Mmm they didn't rewrite the script, Its still Ted Woosley's script in the PSX version, just its less censored. They only touched it up, but its the same exact US script.

I woulda liked this game much better if instead of sprites it was full characters like VII or VIII other than the Cutscenes and some minor improvements it's not really noticeable as a remake, so I just stick with the GBA version. It just baffles me how they could add the cutscenes, but couldnt make the characters full models?

i likeed how th opening scene the robots look like what the orginal concept art had in mind for them...... i alway found funny how the original art, and the cool logo ya see on the later release, has bad ass robot but the game, had to make do with less sleek ED209 jobs

it was different again in europe... FF6 was a standalone. and the other games. i think was chronicles had FF5 & chrono trigger and anthology had 4 and soming or somin like that.

also FF6 was released before the others, so they literallycame in reverse order.

it was game on its own, unlike FF 5 ,4 ,3 that they released in compelations back then/ FF6 PSX release was one disc (ignoring the demo disc) in the standard hard case like all over playstaion games, with cover that fitted in with FF7-9

No. Advent Children is a sequel to Final Fantasy VII (first FF on PS). This is the Playstation port of Final Fantasy VI, originally released as Final Fantasy 3 for the SNES.

I don't think the PSX version was ever released over here (UK), which is a shame. Although, I prefer the Anthology version we got (IV and V) since I like those two better. Call me biased, if you must but I grew up playing them and only played VI earlier this year for the first time ever.

Lol nothing wrong with Preference, the Final Fantasy you grow up with tends to be your favorite due to the sheer sentimental value in most cases, like I said in this vid, FF3 (us) was the first one I ever played, FF3(us) = FFVI soo ya lol thank god FFAnthology set the records straight =)

its not really the same though imo I prefer the Ps1 remake my self because the game feels more authentic that way. its an official translation of the japanese version. (no edited sprites either) plus the story was touched up a bit so some of the grapical errors and weird censors are gone "SNES Atmaweapon says "Feeble creatures GO!" but in the PSX version he says "Feeble creatures DIE!" the load times don't really bother me so.. ya :)

ya I hear ya, thats what I like about Final Fantasy, ya its linear, but not TOO linear. you have certain freedoms to how you progress :) Squaresoft is really good about that if you look at their other titles like Chrono Trigger

I've been following HCBailly's FF4 LP, and it kinda got me thinking about trying to do one of this game, but I see ya beat me to it! Which is actually a relief, 'cause I haven't played this game in years and barely remember a thing about it aside from it being one of the greatest video games I ever played. well, they didn't actually add the cutscenes into the game itself, its bonus material you can unlock after beating the game. but I do intend to make a "special edition" showing all the bonuses after I finish the game for ya :)

oh man, I'm embarrased to say that I have this game yet I havent finished it yet. I love it, its really good, but this one time that I got totally stuck in that dude ya gotta do this quick combo thing, I gave it up, and to this day I havent tried again and see if I can do it, but one of these days ill do it!!!
