  • @osOsito9994 running, jump rope, QM, and climbing are all great forms of cardio for parkour.

  • We do that in my Kung Fu class, its part of the Monkey system, really works on the legs like you wouldn't believe

  • @ananimux: doing it this way is simple to pick up, and safer. If he falls like this a roll isn't that hard to pull off. He could most likely pull his head and arm in and roll over his shoulder. If you land incorrectly on your hands you'll probably face plant. This also allows controlled movement, since he'd have no issue coming to a sudden halt rather than trying to control his momentum from such aggressive motions if he needs to suddenly stop.

  • Nice loping. That's the way to do it. Turn a little sideways. You should rig up some gloves or wear karate gloves. How fast can you run 100 yards? I did it in 27 seconds.

  • i can do this twice as fast without looking like a crab. when i do the quadrupedal sprint, i basically run like a cat by jumping with my legs and landing on my hands and so on. its much faster.

  • @Ananimux I know what you mean, that's the way I do it aswell, but I put one hand down first then the other, otherwise it'll be like a bunnyhop. More of a gallop, but still hand - hand - foot - foot, like you said. Much faster

    At least, that's what I feel happening when I try to do it straight on.

  • what hurts and how does it hurt it? if it hurts, i would say you are doing it wrong. your problem may be that you are rounding your back too much. notice the straight back in this video.

  • @DemonDrills yeah ok but how the hell r u supposed to tell if ur back is straight? u cant just turn and look at ur back that would mess it up! i used to run on all fours a few years just cuz i was crazy 8D but i would get tired and hurt after like 10 seconds maybe cuz im so outta shape...
