In my opinion, i believe they should have not make the the sequel. But, on the other side, we do find new elements no found in FFXIII. I just didnt feel this plot as much as FF XIII

Just about the only things I'd criticize in this game are the crystarium layout (liked it better in 13), the lack of being able to learn bravery/faith (which would probably SAVE me in certain battles), the "capacity" setting which forbids you from using effective combinations of accessories, and...Noel. He beyond annoys me. :]

I like how this theme was first revealed during one of the gameplay demos when you fight Atlas's arm, and everyone was all like "WTF IS THIS MUSIC!?" But now that the game is actually out and everything, this is one of the catchiest boss themes I've heard in a while XD

Which btw has anyone noticed that the people (Gaming mags and websites) Reviewing XIII-2 Completely missed the story points of the game saying it " Has no storyline that they are just looking for lightning" What about the fact they are trying to make sure Cocoon doesn't crash into the planet and kill everyone?

@windkitsunes Yeah, they really don't give 13 and 13-2 their due credit. I think after not having a new title for so long and expecting something absolutely perfect after lots of delay made people jaded and all the more critical of the smallest faults. There are plenty of other games that deserve harsh criticism for not living up to expectations (I'm looking at you New Vegas), but these games are fantastic. And 13-2 FAR exceeds the sorry excuse of a game 10-2. Shame on all the criticism.

@windkitsunes If anything, the original FF13 had no storyline. Basicly, it goes as follows. Get cursed, fight for revenge, get screwed repeatedly, kill something, sacrifice, end. Follows the generic FF formula to a t, only without the engaging characters, stuggles, and areas to explore. Don't get me wrong, I liked the game, granted only after I made it to Gran Pulse, but this game is an improvment in almost every way.

@windkitsunes I know! As I played to game I felt like more and more they weren't really playing it. What about Snow and his side story, what about Noel's whole story, and Hope's story, and Alyssa's story? The story for this game has so many more elements that just trying to find lighting

@redichi24 most of the people who reviewed the story felt that the game has no storyline because Serah and Noel are looking for Lightning. But if the reviewers had looked deeper into the story and payed more attention to the smaller details, they would notice that this game just adds on to XIII's plot and goes beyond what we all initially imagined. Serah and Noel aren't just trying to find Lightning anymore, they're trying to save the worlds.

I hope everyone notices that SE actually modified a lot of the songs that people complained about in the demo. Hence the reason the Bresha Ruins no longer has rap and the singing in this song was distorted in the English release. Square Enix not only listens, but they listen and change things fast. They put in all this non-linear content in half the time it took them to make FFXIII, and changed the soundtrack in the short space of time between the demo and the official release.

Anyone know why this version sounds different than the demo version? In the demo version the voice is more monotone and distorted, which extremely compliments the techno backing, it sounds amazing...or am I just crazy? o_O
