et j'admire la voix et le talent des autres

It is not ADAMO who is singing, Hervé Villard is the name of the interpreter as already said by sinhablardeamor, but I know it is not your fault, all the records I have include this song as bein sung by Adamo, which is an evident mistake for those who, like me, know all the inflexions of Adamo's voice.I love his voice and songs since my early childhood and that was long time ago, that's why I am so familiar with his particular voice, a little bit hoarse.
