Look at a distro called Backtrack....Im in school for IT and this will be my OS choice for sure,but for now my school makes me use Windows 7 on my laptop.
At home on my desktop I'm running Mint which is based of of Ubuntu,I like it cause it has all the codecs built in.
Did you download it and install it over a Windows system?
