this may sound stupid, but do you have to set your colours on this camera or is it just auto ? ahah thanks.

@paddyman321 This cam has Auto WB, manual and some programed wb. I prefer to always set it manually and make a color correction in editing program.

i just got this camera, im new to mini dv, but when i am in play back mode watching my videos, there is no sound? is it supposed to be like that untill i transfer to computer? also how do you delete footage from this mini dv camera? i cant figure it out. thanks

@knine1195678 just move zooming button to right to make sound louder. There is no way to delete footage just film new on old.

This is one of the best non-proffesional miniDV camcoders. But if you want HDv - hv30

but hv20 is much cheaper than hv30 and the picture quality is same. So

Hi there i have been looking at this camera for short film projects. Can i ask fro some advice? Does it have manual focus? and the is it like in low light?

Yes, it has manual focus, you can change it with fucus ring. But if you want to fucus like on SLR, you should buy/make 35mm DOF adapter. In low light all 3ccd cameras shoots better than 1ccd's. This camera is good for short films if you don't need a HD.
