Certainly is an entertaining video. So now we get to whether or not Jack and Beckett have something going on..It is possible that, at one time, they did. When Barbosa stranded Jack on an island, he was rescued by Beckett (East India Trading Company.)However, considering Beckett's stand on pirates in this particular movie, I'd say they had a very big falling out.Probably over Beckett's policies.According to an interview with Mr. Depp, Jack has a problem with people who commit terrible acts.

@celticblend However, Disney hasn't prevented the 'allusion' to Jack swinging both ways. He's made flirty faces at both male and female.. and goats, and if Dead Man's Chest is any indicator, it doesn't matter if they're alive or walking dead, so long as they're animated at the time. But eventually, he goes off on his own, so I'm thinking he doesn't work very well with others, and any relationship is doomed to fail. ;)

Hey, at least you went to the trouble of explaining that whole thing about the marks they left on each other! They sort of let that story slide by. They explained every other little detail in the trilogy except that one! Obviously the P on Jack's arm, but what the hell did he do to Beckett? they NEVER said!!!

Actually, apparently they were his wives ^_^ In the writer's/director's commentary you're supposed to notice a sign over the door they stand under saying "buy a wife" - or maybe they decided to change lifestyle. Anyway they do dress kind of slutty. Although I didn't think they were technically prostitutes, just went around a lot - you know, Tortuga and all.

You know, I am far from a slash fan. I'm not against gay pairing, but I hate it when people suggest there's something between 2 straight characters when the notion is completely disjointed from the actual plot.

But I must agree with you, there WAS something strange between these two. Maybe not Jack, but it seemed to me that Beckett always had this resentful, almost hurt look in his eyes whenever he looks at him. Like he holds a grudge for something - you know, that mark that Jack left.
