  • this road used to be great in the quiet early hours of the morning when no one else was around. now it's shit with average speed cameras.

  • 12/04/09 - either someone put the date in wrong or this cop has been time travelling!

  • @Dendiol Well spotted, date changes to 1993 later..........

  • I love riding this road... Did it 4 times in one day.. gorgeous

  • man the early 90,s was shit

  • @mrpipshit1 - It may have been,BUT there were no GATSO cameras, Average speed cameras, roadside cctv, Road Safety Partnerships. The Cat and Fiddle used to be 60 mph and not 50 mph as it is now.....

  • @advancedbiker fair point you have there. i take back my earlyer statement lol

  • @advancedbiker What a surveillance society the UK is now. George Orwell would be turning in his grave.

  • your average uk bike cop will make mincemeat out of 98% of the sunny sunday afternoon crew.rc30 on the wrong side of the road ha ha ha,probably thought he was the next valentino rossi ha ha.cop on bmw just plods along behind

  • that cop on the bike is a legend

  • the cops r wankers when it comes to ue bikers they push us to race and soon has we do they stop us the should stop that

  • in the west coast of scotland they got r1s and the new bmw s1000rr! :|

  • The police should be arresting child molesters, murderers, rapists, crack cocaine dealers, heroin dealers, violent criminals but lets face it the police target motorcyclists because we are an easy source of income for them. They should catch real criminals...

  • @ArlenNess2 Yeah but when a motorcycle hits a cara kills a family due to the speed....??

  • When was this "1973" ???

  • LOL unmarked police bike? Its the same model with different paint. And who'd take that to the TT? Stupid cops.

  • @fryster123 We had an umarked Police Bmw motorycle in Staffordshire in the 1980's sprayed all black......They forgotone thing, take off the Police badges which showed through as outlines on the fairing and panniers.

  • @advancedbiker Haha. They're just full of bright ideas!

  • I've been a mechanic all my working life, and have worked with all sorts of people. I've known blokes with huge "Snap On" toolsets that couldn't repair a roller skate. I've also known blokes with the old oil tempered (black) spanners that could repair anything. It's not what you've got, it's what you can do with it. Yes; you can have a dogs bollocks bike, and the fancy leathers, and lid, but the only reason that prick was taking the turns wide, was because he can't ride a bike for shit.

  • Not trying to be pedantic but the rule for double white lines is:

    "129

Double white lines where the line nearest you is solid. This means you MUST NOT cross or straddle it unless it is safe and you need to enter adjoining premises or a side road. You may cross the line if necessary, provided the road is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10 mph or less."

Doesn't mean no overtaking inside of the line.

  • ah the early 90s,old zxrs ,fzrs, etc when men were men and the police were men too not like today and when leathers looked like tracksuits in a secondhand shop and helmets you could smoke in,hmmm im going out to clean the carbs on my old zxr h model and looking for a old german flying brick to race coz that cop could sure drive that yoke, thumbs up if you be embarresed to be caught by that!!

  • @mad4tarmac You forgot the fishermens socks.....

  • @advancedbiker off course mate!!!!and freddy mercury tashes!!!!!

  • mars red mk1 polo at the start?

  • i love the cat and the fiddle, a couple of years back me and my dad went to pick up a mx bike (using a van) we used the vauxhall movano long wheelbase (19 feet long) but it was snowing icy and bordering on freezing rain and it was one of the scariest experiences of my life the views across the snowy countryside was spectacular only slightly ruined my the slippyness of the road and in some places no guardrail, in parts the road was so skinny and the rear wheels were sliding about utterly amazing.

  • i agree you should be able to do what you want to do when you want to do it, BUT here are a few examples when what you do affects no only you.

    kill yourself COOL

kill yourself and injure another person NOT COOL

ride like a motherfucker on a private road COOL

ride like a motherfucker in a public road NOT COOL

  • loving the cheesey 90's music

  • Yeah yeah... we are all gonna die some day just some of us wilst sat in their own piss and shit with no idea whats going on!

AND SOME WITH A SMILE ON ARE FACE'S........

  • Is it just me, or at 4:28 is the police biker travelling way to close to the back of the lorry? There's no need to be that close, hang back, out wide so the driver can see you and wait, gives you a far superior view of the road ahead too.

  • leave the people alone.. you should be free to do what you wanna do when you wanna do it... FUK THE POLICE WITH THERE GREY APROACH TO THE WORLD!

i ride on the road like a fukin loon some times HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

  • @shovelheadmonster

yes, and if you continue to drive like a loon you'll not be in a prison cell, but 6ft under.

  • Yeah, it *is* a game... The cops want our money and we don't want to supplement their donut fund...

  • yawn,,, gayy

  • My american instincts make me FREAK THE FUCK OUT everytime I see a car coming in the wrong lane haha

  • now we know the road name a537 ;)

  • They don't write tickets?

  • they need a gopro

  • I love the VHS!!!

  • HARSH

  • fuck this, honestly, most damage a person on a bike with do and dent a damn car, chances of killing someone on a motorcycle is unlikely, cops trip way too much.

  • @SI1SHAD I have to agree and I'm just a slow cruiser type of rider... Too many broken bones in my younger days when I thought I was invulnerable to make me even think about riding that way these days... Still, I don't really have a problem with these young kids doing this since it is just Darwinism in action... They'll either get good at their riding, learn from their mistakes, or die in the process... Whatever happens, the problem gets solved with minimal government expenditure...

  • I live there :)

  • @goldenballoon1 - Have they got rid of the yellow things.....Called average speed cameras, that have never been switched on ?

  • @advancedbiker they actually have been switched on recently. and they do work. they seem to have ironed out the problems they had with them,,,but seriously folks, they are now WORKING. BE WARNED.

  • @advancedbiker I live locally to, they do have those.

  • 7:17 i hate when none bikers assume that the bikes speed and the rider were at fault in an accident. Its like saying "look at that black guy lying shot dead in the road, this must have been a gang shooting" BIKERS ARE NOT ALL CRIMINALS

  • @ 2.49 .... man thats one hell of a haircut !

  • this was my favourite road for years. used to go thereall the time. had too many near misses and thought one day my luck will run out. that and seeing too many others have serious crashes.i also have 2 kids to think about. so i gave up road riding last year and bought a track bike. miles better than risking it all on the road, and you can go alot faster!

  • A solid white line is there for vehicles that would not have a chance to accelerate fat enough for an overtake. Some bikes have that ability, and therefore seize the opportunity to overtake, with no risk, cause they are back in the correct lane in time.

  • @ZX9Powa You are the definition of FAIL.

  • @1098kicksass Pfff...

  • @ZX9Powa Pfff off and kill yourself if you wish.

  • @droceretik ...master of the obvious, that IS my prerogative. Thanks for pointing it out, sherlock.

  • @droceretik ...same to you sherlock, same to you.

  • How funny is it when old mate is loading up the video tape? Classic.

  • hahaha just look out for the giant camera on the front

  • why not just stick bumps in the road or some object causing people to have to slow down in sections apart from each other? or is the road so long it would cost to much? surely theres goto be something, mind you if i ever get my hands on a bike good enough to take there, i probably would lol

  • @CarpMagic95 - Ah well they have spent around £850,000 installing average speed cameras along the road. Problem is they forgot about a short cut on the route, making the average speed higher than they actually are. They have never been switched on.

  • @advancedbiker thanks for tell them

  • @advancedbiker thanks for telling them

  • @advancedbiker educated people were actually paid big ££££££ to research them camera's..... fuckwits...

BUT.... ya cant have 11 bikers dying in a year on one stretch of road... just not on..!

  • @CarpMagic95 Why not just use gravel? lol!!

  • Smiley face on belt buckle adds AT LEAST 100hp.

  • 5:43 biker uses caution, proof of responsibility. Gov is corrupt and wants your money period.

  • more bullshit in this video than a farmers field............

  • So douchebag cops get to break the law in a non-emergency situation... They are no better than the tardsticks making the rest of us motorcyclists look like assholes.

  • "All they're doing is getting to their destination seconds earlier".

Distinct lack of understanding by the officer.

  • Great vid, but typical of the misunderstanding plod has of motorbikes... the one in the car says he can't believe the risks they take just to get to their destination a bit sooner. So he obviously doesn't understand the first thing about why motorcylists are....

  • I use the A537 as a "race track" all the time.

Never been caught by the flat foots yet,,,,,,,,,,never will be.

I hate the nanny state,,,,,,,if I want to race I'll race and f**k the police.

  • @duckgeezer you won't be missed when you're roadkill

  • @Jambozal are you gay?

  • @Jambozal none of your business pal,,,,,,,,,,,,stick to your scooter

  • @duckgeezer yeah i'm obviously gay, all the safe motorcyclists ride scooters... or maybe VFRs, either way, I must be gay!

  • @duckgeezer A fking men to that bro

  • epic music!

  • I love this they need to make it a reality series. I'd watch and record every episode

  • All about Quotas and Money these days....

  • Awesome bikes then! The thing is that in the uk now, the type of bikers with the most accidents and deaths are the born again bikers in thier 40s. Changed a bit. I still gotta take it easy though!

  • God bless the UK police they are very fair, this may save a LOT of young lives i have ridden m/c for 50 safe years and have always enjoyed my bike.

  • If I had a fast car (actually I had one), or a bike, I would speed no matter what! I won't give a shit about the police, the people, the innocent.. I just will do the speeding rationally.. and I really don't think there is anything wrong in that!

  • why the police officers always ride BMW motorcycles

  • hoorah for idiotic riding

  • british people look funny, idk what it is. To me they just look funny.

  • This is not SO long ago - but almost looks like the Golden Age in comparison to the ridiculous totalitarian state growing around us daily. It's all so black & white; the "system" says it will exactly define behaviour to the finest detail, and use every electronic method to enforce it without question.

Except the rules now barely reflect what much of the population want. Pathetically low speed limits, bumps, chicanes, traffic lights everywhere... everything to deliberately HINDER progress.

  • @CodeTwo2 Ah but now the so called Road SAFETY partnership have installed average speed cameras along this stretch of road at a cost of £800,000. They are are claiming that road incidents have reduced, just because of them. They can not be switched on because they forgot about the the short cut, which would give false speed readings.....

  • @advancedbiker Really? I haven't been there for some time. The political angle of that claim doesn't surprise me though.

  • Dam right, if you cant lose a BMW rs you really shouldnt be riding at speed :-)

  • TAHT GIRL ARE HOT HAHAHAH

  • MAD MAX 4 AHAHAHAHAH

  • haha that guy "am i getting done" repeated twice haha thats all he cares about the twazock :)

  • Man, that second douche bag couldn't even stay in his own lane to make the turns in the road!! If you aren't skillful enough of a rider to stay in your lane when turning - don't get on the bike to begin with!

  • that idiot power ranger needs to learn how to take corners without going in the oncoming lane.

  • @GOBbluthagain Yup, the bends are the point of riding after all. Why straighten them out???

  • Good Video, The comments are right, There is definitely a more cold approach, In the way in which the police deal with road users, compared to the 90`s

  • Fuck the police.

  • the police take the fun out of everything.

  • 5:48 nice job :))) when he tried to overtake

  • 2:40 are they police issued wigs or what ???

  • The Cat and Fiddle road now has average speed cameras on now. Thank fuck, I'm a bus driver and a bloke i work with ended up having a head on crash on that road with a biker, the biker died and my mate still has nightmares. I say fuck anyone who takes risks on public roads.

  • 2:49 is the best comb-over you will see on You Tube!

  • For a second there I was like OH SHIT HE'S ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD! Then I realized he wasn't in America haha.

  • That guy in the red and white, regardless of his law breaking...he was just a terrible rider, braking far too hard for corners when he didn't need to, terrible lines he was taking getting no lean on the bike and seeming like he had no control.

  • We can do without the suspenseful music.

  • These policemens are better then the ones in L.A fuck..the ones in l.a take it up the ass..and yells and does alot shit..these cops sound more understanding.

  • i agree we have a cop in our town who is nice and gives people a chance and all the other cops cant understand why everybody gose to him when they need help or something. the cops here in america nobody likes they take your money from you over every little thing cause its revinue for the town and state. not our safety. but giving people a chance is rare in cops nowa days

  • Oh dude, very proffessional and polite policemen! :)

Maybe that´s why so many people do not try to get away from them in a dangerous chase, but simply stop and listen to the police. No handcuffs in this vid, no "get your ASS on the ground NOW!!!". Just very polite conversation.

    Admirable.

Thumbs up for the british police in this vid!

  • @martialme84 I think what we are witnessing here is the ancient art of conversation and dealing with confrontation without violence, which seems to be the norm today. In those days, you gauged the offenders attitude against the offence. Sometimes a good Bo..ocking was just as good.

  • @advancedbiker Yeah, i hope it hasn´t completely died out.

What does Bo..ocking mean btw.? I couldn´t find any info on the meaning in google. I´m german, that´s why i don´t know all the terms that might not necessarily be taught at school. ;)

    thx

  • @martialme84 lol it should of been bollocking it means a telling off :)

  • @martialme84 I was trying to be polite unlike some of the other comments on here recently. It is bollocking. I right good telling off.!!!

  • @advancedbiker Ah, alright. :)

Yeah, that´ll help if done properly, although i have almost only positive experiences with our police. The speeding tickets i get are well deserved... most of the time.

  • @martialme84 Heaven is where the police are British, the cooks are French, the

mechanics German, the lovers Italian and it's all organised by the

Swiss. Hell is where the chefs are British, the mechanics French, the

lover's Swiss, the police German and it's all organised by the Italians.

  • @MustangsCanTurnToo So true...;)

  • @martialme84 I have been stopped many times in the UK. I lived there for years.

I never got a ticket and have always just had bit of a talking to and then "goo on, on your way son. Don't let me catch you at it again"

  • @martialme84 fuck the police!

  • @martialme84 I agree. Those in U.S.A.....just a minute...the police are kicking in my door now and crashing through the windows.....Okay, I'm back. They just wanted to ask if I would like to purchase tickets to the policemans ball. :-\

  • @martialme84 Is it me or is that just the difference between european and american cops?

  • get a life you sad cunts they aint even given it some safe over take fuk all commin tossers when you ride a bike fast we look round the bend and see fuk alls comin so we dont hit anything do you fukin think that silly siereen dont scarre us more

  • get a life you sad cunts they aint even given it some safe over take fuk all commin tossers

  • like street hawk :)

  • Mad Max style...

  • Guys but thats the whole point of having a bike.. Its the feel of freedom and the adrenaline that you get when you overtake on those god damn white lines...

  • Driving on the wrong side!!!

  • we all should get the fucking a

  • The cat & fiddle 'death' road is full of inbred, retarded braindead bikers riding at twice the speed limit. I know because I used to live in Buxton.

  • advancedbiker, dead right on this. had a copper in the 70's smack my mate up the face for grinning at him after being pulled for jummping the cliff vale bridge at mybe 40mph. we thought his reaction was funny, but we never did it again just incase that same copper was there. Bit like life on mars!!!!

  • bull shit police should not trap bikers like that. that will just make them race thinking its a biker..untrapment ....never stop that mad driving ....

  • hitting speeds upwards of 50 miles an hour, crossing double yellow... these guys are OUT OF CONTROL

  • What the hells going on with the hair at 2:49 ? . . . . thats a serious come-over

  • Comment removed

  • oh ye, that unmarked police man is SOO COOL xD

  • "Am I getting done? I might as well sell my bike if I am getting done" lol no pressure on the cop like.

  • did that cop say he was caution him lol that was before the world economical crises nowadays no matter in what country you are they just write you a ticket and a ticket worth a full weeks wages

  • @BurningWicky1 don't drive like an idiot, and you won't get any tickets, most motorcycle accedents are caused by the idiot on the bike.

  • di tante moto potenti all'epoca!!quel cesso di bmw

  • Like scoobies and chavs don't give it large, look at the average age of motorcyclists now, only ones that can afford to insure them, Mr Deepdiver, I'm also an ex- squaddie, plod, with the medals to prove it, also a deepdiver, you might even know me, that was a bad year, whats the stats now?

  • Having spent 23 years in the Police service and most of that time on the Traffic department (motorcyclist) I have been to many motorcycle fatalities, it's true to say some times it was not the fault of the motorcyclist. But most I have investigated are and the main reason was rider education, that is to say the riders abilities fell short of the performance of their machine.

The road is no place to test your skills or the lack of.......

  • 11 dead, jesus wept! How patronising is the news woman! I think bikers know they are risking their lives.

  • Whats with that bearded copper at 2.49.........that is one criminal haircut.

'Now PC Combover, I sentence you to a number 1 all over, Barber, take him down.....and get out the clippers'

  • Excellent video.

  • I couldn't see no bikes racing on this video, the only thing I saw was someone crossing solid white lines. Race pace would be too extreme, That policeman catching him up wasn't racing, just cruiseing. Only a biker will know its not racing in this video and car driver hasn't got a clue. The chances are if someone was racing, the video bike wouldn't have kept with them unless rossi was on bike lol.

  • Haha! VHS videocamera! great!!

  • Hi Cobb. I was young and felt the need for pushing it! Not that I was. The cop on the bike was a nice guy, shame about the cop in the car! What a tosser!!! Obviously not a biker. We are all guilty of things like that most just don't get caught, lol. Never mind eh. 30 quid and 3 points for that. Not bad!!! Had to stop riding due to car driver not f@@king looking. Ouch. Rant over. Peace!

  • "on this occassion, i'm going to give you a caution"

Pfffft, the fucking good ol' days. That doesn't happen these days!

  • @CobbZ2007 I was only talking to someone about that same point today. The modern day Police Service does not train officers to communicate with the public. They can not deal with confrontation in conversation. In the good old days, you used to able to chat, have a good laugh, give someone a bo..ocking and it worked. You gained respect.

  • @CobbZ2007 It`s all about collecting money these days. They just use the situation to gather cash and couldn`t give a toss about your safety.

  • @CobbZ2007 Thats not true of all, last year i was pulled over by a traffic police who had to gun his merc to catch me and he was cheerful had a good chat, checked my bike and told me if he catches me again he'l have me ;p

  • great vid thanks for posting, I think what this country needs is a health service that we must pay for rather than national insurance, either that or bigger fines and more points. I'm a biker myself and for what I saw of the white bike I would consider a re take on the test for him.

think before you twist the throttle... remember friends n family love you...and also remember not just you on the road other people with familys too.

  • what can i do for you officer?

will tell you in a minute, just need to rewind this vcr

    looooooooool

  • @mientus147 lmaol

  • id love to get paid to race people on a motorcycle on public roads

  • All going to stop this year. Average speed cameras have gone live this month.

  • whats a vhs lol

  • BMW tourer, sam brown belt, etc - how did they catch anyone?

  • @siraff2 lol those guys are trained to ride right .its not what your riding. its how you ride it . do a course see how much you improve . You'll be surprised . Safe riding

  • cat and fiddle man thats a mint run.... they have helicopter police patrols on that run now. and are meant to be putting cameras on each end of the run which gives an average speed it took to complete. loll at the secret camera with a vhs in it hahahahahhaha.

  • 4:30 is the bike copper trying to get inside the truck?

This video is full of retro hilarity, from the bikes to the VHS in the pannier :P

  • @redwingryders

Good point, imagine if they charged a fee to use the track for a few hours how much revenue they would raise, everyone knows just booking someone will not make them slow down

  • You fly past someone on a BMW tourer with a Sam Brown belt and then he' sticks right on your tail - would have thought anyone would think that it just might be a bobby wouldn't they?

  • Police care so much how about build and sponsor a track for riders. Oh yea no money in that.

  • i do know 1 thing it is only to make money and if you watch the vid at 55-60 seconds the copper not far of the line too as he is going to fast for the bend in a near uprite postion lol tosser shuld of gime him self a ticket for dca

  • Would'nt a marked police bike and car with video equipment deter more speeders, or is just fro money

  • Great till the cops realised there was massive profit to be made in pontificating how idiots should kill themselves - now it's just expensive - massive revenue from speeding fines & bugger all change in the statistics.

  • @7:34, Performance Bikes magazine logo in debris, says it all. Bunch of knee down, wheelying hooligans, man I really should cancel that annual subscription I've had for the last fifteen years (not)! Ride safe, make progress!

  • Check out (140mph Motorcyclist filmed by unmarked police bike)

  • haha back in the day when cops got told to f**k right off when on the cat's road

  • of course he wount do it again :D

  • 1:07 Date 12-04-09? That's weird...

  • hah that brilliant, the vhs in the box

  • I'd like to see more vids this kind... good vid !!!

  • @antemiu Thanks

  • yea i totally agree, if they are driving dangerously and putting not their own life at risk but others too, a ticket and a little chat will not help. but i feel sometimes that police (that i have met, not all police) a more interested in fining people than educate people. but there are some police out there that do a really good job, being a firefighter i work closely with them and some are great, especially the older more experienced officers!

  • the police cant talk to us anymore, they think tickets will help instead of being understandable, fair enough with dangers speed, but i was fined for doing 36 on an empty 30mph road.

i cant beleive she said at beginning 24 senconds in, saying they are taking a new approach of dealing with young men and motorbikes....... bit sexist really!

  • Akthough I dont agree with tickets at those sorts of speeds, however, people need to learn somehow about riding/driving safely with consideration for others. Giving people a talking to and adivce does NOT work now..people are too arrogant to think people know better than them - thats why there are shoi riders out there. Look at some of the accidents if you dont agree.
