Chernobyl (and military use of depleted uranium in Iraq) is causing deformity and devastating ongoing illness... 900,000 DEATHS WORDWIDE...not 4000!
Look it up!! Big money is involved. The NRC doesn't even mention these ill and deformed. See Chernobyl's children right here on youtube The SUN and WIND would provide millions of jobs. Simple conservation efforts would change our energy needs radically. Terrorists would just love you Do you own or work in this plant?
Same here. Grew up terrified of "The Russians" nuking us due to all the made for TV movies showing kids bleeding to death through their ass and hair falling off people after nuclear war and was scared of anything nuclear.
Then I grew up, and became fascinated with nuclear and learned a lot about it, such as the industrialized country with the cleanest air gets over 80% of their power from nuclear, and they never had a 3-mile or Chernobyl. Holy croissant!
Ball Sphere solar panels :capture and allow for more direct surface area panel exposed for sun light to penetrate unto. Light rays can hit all day with no need for moving panels around for better direct focus of light. Maximum light surface area on a solar sphere of solar panels are just more productive.
The plant had a capacity over 1000 times the solar capacity before the reactor was decomissioned. The return on solar cells is so poor that it's unclear whether they can ever recoop the energy used to manufacture them.
Also the "powers X number of homes" stuff is completely meaningless. A home's energy needs vary a lot and residential is <1/3 of power use.
