The only bad thing I can say about this is the mix sinks the vocals a bit. This is some good stuff. It isn't quite Waits, but covers should add something to the song they cover. I think this is excellent.

This is an incredible cover and I don't care that it doesn#t erupt with the Waits chorus, because cover versions should be different or better, or there is no point to them. I think that Tom would likr this a lot because of the use of the Ukulele. Well Done

It's not bad, but what I like about the Waits version so much is that there is really an eruption when the chorus begins - not in your version. But it's definately not bad!

normally i don't like vocalists who try to sound like someone else, but how good this sounds leads me to suspect you may just have a similiar voice to waits.

I think this will remain my one and only vocal experiment for exactly the same reasons you mentioned above.

The voice is a bit fake ( whispering very low, close to the mike ), and I just gave it a try, because I liked the basic track, but had nobody to sing over it.

I absolutely dont feel like a singer at all, haha...

well, I wouldn't have got as much out of life if you'd 'experimented' with ukulele then stopped because you hadn't immediately found your voice. even if this where your thousandth vocal track, I'd still say this is pretty honestly performed (especially on second listen).
