I prefer to steal a Thor in the previous level and use it on this Aracnid Machine.

The Thor machine guns (ballistic weapon) are very affective on the Spider's legs. And You can use Thor's jumpjets to get out of the way of the Spider's slamming move. Anyone else? Come on someone HAS to agree? No? Yes? Whatever. :/

Battletech is one of the longest running sci-fi series with one of the largest universes, I know I like most of the visuals better in mechassault, but the gameplay is seriously different to mechwarrior gmes. This is no longer a mech sim, it's pandered to the generic fps audience and simply...simplified everything. Nothing is complex in mechassault, there's minimal strategy. [/rant]

I'm not going to go on about realism in a mechwarrior game, that's pretty silly. But they have a higher level of beleiveability than mechassault because of all the mechanics behind the game that mechassault just doesn't have.

I usually dodge the first attack by simply run backwards. Then while it's charging the Plasma beam, I just run to the side of the machine. only the missiles are "inevitable" (personally)

actually, i have faced every mission on every difficulty. i even had to hack it to get a new difficulty that i have named "WTF! R U CRAZY?!". in that mode everything moves 5 times as fast, and all weapons are permanently maxed out, and all alphastrikes are infinite for the enemies.

1.keep ur battle armor on

2.bring it to the boss battle

3.latch onto the v-tol that drops the items(salvage)(hold on till u leave the map)

4.u find a bunch of mechs...and u need to hyjack them before u use them.
