Goth is a thing of the world, not the Kingdom of Heaven. The same goes for any Earthly style of dress, appearance, decor and lifestyle . Yeah, even the pastor in his suit and tie. What matters is the emphasis that one places on earthly attire, appearance and lifestyle; on all earthly things. Goth, preppy, hipster... whatever. PEOPLE, LISTEN: goth is style, not a religion. i have a few goth friends who have a firm belief in the Christian faith, as do i. i wouldnt consider myself goth, just slightly goth-ish(im more of a metalhead.) Goth was actually a style that the Christian Church actually adopted. Emos and Satanists just have issues. Another interesting fact: the pentagram (star in circle) was actually a Christian symbol. each point of the star was one of the "scars of Christ."

I read The Bible daily and am putting together a Christian Goth Metal band as we speek. The Lord is in my heart. It is surely possible to be Goth and a Christian at the same time. @auinn656 Not in all cases. Depression goes along with being emo, but Christian goths are usually more along the lines of a Christian Misanthropic (the general disliking of mankind). They dislike mankind for the monstrosity it has become, but at the same time believe in God, love him, and don't blame him at all for the sadness in the world (we hold people account for their own decisions). This can come off as scary, misunderstood, pessimistic, and sometimes depressed. It's a common mistake.
