  • nice rig, is that case build by you or just buy from somewhere

  • is the xtreme rev 2 good enough for 4 ghz?

  • what ram do you use?

  • What programs where you useing?

  • Comment removed

  • is it normal that not all fans starts before it posts, becouse i got that mobo and only 2 of my case fans, and gfx/cpu/psu fans starts, and and just a little before the MSI Bios splash screen comes, then the other fans starts is that normal?

  • You don't need that much CPU voltage to hit 4.0GHz with HT Off.

  • @KakimotoRift Core i5 doesn't have HT

  • ive got mine oc to 3.2 ghz from 2.6 running intel i5 procesor gigabyte p55m-ud2 mb and aero cool DCC--C900 and when im on 3.2ghz it runs round 80degrees celcius on 100% load i didnt think this was safe so i put it back to 3.0

  • i have the same processor and mobo, had all the same settings in the video and my comp didnt boot up.

  • Which CPU Cooler do you have?

  • @SimsAustria Arctic-Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2

  • please help, overclocked mine to 3.8ghz with basic cooling fan and cooler master case, temp idle at 50-60 and when put to stress with games such as.. say crysis warhead it goes up around 70, is this safe? shuld i continue? gpu temp was around 60, 45 at idle

  • @spongeprince123 Not worth going over 3.8.

  • @spongeprince123

Your cpu temperature shouldn't really go over the (maximum of) 72 degrees.

When you have a Scythe mugen or some other good cpu coolers your CPU won't get very warm so you can overclock it further;)

    Hope that helps

  • @spongeprince123 um dude 70-80 is fine just dont get any higher than that and also get a better heat sink it will take off 10-15C off.

  • he means when you hit the OC button its 3.2GHz.

You just hit the OC Genie button and it overclocks a i5 750 to 3.2.

    I have the GD85 board

  • @tt2ent weird mine goes to 3.4 with the gd65?

  • @R08M mine's too but it is a i7 860 from 2.8 to 3.4

  • 3.4ghz is the recommended clock speed after overclocking by Tom's Hardware.

  • well intel core i5 is what 3.2ghz stock i am a novice a o/c so i don't o/c i tried i o/c 3% i went from 3.2.0ghz to 3.2.8 ghz just by 1 more multiplier why do you overclock it runs fast like i run crysis maxed out no lag at all

  • @MrPcmaker it 2.6 stock.

  • mine was 3.2ghz stock

  • If you no how to overclock which is easy by the way why the fuck would you not overclock??

  • i dont know how to o/c

  • I also gonna get a i5 with the p55 gd65 but what cooler you use fore the i5 ?? I orded hyper cooler 212 plus can i reach 4ghz ??

  • With some work you should be able to hit 4Ghz, i have the exact same board with an i5 also & mines stable at 3.7Ghz which is what i'm personally happy with. Just make sure you update the BIOS on that board to at least veriosn 1.5 because i had issues until i updated it

  • @Jorgie0101 you have the cooler that is delivert with the i5?? And is the oc genie something ??

  • No way, that heatsink is garbage... its so, so tiny! I'm using a Zalman 9500LED with a 1156 back plate becaue i have a mid tower case so all the big coolers wouldnt fit. Yes i'm using OC genie

  • The CM 213 Hyper+ Is a pretty good cooler. But don't forget to get good thermal paste as well (Some call it TIM). An old reliable is Arctic Silver 5, but there are newer and better pastes that cost a little more. When I was OCing my older Q8200 I used the CM212H+ and it kept it at 60 C with a 650 Mhz OC and kept my Phenom II OC at 38 Celcius with a 700 Mhz OC. So it's well worth the $30 price tag. Also using 2 120MM fans works wonders on the system as well.

  • when get an i5 when u could get an i7? you only live once bro

  • What cooler you using?:) I want to try get my CPU at 4ghz. was it stable for a good while?

  • Arctic-Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2

  • mam identtyczny sprzet.

Mam nadzieje ze tak samo bedzie sie krecił

  • xD same sys and monitor ^^t220hd right?

  • song name =)?/pls

  • which is better p55a-ud3 or this?

  • At a glance ther are very similer. It all depends on what you nead and your personal prefrences. I have the gd65 and I love it. I would definitly recamend it.

  • well wat are the main differences apart from usb3.0 sata3 and oc genie? actuly i should probably just research it lol.

  • They are both nice but when ver.3 devises come out they are going to be expencive so they don't help much. If you are new to overclocking then the OCgenie nice.

  • Personally I trust gigabyte's P55a-UD3 (Which I run on my i5 750) and it overclocks pretty well. I have had some bad run in's with MSI equipment in the past and could not recommend any of their products to anyone. But if you like it, or MSI in general more power to you! But as for me, I dislike them. Also do your homework and avoid anything with a first generation 1156 Foxconn socket aka the burner. Those CPU's with extreme OC's (over 5 Ghz and 1.6V's). Good luck! OC Geenie is for noobs.

  • I meant to say those first gen 1156 Foxconn's toast i5's and i7's alike. But only in extreme situations like over 5 Ghz and 1.6V's going through it. It might have been a badly designed or built retention bracket. The LOTES brackets seemed to have cured the issue (Gigabyte's P55A-UD3 does have the LOTES bracket and thus far no reports of fried CPU's even with the Foxconn socket.) I can't speak as for what MSI was/is using.

  • thanks! i guess its p55a then! i have als heard reports of socket burn for average non oc users on the first gen. so yeah second gen it is.

  • what for a cooling are you using?

  • i got to something from these video simple overclocking tutorial and good benchmarks 5/5.

  • nice what was your highest temperature

  • Great overclock man! Keep up the great work.

  • what is the second thing down. not the optical drive but the thing that look like it has nobs. what is it and whos it made by? thx

  • Fan controller, can't tell who its made by from the video, but looks like a Thermaltake one. Check it out on newegg

  • Nice overclocks mate! Keep it up
