wow it must be hard being a drummer, if u think about it they have to keep the beat with every thing, just look at the bass drum in the whole video to SEE what i mean
hey i own a roland myself and i was wondering what you did to go about getting your drum kit onto your computer. i dabbled in recording software but wondered if there was an easier route or program you might use. good drumming too by the way. keep it up.
@odielicious24 Via MIDI? You tried plugging it into a sound card etc connected to the computer then re-wire it to a programme? this is how i connect key boards to computer, may work the same with this, perhaps.
Brilliant :-) I hope one day I will be good enough to play that (only been playing 2 months so got a long way to go). Do you know if the music is available anywhere?
Awesome cover, man. Can I ask....see at the start, are you alternating between the base and the high hat continuinly, or are you playing them both at the same time? Just asking because I have conflicting sheet music, and it's hard to tell what you're doing from the vid!
@homequestliberation im a drummer and ive bin playing since before i could walk and i find that drumming should come naturally and that you should feel what you play:) however it would be easy to google " Muse Map of the problematique:)
I have a question, i just bought a Td-12 and this is totally new for me so i would like to know how did you do this, i mean, did you import the song in your brain? how does it works? I would like to know how can i play with a song playing in my headphone + earring the drums in the same time. Thanks!!
i understand u hit the bass drum on every beat except for the part around the 3:00 min were every second time u do something really fast with ur bass drum! It sounds like u have a double bass petal but i dont see one! can u explain somehow what u do there?
awesome cover!!! really!!! but are you actually lefty or righty? :)
nice drum set by the way, I have the td9 with the same hi-hat, but mine doesn't sound so well, I guess you have more and better samples on the td12 as I do.
his drum are set up like a rightie. (hi hat on left and his fills are from left to right and he is using his right foot on bass) But i could be wrong, but open handed as in when using hi hat and snare, instead of crossing your hands like normal, he keeps his arms open using his left for the hi hat and right on snare. if that makes sense.
AWESOME COVER! hows the hihat on the td12? whats the drum on the left of the hihat? also, HOW did you get that camera angle? is the td12 worth my hard earned money?
3:25 - 4:11 u are holding the stick a very ocward way which i like dont get me wrong. but u are combining that drum on the left of u under the control key and doing some really cool with the high hat and that drum at the same time please let me know itssss realllyy cool
Hi there, I built a platform (search tennis ball impact platform on google) to reduce the vibrations under the floor, I put rug grip then carpet on top of it, and stapled it all down. If you don't build a platform maybe just try rug grip and some carpet/a drum mat..?
Hey there, I didn't use tabs or anything, just listened to the track a few times and played along to it...! So i'm afraid I can't send you any, sorry :(
@movisman U should remove the flams that u are doing if you're planning on sticking with the original, also after every fill u do ur going to the I think Crash? don't do that ;)
@Cessnaonfloats hey man if your looking for tabs just type it in on google your bound to get them that how i got the hang of the song finding tabs on google is really easy man check it out .....
Dude, great cover. But the intro is different, its played on floor tom with accents and the fills alternate, only every second fill is like you play it.
Awesome cover. Quick question, what program do you use to record and mix your e-drums? I have an alesis electronic kit and would like to do some cover videos myself but I'm completely new to the amateur recording scene.
No worries. I simply used Audacity (free) to record the e-drums, I literally took the master out from the TD-12 to the line in on my PC to capture the sound.
Then I used some standard Logitech s/w which came bundled with my webcam to capture the video - then sync'ed the two in Windows Movie Maker.
There's probably more advanced ways of doing it, but this works for me! :)
only thing i would say is that through out the whole song (apart from the snare lick) the kick drum is on 1,2,3 and 4. like i said, apart from that, bang up job

Thought i'd give it a slightly different flavour, although it ended up sounding more like the version on Muse's HAARP DVD...!
Sweet, well the way you played it still sounded good :]
Question: Why don't you set up your kit in a left-handed way? All credit to you for going round the toms though, i find it hard to do it the wrong way!
Hi again - the reason the kit is set up the right handed way is because i'm right footed :O)
If I set up the kit the other way round i'd need to lead the bass drum with my left foot, which is not natural for me. Hence the open-handed technique!
