Any1 here can explain to me how to apply the license? Does it mean I have to send the Creative Commons something about whatever I want to apply the license? or do I just put a Creative Commons stamp on the material?
@longyingtan If you are the original creator of the work you simply apply a creative commons license by "stamping" it as you say. Look at the creative commons link in the description of this video for more answers and also on Wikipedia.
We have started a few days ago with a youtube channel of electronic music designed for creative commons amateur producers.
The idea is that people put their projects in the channel and others can use them at any level, projects can be mixed or re-edited by others, by this way you can learn about what you do well and what we need to improve.
If you make electronic music and you want to teach or learn something, please take a look to our channel!
What about the music that YouTube has listed when you upload your vids? There is a section under edit where you can add music. Is this considered copyright? If so, why the heck do they even have it on there?! LOL
@DahliaGraceland Great question ;p~ I went to check that out and there are major artists with record labels there as well. I'm fairly certain that YouTube won't flag you for these as they have offered them up for "personal" videos. However, I wouldn't even take the chance as some of those songs are still under major labels and your still a target by the big wig corporates. Using those songs for videos if you become partnered or for revenue sharing would be subject to copyright issues. Peace =)~
