"Spaceman stu" Is actually about the song writer's son who loved to play "spaceman", The story goes that his son in an attempt to be like a spaceman strapped a glass bowl over his head and apparently, thinking it was cute the song writer let him keep it on. His son complained about seeing stars and such, thinking it was a game the song writer let it slide by, and thinking he was just taking a nap he let him slip into a coma... His son was dying of asphyxiation from the glass bowl. He died.
