  • @nerdOland Thanks for the comment -- all good points. I've gotten much better about these things in my new videos but my older ones seem to get all the views. Go figure, right?

  • work on the singing...

  • Great cover man! You should check out my channel

  • Try putting the Capo on the neck where it carries your tone not someone else's like Oasis...his voice is capo 2 ... mine is capo one you should try maybe a different tuning even like e flat or standard

  • @stevanstreet Thanks for the comment. I've actually changed the key on some of my newer covers (Stolen by Dashboard Confessional is tuned down a full step), but I just never thought to do it with Wonderwall. I'll give it a try -- should be fun!

  • check out my cover of wonderwall

  • Not bad, but I'd have a tip for the strumming: try to keep the wrist more relaxed and more loose. That will help you to use the upstrokes more effectively and create more complex and fluent rhythm. The movement should be coming more from the wrist, not so much from the elbow. At least to me your wrist looks a bit stiff here. Keep on strumming!

  • @jarvii Thanks for the feedback -- definitely some good points! I've been working on my right hand techniques to try to fix these things. What do you think of my newer stuff? Am I moving in the right direction? Any advice based on where I am now?

  • @MagnusMusician I watched your other videos and I definitely noticed improvement. The timing was getting better and that wrist wasn't as stiff as it is in this video. The fingerpicking especially was very good. However, I noticed something concerning the strumming. You should try and keep the movement of the right hand more steady, ie. it should work almost as a metronome. (continues)

  • @jarvii (continues) Try and wave that hand across the strings regularly and create the rhythm by skipping the hits on the strings, instead of moving the hand only when you hit the strings, if you know what I mean. So let the hand move back and forth along the rhythm even if you don't even touch the strings every time.

  • @jarvii (continues) That way it'll be much easier to maintain the tempo and create rhythms. It comes crucial especially in faster songs like Wonderwall here. I hope you understand what I'm trying to tell.

Btw, how long have you been playing?

  • ok again with no feeling and its alittle choppy i dont mean to b picky but i really like this song and perform it out live you gotta fuckin jam this one bud! keep workin at it i do have to say i like ur taste of music at least!

  • @guitar20player4life Thanks for commenting -- I really appreciate the feedback. This was my first post ever and I've definitely been trying to work on my energy and my timing. What did you think of some of my newer stuff? I'm sure I've got a long way to go, but I think I'm at least moving in the right direction. This is one of my favorite songs, so I'll probably get around to posting a new version someday...
